The 2022 BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is so good that it might re-ignite the entire people carrier genre. Might. It's like a mini BMW iX - a car that can cost north of £100,000. Mark explains all.

#BMW #2Series #ActiveTourer - Авто/Мото
Have the 1st gen and it’s brilliant. This is a no brainer once I’ve worn it out.
I think it’s a really good car, like a Skoda Octavia for posh people. Looking forward to seeing this interior again in the X1
The nicest grill in any BMW nowadays.
Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. I think it's one of the ugliest cars I've ever seen.
Think the car you are showing at 9.35 is the previous Gran Tourer (7 seats) rather than the old version of the Active Tourer…just saying 😊 Great review as always.
any one know if the 2 plug-in versions have a heat pump?
I am sorry, but am I correct to assume that you got a HUUUGE phone shelf, but Qi charger is in the middle so if you want to charge, you can have only one phone there, and if you want to have a second, you have to stuck it upside down to connect cable, and then the second will not be aligned with wireless charger?
Minging grill marra ( not you Mark!).
How does the 218 compare?
Really like this BMW.
Have 2018 msport great family car 👍
Nice, but since July 2023 all BMW Series 2 Active Tourer cars (U06) had entered into a cost cutting phase. The car as presented in the video is not looking the same now. For example, they remove even the glovebox light and currently there is hole there, they remove the nice stitching on the door pannels, they remove the door sills and the wing M badges (for M sport trim) and many others that are not easely observerd. It's a pity since it is the last german car manufacturer that was still keeping the small car segment still with a premium feeling, not just by the price.
How’s about Voice Control. Does that solve the missing buttons.
Right, to my knowledge, voice control has been improved a lot. Perhaps we should just try it out.
Très bonne vidéo et commentaires très intéressantes. Merci ☺️
Merci! 😁
@@vanaramauk Your french is impecable.
Looks like BMW got it right, on this one.
I wish it would be better than the latest B class, to have a choice, but not on one thing : The gearbox and the 18d engine are really not as good as what you get with a B200d and its nice gearbox. Sadly...
Why isn't there going to be a 7-seater Gran Tourer version this time, like there was with the previous generation?
I bought this car a week ago. This is a great car for one person, not for a family. 👌🏻
I see they’re still doing away with the shortcut keys in favour of the touchscreen 😔
Drawbacks according to the review: 1) no physic climate controils; 2) Dual clutch gearbox instead of a torque converter, 3) No iDrive button to control infotainment. Want a solution? Buy the previous version. I have a 225xe that has all of this, same engine, same power (small battery though). Charges faster than this one and it's a brilliant machine! Materials quality and assembly in my opinion is better than this new version. Practicality: exactly the same. Even the boot has the same capacity,
I’ve ended up in an SUV just because there is no electric non SUV that fits all the kit I need to carry (and isn’t an MG)… and I won’t buy one again, it’s just not as good to drive as a proper car… so not all the consumers’ fault?
I can only think this car exists for the Rozzers to stash hidden flashing LEDs and come out of the woodwork inadvertently 👮♀️
I think I properly like it. It’s just a 1 series for us tall people. Winner.
Or olduns with stiff backs like 6'3" me 👌
@@andrewwheeler8591 right there with ya, I’m early 30s and rolling around on tennis balls to get the knots out
Howling 🤮lol cracking video Mark
Top f the range model can cost over 65,000 euros
Killing SUVs sounds great
A tooth brush moustache grill ... in a German car!! Bit unfortunate
I like a passenger with a convenient fla.... OK, OK, I'll leave it...
Anyway, nice review, it looks a lot more interesting than a Touran, which I found to be very practical but one of the dullest cars I've ever had..... perhaps it does better in a higher spec...
How do all of the latest BMWs manage to look so fugly.
Really Ugly looking car.
Spectacles could be the problem 😎
If only BMW didn't ruin their cars by giving them such huge, ugly grilles. Whatever happened to pretty cars? ... and not black, please, so difficult to keep clean and it hides styling lines
