How were you feeling before you were born? Now while this sounds like something so right and intelligent it's quite the opposite. I'll ask this who remembers the first day after they were born? Who remembers the first month after they were born? Anyone remember anything during their first year of life? So if we did exist before we were born how could I remember anything before I was born if I cant remember anything while I was born.
If they’re all telling the same thing, then they’re telling the truth here. We Catholics strongly believe in the afterlife as the continuation of our earthly life, meaning when God creates us, we became eternal beings. But the state of your « second life » depends on your actions. If most of your acts were moral (good) then you’ll enjoy the fruits of your good actions for eternity. But if they were too bad and unforgivable in the eyes of God, then you’ll suffer the consequences eternally, but The Church (Catholic) doesn’t say anything about any creature suffering in hell right now because no one knows. What we know is (that God is very compassionate and merciful) that there are a lot of proofs of the other world, heaven, like the 500 testimonies of the Resurrection of Christ for example.
@@travismccutchan3144 Many people say that a loving God could not send people to a place like Hell but if He did not punish sinners for their sin and let everyone into Heaven then why should we try to live right if man kind has no punishment for His actions? It would also not be right for God to let those that don't know Christ into Heaven because sinners have an evil heart. Therefore, would be a repeat of what we have now. He would also be contradicting His own words in the Bible when it says in Matthew 25:46. "And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. "Jesus Himself said that! God loves everyone but He will not allow sin into Heaven because it destroys everything it touches!
I'm not a Christian but I do believe in God and his son Jesus... but did you ever come to think that the light you see after death is the doctor pulling you out of your new mothers vagina and your crying because you are leaving your old family behind and are starting a new life and journey all over again, and evenually over time you begain to forget about all the life you had before... IDK JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT..
Same for me. I hear all the scientists like Stephen hawking and so on talk how there is nothing after you die... how you just stop existing. This idea is keeping me awake for a couple days now and i think i might have a depression from this. I spend the whole day looking for scientific proof of an afterlife. People like doctor Sam give me hope but the fact they all have a book they are trying to sell makes me have doubt again. I hope you have found your answer after more than a year now and i hope you can share it with me.
@@StormBoss as a Christian but someone who is also trying to be very realistic and trying to think in a realistic way I sometimes wonder if I am just trying to find a reason to believe there is life after death because i am scared of dying and the end of my existence. Anything other than the life I have right now seems scary, even if the afterlife is just my soul floating around in space in eternal peace. My best hope is that either heaven exists like described in the bible or that reincarnation is real. Right now i am trying to find a way to comfort myself.
i Natural NDE death of respiratory failure ,,,but also alcohol poisoning obe...its scary ,,,hell demons are real ,,but also an illusion ..like life is a dream too.
I'll find out what happens when I die. Would be neat to keep going on and seeing what happens in whatever reality is next, then after that, then after that and so on but if nothing happens then oh well, it will be like before I was born...as in I wont even care because I can't care if I no longer exist. But it would be cool to explore the universe and see if aliens exist and what other planets look like with their "life" on their planets, or even exploring things my brain can't even begin to understand because my brain is not able to understand. Would also be cool to explore my own human experience in certain memories i've had and the emotions that came with it, maybe even other peoples memories and their emotions. Hell maybe even my pets emotions and how they felt at different times with me as their owner or what made them happy/sad.
My understanding (not stating that this is fact because it is what I have heard) is that the "collective consciousness" that souls return to on the "other side" is relatively all-knowing, therefore we will essentially know and remember all these things that you have listed and even so much more I believe.
No matter the religion, death has drawbacks. If you don't believe in afterlife or reincarnation all drawbacks. I hope we can choose what's next when the body dies.
Not so true. It’s been documented that Muslims that die and come back have seen Christ and Hindus the same thing. Also Atheists that have died and came back have seen Jesus Christ to, so it’s not just what you are expecting!!!
They are getting paid to say that haven't you figured out religion has been created since before me and you even existed.....there was more wars back then and slavery......religion was used to control the masses.....if it were to be true nation wide dont you think there would only be one true religion? Why so much contradictions and confusion? What about aliens where does that explain in scripture?
So that’s implying that the brain is still functioning on some level for some time during the death process, but not necessarily indefinitely. When ALL those cells die eventually, then does consciousness fizzle out too?
No, more and more STUDIES show that consciousness may live without the body as a soul. I mean heck even blind people from birth that have not seen anything SEES them self with VISION and can in DETAIL tell the doctors and nurses what they did and wore etc........ look up research done on blind people you will be shocked....
Ted its not the brain doing the work its the soul the soul leaves the body and has a brain of its own though not the same as our bodys brain its still a brain
This is some sort of sagacity of human but, Allah (sbt)challenged human being to bring a dead person (not unconscious) back, see Sura (Chapter) 56 Ayat 85 to 87 of the Holy Quran; So no human being can bring back the soul of a dead person; I appreciate their try and it will explore the fact of the Holy Quran

My NDE was TERRIFYING: the process of dying by suffocation = takes WAY too long. That I heard the anaesthetists lie about me while I was paralysed by their drugs (but didn't know this, they never told me) make my head explode with anger: I had already put him right before the anaesthesia but he wasn't having it, didn't believe me - he was rude & arrogant and thought he knew me, my body and my lifestyle & habits better than I did = he didn't. Here he says 'after death' but all nerves & neurones don't die the second the heart stops: they take several minutes to die and (I think) other cells take far longer - why is it our nails continue to grow after death? I read that anaesthetists (in the UK) & surgeons are taught to treat anaesthetised patients with dignity and always know that they/we could be hearing - even if paralysed & with eyes taped shut. I suffered anaesthetic awareness together with (because of their errors) suffocation and my death and an out of body experience. I knew I was dead: I couldn't breathe for too long and had to then accept I was about to die. So don't assume it's only those who commit suicide who suffer horrible NDEs - doctors cause some too, then on top they lie, deny and refused even to explain why I couldn't move - a very kind UK expert in anaesthetic awareness answered some of my questions (free of charge & in his own time) because my anaesthetists, the consultant (who wasn't there because it was a weekend), the hospital & its complaints department ALL refused to answer and then even to talk to me. I even rang the anaesthetic department number and left a desperate message but nobody responded. The consultant gave me his mobile phone number and told me if I had any questions I could ring him, which I did but was lied to, then after their farce meeting with me he got his phone to refuse my calls. No bright light other than 'seeing' from my out of body up by the ceiling (but higher) the operating theatre light - or maybe that was when (also) they opened my eye/s while I was paralysed but awake but they didn't know I was? TRAUMA after TRAUMA, for them the original one was nothing and they traumatised me more & repeatedly by CHOICE. 'Caring profession'? Nope: not when they've been negligent and know they are guilty but prefer to save themselves & their reputation/job/salary than help a very injured (physically & psychologically) patient: brain injury, eyes & neck & throat permanently injured & more... Meanwhile they are still employed, still (probably) hurting more patients (maybe some die) because nobody is learning from their errors, not good for patient safety or society/world. So PLEASE talk about NDEs (& out of body experiences) like mine in order to educate people, thank you!
Jenny Hughes I'm so sorry you went through that....that's why I wouldn't put my dogs down...I was afraid they would be conscious and feel paralyzed in their bodies....
Good morning Dr. Oz, I have a really serious question for You. I have autoimmune hepatitis and having medicine called prednisolone. I gained lot of weight in that process. So my question is how should I get rid of weight and try to recover my liver? Thank You for your answer, Gabriele Liaugaudaite, from Lithuania.
If someone has an answer please reply, but why did he say at the beginning that the vast majority of people have a pleasant experience when they die "put aside the people who've tried to commit suicide". Why is suicide a different experience? He didnt explain at all
It might simply mean that he hasn't been next to somebody committing suicide and attempted to bring them back to life and hear their experience. It seems that all these cases are cases of natural death, where he had the opportunity to swiftly take action, bring them back to life and hear their experience. If he could have done the same for someone committing suicide, maybe they would have also said they had a peaceful experience (after the painful act, in the case of jumping or shooting one's self, etc.). If you're thinking of a loved one who committed suicide, I'm sorry. Sending you positive vibes!
These experiences are one sided from this doctor. I've heard stories of people who come back and say what they saw away from where they died/came back to life, such as what someone was doing at home or something that happened not near them. Messages from previous deceased loved ones they never knew but translated it to someone who could only know the answer back here. What is his explanation on these instances? He only explained obvious answers. this does not help much. There are crazy unexplained stories out there and he never touched on them
Although religion doesn't have so much physical evidence to back it up like science does but no matter what, science may go all around and still come back to agree with religion!!
by mathematical probability alone, any person would be inclined to believe in God...just ask yourself...what is the probability that the speed of light would be e equals mc squared or that weak forces and magnetic forces and gravitational forces follow the strict laws of physics...or that neutrons and electrons and protons are moving according to mathematical equations.... what is the probability that all of these things are just Random chance??
Well our knowledge is limited. We think we sternly believe some things to be true like God. But it will take a few centuries to know if we were right or wrong ! For example we once used to believe that a solar eclipse was God showing his anger and human sacrifice was ok. We are the ones who once thought earth was flat and that Sun revolved around the earth. We are just ignorant and arrogant. So we either believe God exists or he doesnt and dont think beyond that.
My father had experienced two deaths (was brought back shortly after each time, all that happened was his heart stopped for a few minutes) and he always tells me that it's colder than cold and darker than dark, a place where you no longer exist, you simply disappear.
mae bee -- Umm besides the cold and darker surroundings your father could have perceived, one thing is certain: you/one continue existing and you/one do Not disappear at all. He came back, and twice, "from there"...
A lot of NDErs call it The Void. Some report a change in surroundings or entities after spending some time there. Though I’ve never died so I have no authority on the matter.
@@Jafarmarar @maebee My understanding is that people who do not believe in an afterlife tend to experience a "void"-like existence when they pass on to the other side; one where they are conscious but they see and hear nothing. Whereas people who do believe in an afterlife, experience the beauty, love, warmth, radiance and bliss that other NDErs describe.
Your father cant die twice. You have near death and then you have death. Simply not breathing or a heart not pumping for a few short minutes is no different than someone who is temporarily out due to drowning for a few moments. He was simply in a sleep state.

how were you feeling before you were born... thats how death feels. That means you are gone. But who are you. what are you. thats is the real question
FortyFourFitness you clearly didn’t understand what he just said lol
The Night King i don’t think you did.
Why wou,do you remember before you were created I have no religion but I hope we all live after death
I don't remember how I felt when I was 1 year old. I guess I was gone back then.
I was searching for hair growth product and it led me to this.
So now you can enjoy your life even being bald
The negative side is, we come back in another life and go through it all over again.
To those that say people aren’t actually dead when this happens, why are all of their experiences the same?
Is this true??
I lost my love...I want to know if he is happy in his afterlife....

Ricky Grubbs not true. God does not send you to hell just because you didn’t know Jesus.
It was very intriguing 👌👌👏👏👏
LOL..Its our job to love and help each other its the real reason why each one of us is put on this earth.

IDK JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT..
megan leann damn never actually thought of it like that
Lmao mind blown 😅
cool
I believe that I am the most scared person of death but after watching this....I still am a bit scared but not as much as I was before
Same for me.
@@Avm371998 I wish I did have an answer but I kinda got thinking... If there is nothing after death then what's the point of memories...
Right now i am trying to find a way to comfort myself.
...and then what happens?
Calvin Hikes Well since you can’t bring someone back after what was explained happened you’d have to die to know in the first place
Hopefully you've accepted Christ and know his love.
there need to be more studies and experiments on DMT, because It appears that this drug´s trip is very similar to NDE´s. I would volunteer for sure
soyboy Many people who do DMT state that it’s much different experience than what NDErs claim. I don’t think it’s necessarily connected.
i Natural NDE death of respiratory failure ,,,but also alcohol poisoning obe...its scary ,,,hell demons are real ,,but also an illusion ..like life is a dream too.

Well, DMT is not that similar to NDE, and it really won't change you. But perhaps, as a demoversion, go for it.
My understanding (not stating that this is fact because it is what I have heard) is that the "collective consciousness" that souls return to on the "other side" is relatively all-knowing, therefore we will essentially know and remember all these things that you have listed and even so much more I believe.
bro just read the bible and you will be fine. pray to God everyday and you will be saved. hope to see you in heaven
I don't want to die. I don't want to not exist anymore. I don't want to die.I really don't....
Yes it is. There are Christians that have seen Shiva.
But what happens after the cord is severed and the spiritual self and body separate? Where does the spirit go?
Bubble. We float into space like a bubble in the air.
Is it me or is he so cute?
But what were we before we were born? Were we something else and not have those memories anymore? Like a plant? A flower? An animal?

How do ppl believe that's there's are magical person in the sky that made us, I find it hella stupid
superX would you believe there’s eternal darkness? Or Atleast some astro body or ghost form
Loke I’ve heard of that before. That’s pretty interesting. But I mean, no one knows if this goes on forever.
But what happens when the brains is completely decomposed
Ted its not the brain doing the work its the soul the soul leaves the body and has a brain of its own though not the same as our bodys brain its still a brain
The Night King I like that insight
When they are describing the room,& stuff after they die. Could it be telepathy maybe. They are reading the Dr's, And nurses minds.
All I gotta say is some people say death is an illusion but I thought it was final but I could be wrong
when was this episode aired?

Batrix phantom well i saw in a dream and I pretty sure it was real life like i was in a conversation about the afterlife with a mate and that night when i went to sleep i died in my dream i think because i was in a forest and tripped on something then woke on a pillar so high in the sky no clouds only mist and I crawled through some hole on this golden pillar and walked up some steps and saw a golden horse i legit thought this was real life as it was so real like when i looked over the edge of the pillar i was creeped out and then i snapped out of it and woke up in the real world and put it straight in my dream journal but yea I bet thats where i go after death but idk i hope
Oz,
I have a really serious question for You. I have autoimmune hepatitis and having medicine called prednisolone. I gained lot of weight in that process. So my question is how should I get rid of weight and try to recover my liver?
Thank You for your answer,
Gabriele Liaugaudaite, from Lithuania.
Actually suicide attempts is a BIIIG nono described by most attempters.
Hay Dr. Oz this is some wild SHITl !!!!!
Hope I become a good doctor. But importantly, a good person.

Ok, but he believes in life after our body death? I didn´t understand, perhaps because I don´t speak English very well...
Although religion doesn't have so much physical evidence to back it up like science does but no matter what, science may go all around and still come back to agree with religion!!

I don't need a scientist to tell me that there is a God. I already know that there is a God!
theres no way to know that, so you chose to believe it because it was taught to you or because you want it to be so
by mathematical probability alone, any person would be inclined to believe in God...just ask yourself...what is the probability that the speed of light would be e equals mc squared or that weak forces and magnetic forces and gravitational forces follow the strict laws of physics...or that neutrons and electrons and protons are moving according to mathematical equations.... what is the probability that all of these things are just Random chance??
Well our knowledge is limited. We think we sternly believe some things to be true like God. But it will take a few centuries to know if we were right or wrong ! For example we once used to believe that a solar eclipse was God showing his anger and human sacrifice was ok. We are the ones who once thought earth was flat and that Sun revolved around the earth. We are just ignorant and arrogant. So we either believe God exists or he doesnt and dont think beyond that.
Louis H. Well tell Robert Green that he is ignorant about God and NDE.

Whyyyyyyy would you go on Dr. Oz, Sam?
My father had experienced two deaths (was brought back shortly after each time, all that happened was his heart stopped for a few minutes) and he always tells me that it's colder than cold and darker than dark, a place where you no longer exist, you simply disappear.
mae bee -- Umm besides the cold and darker surroundings your father could have perceived, one thing is certain: you/one continue existing and you/one do Not disappear at all. He came back, and twice, "from there"...
how did he know its cold and dark if he wasn't there to experience it?
So technically they aren't dead, they are just dead on terms of how we see it
That is one way to look at it. However, it does not explain the NDE experience.
They were dead. Sometimes, god says that your service isn’t done yet and brings you back to life.
Man is burnt alive until only ashes are left:
