The best part about that scene is that she isn’t even lying about her motives directly, she’s just manipulating Subaru by making her motives look less bleak and by hiding other things from him. In fact, she’s written in such a way where she doesn’t even lie once, because she doesn’t need to in order to manipulate someone. This is probably in order to establish trust, so that when she reveals something self-contradictory, the audience has to play mental gymnastics in order to figure out how said self-contradiction can make sense.
Talk about sucker punch to the feels! Mob, Ranking of Kings, Aot and so on really get to you because we grow on the journey with them, and when something tragic happens. We feel it too :'(
When the church door opens in Trigun, and the birds fly through the frame, I lose it... I don't even have to watch it, just thinking about it gets me crying.
Good list over the last four parts. My top three would have to be Rengoku in Mugen Train. Next would be Yuuki's funeral service when the whole entire server comes to pay their respect in SAO. The number one has to go to the master of storytelling, Mr Miyazaki. Grave of the fireflies. The whole movie is just a gut punch watching the siblings struggle. You literally felt it every step of the way. But there are so many other moments that grab ya right by the feels. I wanna see part 5 🤘
