Friend of mine from back in the day plays Beardy McGeneric in the second short. I haven't kept up with him lately, but this was his first "big time" acting gig & he went on to make a couple more much better movies (notably The Signal). He said, "Some struggling young actors did porn, but I can't judge. I did Creepshow 3."
"ANY twist is GOOD so long as it's UNEXPECTED!!"
-the battle cry of the hack horror filmmaker post-Sixth Sense
Haven't you seen Unbreakable or Knock on The Cabin?
I love all the pauses Lupa had here.
Lupa.exe has stopped working! Please restart!
The Alice story was basically "let's rip off a few Goosebumps books, mash them together without attempting to merge them, and do it about one tenth as well. Also gore."
Now that you mention it, it does remind me of the one where the kid turns into a dog.
Tales From The Darkside is the "REAL" Creepshow 3.....
Funny how the film that couldn't even use the name (something about rights issues or something) has more to do with the franchise than the actual continuation.
I actually bought this movie, sight unseen, from a closing video rental place back in the day. To say I was disappointed when I sat down to watch it would be a massive understatement.
I think the twist of the first story is that she was always a rabbit (specifically a test rabbit) turned into a human. But that's about it.
I am sure you know that this isn't the true Creepshow 3. Tales from the Darkside: The Movie is the true Creepshow 3.
That Vincent Price horror anthology movie from the late 80's "From a Whisper to a Scream" would also be a better "Creepshow 3" than this piece of crap, but you're right about "Tales from the Darkside: The Movie".
That was a great film, I need to track a DVD/BluRay copy of that.
I remember seeing the black cat jumping into the guys mouth when I was a kid. That scared the crap out of me then I asked wtf happen
Agreed!
@Frizzurd Hey, I'm not sure if you have seen these anthologies but here we go, CreepTales, Two Evil Eyes, Monster Club, The House That Dripped Blood, Terror Eyes, Future Shock, Body Bags, Tales from the Hood, Twists of Terror, The Uncanny, Asylum, From Beyond The Grave, Dr.Terror's House of Horror, Dead Time Stories, After Midnight, Campfire Stories, Tales of Halloween, Trick r Treat, Campfire Tales, The Willies, Trilogy of Terror 1 & 2, Dead of Night, Freakshow, Fright House, GrimTales, Mania, House of the Dead, Scream Time, Tales from the Crypt, The Valut of Horror, Fright Show, Wispher to a Scream, Tales from the Third Dimension, Tales from the Darkside, Cat's Eye, Nightmares and Twilight Zone: The Movie and Screams of a Winters Night. I'm sure I'm missing a few more.
this movie is on youtube and i was going to watch it. thanks for saving me
I love how most of the reaction shots are less reaction shots and more Lupa Slowly having a brain anneurism and dying.
Ms. Obscurus Lupa, your facial expressions were awesome. Loved every one of them....
Suffered through this garbage pile of a movie recently and watching it fully, I kinda realized something pointed out here as a plot hole;
Alice isn't supposed to be a girl changing into a rabbit, but a rabbit that was accidentally changed into a girl, then back to a rabbit. That's what the scientist-man means when he says 'but this is who you really are'. And that's why you see Alice-bunny in a segment later - that portion takes place prior to the opening one, before this transformation nonsense.
Still, this plot-hole aversion doesn't save the movie from being awful.
Penguin DT And that doesn't explain the melting and why some of the remote functions are tied to remote settings, however loosely, and other just happen to happen
ill accept that. but why did the family think alice was their daughter
Are you sure about that? I took that as the deformed look was how she really looked in the inside. I mean something she complained about was nitpicky.
Like in the same segment the Professor said the Detective's device and Loopa took that to mean the detective made when I think it just meant he ones it.
I took it as a shitty retelling of Alice in Wonderland
Creepshow 3 makes Shark Attack 3 look like Citizen Kane.
It makes “The Room” look like “The Godfather”!
That's a pretty understated reaction to finding your bride-to-be dismembered and in the oven. That whole scenario might have made for some dark humour, but the execution is so terribly flawed, like everything in this film.
Or whatever.
Great classic review on easily the worst horror anthology I have ever seen myself. And easily the most frustrating. I am a huge fan of Creepshow and of Creepshow 2 and I was looking forward to another installment in the franchise and this was not worth the wait. It was Shitshow 3. Becuase every single thing about this was shit.
That's not how opinions work notquiteordinary, we have no control over what we like or dislike.
Nice burn!
Welcome to Awkward Silence The Movie.
Aka my social life.
Or Awkward Horror Science Show as the title?
In the first one, maybe Alice is meant to have always been a rabbit which the professor turned into a human. That would explain part of the ending.
Seen a few movie nights. This was the funniest so far. Ya got a sub :)
Lupa's "Dafuq??" expression... priceless.
The woman who played the bride in the third story understandably became a realtor.
good for her
Your review of this "film" was way more entertaining than the actual film. Bravo!!!!
So...”Creepyville” is another name for Stanford?
Even if kathy was a robot i dont think the professor would like you taking her apart.
I seriously don't get that. It seems like they were trying to play it for laughs, but there's nothing funny about an apparently nice woman being gruesomely disemboweled in a gratuitous gory way. It's just mean spirited and makes me think the creator is an asshole.
Worst of all she's reassembled in a Frankenstein and her murderers are apparently never brought to justice.
Makes you wonder how certain brains work. Obviously, the writers and creators of 3 saw the first two. They tried to mimic it. That failed in so many obvious ways. It's so weird to see people fail so completely at their job.
YES! I've been looking for this review for a while. Thanks! One of my favorites, honestly
Hi Lewis, was not expecting the Fat Grandma cameo!
Great one Allison
Tales from the Darkside: the Movie is considered by many as the *real* Creepshow 3.
I perfect the first creepshow more to it and more exciting to watch than the other ones
“Canada or Mexico?
Pretty broad fuckin’ sign, don’cha think!?”
i busted a gut!
J
That look you give was great and made the review worth watching
"... Old antenna radio."
Wait, do radios not use antennas anymore?
Imagine the Prostitute Killer had killed a Guy with like 3 identical brothers living i the same Town and she would keep seeing them, thinking its his Ghost haunting her, driving her to suicide?
I dont know...
13:08 It's funny but I bet nowadays escorts really *do* have webpages lol
Adiaha Alexander lol yeah it's called Craigslist
It's really easy to do a still take and just be stupid and uninteresting, but you nailed it at around 8:00. I laughed the whole time you are staring into space!
I can hold my breath for a long, long time!
Temmie Plays! Moo
"What button was that, huh!?"
Love it.
Clearly she was already a rabbit and was just changing back. It's the plot of My Hairiest Adventure from Goosebumps. The Universal Remote is unrelated.
Goosebumps did it better!
Maybe it's just copying the plot of that story and also 'Click' at the same time, I don't know if this came before or after the Adam Sandler movie but it seems like it's trying to be like that. And yeah I don't get...it would make sense if she was a wererabbit or something.
@@nathanforester5993 there’s actually a goosebumps short story and episode called Click with a magic remote that came out before the Adam Sandler film
''The local tabloids have dubbed the culprit the Call Girl Killer!''
Doesn't that make her sound more like someone who kills call girls rather than a call girl who kills people?
15:00
that is creepy... the movie sucks, but that's creepy
Yeah, that's where 90% of the budget must have gone.
I was looking through the comments for any timestamps for jumpscares, so thanks for the warning :)
8 of the people who helped make CREEPSHOW 3 gave this video the thumbs down.
Holy crap! How am I not subbed to ALLISON!? (SPIT TAKE!)
I don't know how many times someone can say "that's not funny" in one movie, but I suspect this is the movie that holds the record.
For good and goddamn holy hell's sake, THANK YOU!!! (Nice Newgrounds reference too!)
Gotta be honest here. I was digging through the playlist when I saw this video. Before that, I had never ever heard of Creepshow 3. I haven't finished the video, but after hearing that this came out on 2007, I'm already predicting shitty CGI and an overabundance of jumpscares.
This movie should be called C.I.N.O.
Creepshow In Name Only.
I love this review.
Alarming realization, five years later: Alice's father, the actor Roy Abramsohn, went on to star in the steaming pile that was "Escape from Tomorrow," that 'guerilla Disney' film that made no sense and epitomized (for me) the word "pretentious." Also the word "crap."
Assuming that he has an agent, they should have a long, heart-felt talk.
Monty R Thirty dollar plastic wands
I finally got the “who was phone?” Joke! Last Podcast on the Left!
This was better than the movie. She is funny as hell!!!!!!!!!!
i like the ending of creepshow 2 because it has billies bullies meating there end there eaten whole by billies venus fly traps
17:10 He's clearly a professor from the Neil Breen School of Science and Technology
Back in his heyday he would always be haulin' out bags filled with destroyed laptops that he smashed in unexplained fits.
Ugh I wish I had seen your review before I got this movie from Netflix. You pretty much hit all the problems I had with it right on the head.
During the prank montage he says "Why don't you try the bathroom" Try the bathroom? Who speaks that way? That's creepy and gross
Creepshow 3? More like Shitshow 3!
Or Tales from the Septic Tank!
Ok the
Canada

Sign legit has me cracking up. 😅
The Alternate title for Creepshow 3 is Scary Movie 6
I rented this back in the day. I was really hyped that there was a new Creepshow movie, and was very disappointed with it.
I've never seen it and I don't even remember it coming out. It looks syfy quality.
Even SyFy channel movies have better film quality than this garbage!
I can’t believe I just said that!
But Wait!
Alice IS A PRETTY NAME! Get it?... no? ok me either....
I wish they still made horror like this...american horror story WAS similar in the start but not anymore...however i did enjoy the 80s versio but idk i love horror that has slight comedy!
I'm only 16 minutes in THIS video. I only watched the first short of this "movie" and I already want to see YOUR versions of the "Call Girl" segment short because at least THAT had SOME potential.
This video was made before Tales From The Hood 2. Trust me, you don’t want to watch that.
Watching Creepshow 3 is the same thing as self-harm. If you see anyone watching CS3 please tell them to get proper help
This movie is tough to get through lol

Thankfully we have the Creepshow TV show to redeem the name!
If you want a proper Creepshow 3, just go watch Tales from the Darkside (1990). Tom Savini himself even considers it the *true* Creepshow 3.
At my local record store, they have a section of DVDs and I saw this movie there. It's $14.99 and has been there awhile. If someone actually buys it, they should get an air fryer, portable A/C
and a gift card to Olive Garden thrown in... getting someone to pay money for that dung heap is like trying to kick water uphill...
Thankfully Creepshow got a reboot in the form of a series on Shudder. This would have been the worst send off to a unique concept otherwise.
The Cake thing with the Professor was interesting to point out after showing the clip of him saying she was already this melty boil covered mess because I haven't seen Creepshow 3, although sometimes story that are connected still get told in different orders. The Professor could have made the remote & already screwed around with reality for Alice to have a life with that Family. She could have actually been a Bunny the whole time. I can't say for sure since I didn't write any of these, just sayin it's possible
7:54 Right there with you Allison
I accidently watched this movie a few years ago and had that same blank facial expression while I tortured myself with this blank void of a student (?) film.
"To make a long story short..." Um, too late?
Yeh i couldnt believe this was a creepshow
I thought that movie was a fever dream
So the first segment seems to be a rip off of Click... which may I remind you, also has an Adam Sandler and Goosebumps adaptation.
Maybe they got a new cake because Alice ate the old one
I think I saw this movie and blocked it out or forgot it until seeing this video just now.
I love your funny faces at some of the more absurd parts of this terrible film. Off-topic: Are you a Wisconsin or Minnesota native? I only ask because of your accent.
i remember watching this and it being the first time i ever realised that some movies are just complete nonsensical garbage, somehow.
7:55 my real life provided critics chirping
1:32! That boy wears Freddy's sweater.
11:10 - heh, I have a Grundig shortwave radio just like that.
All I can say is WTF? The 3rd short is the most disturbing Thing ever.
I was a fan of the original Creepshow and to a lesser extent the second. But this one is a total train wreck.
Just because Romero, King and Savini were involved in Creepshow 2, doesn't mean it's any good.
6:36 johhny truman?
Love you Lupa
2:29 just wait till you see XX.
Two points: One for actually sitting through this blasphemy, and another for the line, "Your hand has Johnny Tremained Itself!"
I didn’t get that reference.
"Creepshow 3 is the worst anthology film ever"
What about Movie 43?
That radio was no Mr. Motivation. Anyone get that reference?
They should do another Creepshow 3 make it like the other ones but different stories
7:10 I'm assuming it's because Alice's father probably hit a "rewind" button, not only pulling Alice back in time but also rendering her out of phase with the rest of the world, and then hit a "fast forward" button, accelerating her deformity, but what do I know. :)
so wait what`s with the talking radio? What did it have to do with the killer call girl?
Yeah according to Wikipedia, you're right. In the talking radio segment ends with the radio telling the dude that the prostitute's gonna kill him, then the prostitute kills him then I think the pimp kills the prostitute afterwards, or the pimp picks up the talking radio.
I think the cake in the first one was a reference to Alice in Wonderland. In the book Alice eats cake and then drinks something to get to the right size to go through a door (one pill makes you larger and one pill makes you small)
with the exception of the radio story all the rest feel unfinished they don't have definitive endings they just feel like someone writing then gave up by the end they said "here, do whatever with this, i don't care."
I feel like if they actually made her a competent, cold-blooded killer prostitute the twist would have worked better... but I think that would be beyond this movie's abilities.
