Not where I would expect to find a function like this in the menu. It is also a bit convoluted to set up - though not hard. It did work and got the job done, so glad to have the functionality and a video to explain how to use.

There is a Volumill process option.
    It is better to use.

Thank you for this. I run into these open slot parts quite a bit. Is there a better way than creating a line down the middle to do this? What process could you use that would cut the slot and extend past the ends a bit, yet staying accurate to the sides? I've really struggled with this and feel like I have to so the draw the line method to do it. Feel like there's a way I'm missing. Thanks and hope this doesn't come off as not appreciating this method.

Another option is to use Volumill. I prefer Volumill it is quicker and easier. If you need help with Volumill contact your reseller and they can help you.

I knew of this trick this this trick for quite a some time but never really felt I had a good application for it. Just recently I had the mod a heat-treated part and relied on this trick to get it done. Two days later, this video pops up. How ironic.
