    seems like every video tries to hide the sound of the motor. It must still be very loud

      @briw4647 Год назад +2

      I've seen a video before , I can't find it now. It's not sure of the new ones , but the old ones were not super loud but noticeable. I would find it annoying after a while I'm sure

      I have one and it is quite loud. Pushing it at 3500-4000 watts lvl 5 sounds pretty insane. Def not quieter but still and amazing motor for me.

      @@vedantagarwal2988 thanks for the honest input I appreciate that. It looks ike a very powerful and capable motor. That sound though. I see people riding barely 10mph, and it sounds like a Sun Ron going 50mph. Can hear it from a block away.

    One problem with the CYC and probably others, is the Q factor, which is how wide the stance is over the pedals. If it is too narrow or too wide knee problems can develop. I need a narrow stance. If I try to ride a bike with a triple crank (larger stance) I will shortly have knee pain. If you do not pedal often and just depend on the motor, you will be fine

    Absolute top quality video, i have been searching for this exact video of a CYC build for ages, btw your battery looks like it weighs nothing placing it into frame one handed my 48v 15ah is like 5kg, lol

    Are you satisfied with this frame battery bag? Does the battery stay in it stably? Is there a risk of it overheating on hot summer days? I'm asking because I'm thinking about a similar conversion.

    What full suspension mtb’s do you recommend for a project like this? My budget is $2000 - $4000 for the bike itself. Preferably a carbon frame and not an enduro build. Something all mountain or trail oriented. Appreciate the advice!

  • @BroosDager

    Got mine in June, had 2 months of fun, and the motor blew in August after 150 miles.
    The motor has thousands of magnet particles all over the inside of the motor visible thru the glass after chewing up the magnets that flew off the rotor. CYC sent me a replacement rotor and 2 loose bearings lol. I told them they need to send a replacement motor and new gaskets (that's what they sent baconbutties on utube who had the same issue).
    They handle the utuber warranty correctly, and are gonna stiff the rest of us who are suffering the same motor issues. Why would they just send a rotor to repair a motor that pulverized magnets into thousands of tiny chunks? No mention of testing the coils which could be damaged, so that nec step to a motor rebuild is disregarded. And what would happen after you attempted to blow out the thousands of magnet chunks, missed a few (I don't think it's possible to get them all), replaced the rotor, then returned it to service only to have these chunks start flying around in the motor (there goes another rotor). My experience was awesome for 2 months, and now it sucks waiting on them to send me the proper parts. A replacement rotor is BS when they know their customers aren't capable of a proper motor rebuild.
    Wish I would have gotten a bafang now lol. I'm still waiting to hear if CYC will send me the required parts for a decent repair (replacement motor and gaskets).

      Same here... after 3 months left me dead at a stop light in rush hour traffic. Have been ghosted by Golden Motors. Sold my 3 year old BBSHD powered bike I built to a roommate. He still rides. I pay a quarter of my take home pay to Lyft and Uber. My difference? 215 miles, no error codes, battery and display fine. Oh, and my clear plastic core cover came out of the box shattered. Got a red billet aluminum replacement out of pocket from ElectrifyBike of Utah.

      Which is exactly the reason I'm not throwing down £1000 on a golden motor dude. I expect it to last and after-sales to resolve it, if it doesn't, if they aren't interested they can forget the sale.
