by fire is one my favorite hiatus kaiyote songs. this cover is... fire. nai palm's singing is so characteristic that i was really curious to hear the singing in this one. it's brilliant.

His playing on "Teddy Ruxpin" was sublime@@zedleppelin031. Unlike rock bands when one loses an original member of a jazz ensemble the whole chemistry of the outfit is off :(

Strikes me as a bit gratuitous not to have a separate bass player especially when the drumming has to be constrained to cater to it. Besides both the drummer and bassist are excellent on their own, why limit Nate's potential just to look cool? Other than that, obviously cool given this is Kneebody

Yeah theres always joy and pleasure as a viable reason. Plus allowing bass and drums to be interwoven via a single human form inherently suggests the greatest pocket of all time.
