Florina, of course you are a good teacher. I keep cymbals panned at -40 & + 40 because I used to follow the stage layout. Western bands keep the Drum kit in the center of the stage, on a high platform. I used to pan at viewrs/audience perspective because the listenrs must get a feel that they are in front of stage or get a live feel.

Great tutorial FLO as always. Its comforting to know the right way to pan all instruments which takes one to the next level. Love your tutorial as they are down to earth and straight to the point. No wishy washy stuff.

Very grateful for your efforts and your kindness. Thank you so mutch. I've a reserve about the drums panning , since the image stereo changes if we stand in front or behind the instrument. Cheers and thnx again.

It's also important to pan things as they were on stage or in a "live" studio situation where there's a lot of leakage between the Microphones and potentially stage monitors.
If you don't keep track of the stage plot potentially you will get a lot of phase issues that distract from the clarity of the mix. Panning the tracks according to the stage plot can really open up the sound and give me more natural final mix.

@flo of music :) loved it, the way you teach is just amaizing. I know there are alot of things to learn about music production. Can you please make a full arrangement video of a cinematic music. Using folk old instruments and how to process them. I guess we will have more organic knowledge then. I love your videos already btw.

Florina,Are you offering online classes on editing, mixing, and mastering? Could you create a video tutorial on editing and mixing a cover song with a karaoke track? I'm looking for something that's not too advanced but also not too basic-suitable for users like me who work with Nuendo 4 or 12 to mix both tracks, but usually without any good knowledge of the proper techniques.
