I love how some of the phrases used are ones my irish teacher constantly harps on about ( like ar muin na muice ) because “the examiners always love a bit of cais”
When people speak with normal Irish accents it’s actually easy to understand. But when people start speaking whatever accent they decided to make up for the aural, you’re never gonna understand even in English.
I lived in Ireland. I just know 4 words in irish hahah. But I didn't learn irish in school because I'm not irish 😂. Just my friends taught me a bit in irish but jesus christ, this languange is one of the difficults language I have ever heard in my life
Duolingo has a course on Irish for free. I recommend you take a look at this course, especially at the notes section of each lesson, as it has notes on grammar, and talks you through each lesson. I suggest you at least take a look at it. I used it for my Junior Cert as I lacked knowledge conjugation and verbs and vocabulary. I also go to my local Irish Conversational Group so I can practice my Irish. Also, check out TG Lurgan's YT channel for some songs to listen to so you can enjoy the language more. An t-ádh leat, agus ní gá i do bheith neirbhíseach. Ar aghaidh leat!
I can confirm this did not work for my leaving cert. Thanks lads.
I got detention

What's funny is that he used 3 of the exact phrases that our teacher has taught us and hammered into our heads.
