How much do you charge for this job?

I would always push towards replacement of the unit if its in that poor condition. But depends on the season. It was not too expensive for the customer because I wanted to do this video of full of problems. This job not worth the money. Swap it if you have similar issues.

Why cut both ends of shift? why not just push shaft through to where it should be at one side and then only cut one end perhaps the pulley side. ( DUH ) Also I notice that you put the pulley on backward from the way you took it off. I think the set bolt should be on the out side so as to be able to tighten it better thats what im seeing from other videos.

Good point. This repair was done to buy some time while we was waiting on new swamp cooler. Im not sure if it shows on video but that blower wheel was about to go out as well, so I try to make it work for a week. Equipment in this condition we replace, but in emergency cases we would try to make it work till it will be done correct. New bearing stuck at the position that I couldn't move and it was making sense to me to just cut both ends (faster then struggle with bearing). If you work on the field - you know that repairing by the book isnt always good or smart in certain circumstances. ✌️

You're making fun of the guy before you and you have the wrong type of bearings you need the taller bearings plus you needed the collers to keep the blower center.
