1 Hour Walking Downtown Halifax on a Saturday Night

- I decided I wanted to go out this evening as work was very busy & a little stressful, so to calm myself down, I wanted to go out for an hour downtown to see what was going on, I was trying to avoid areas where the music level was high which can get tricky, passing the @halifaxconventioncentre9676 a couple times where it has the biggest escalator in the city. Lots of people sitting on the patios especially on Argyle Street. I couldn’t even walk too much on the Halifax Waterfront because it was clogged with people standing & slowly moving, so instead I just took Lower Water Street until I got up to the @thearmourgroupltd heading towards the Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel (pedway system on the waterfront). Then I took a few steps south on Upper Water Street heading up to Barrington Street from Duke Street to the Grand Oasis (highest noise area) back to the heart of the city. Then I made my way back towards where I started on Spring Garden Road, & I just stopped at the intersection of Sackville & South Park, approaching Bell Road.
Also I couldn’t use my DJI App because when videos hit 1 hour, it won’t let me edit it, which kinda sucks

Beatiful city... I like Halifax. Greetings from Spain...
Had no clue Halifax was this lively, better than most cities in Ontario, much better than Edmonton
Then it's completely your fault guy boy if you u had no clue
We all know Halifax is world's best city
@@jontyrhodes4155 why is it the best?
Who in hell would go down town Edmonton nothing but druggies and bums don’t even like going there for hockey game anymore
I think cause there's many university campuses nearby
Halifax is world class kiddo
You better mark that down
I think you captured the vibe of the city really well!
So many great eating establishments in the Downtown area......packed throughout the Spring and Summer months when the City comes alive with tourists.....
Thanks Mark
We used to buy weed at the Winston Churchill statue HAHAHA!! I'm glad it's legal now and we can buy and smoke without the insanity.
Good video
Walk down memory lane for me! Thanks!
Thank you I’m in Halifax in April 2023 and maps don’t do it justice. Should have commented on more business
Me too
Welcome , go on from Egypt 🎉🎉🎉
There is a video recorded in downtown Halifax back in 92 I think it was. My younger brother and my cousin drunk and enjoying themselves. The area is almost unrecognizable now.
I went to a schnauzer dancing party in Halifax once accidentally. I was visiting and just walking around exploring the nightlife and met some nice people who asked me to go to a party. It was in an old bar that seemed lie it was in kind if a tough neighborhood but maybe it just looked that way because the houses were all old. People were dancing and some even brought their pet schnauzers and a band was playing which was singing funk/rock songs about dogs/schnauzers and they had a screen behind them showing videos about schnauzers. Very strange place.
I just visited Halifax this last June my fifth trip to the city it's the most beautiful city I've ever been to nice memories thank you for your video
We have lots of restaurants, see & do, lots of things to do here!
@@onyourmarkgetsetgo2 yes for sure. I love Durty Nellie's great food nice waitresses and liked The Captain's Boil on Spring Garden Rd.

TRUTH
Like you left out the best parts. I appreciate you did it ...but you get down by the water front..and your scared of people..come on man
Bad narrator, all talks about is the dark, doesn't explain anything around him!!
i hadn't known, until now, that there exist people that have escalator fetishes.
Just an average village it looks
In my country we have villages better than Halifax boy
Just calm down
Who are you arguing with you tit.
Looks so boring !

Will you be seeing “Billy Elliot” at the Neptune Theatre?
I’ll be there April 27- May 2… Where are you staying?
@@solweiser I should be there from the 17th
Hi Chinazo, are you in Halifax now as you planned? What are your first impressions about the city?
@@TheKenevision since I planned my activities, I’m loving it
Thanks I enjoyed your walk through Halifax.
My Dusty it's changed.
Did any of you guys ever see Bruce McCullough's Gavin character, with the baseball hat and thick glasses.
There's this kid in my class? Who lives without any parents or guardians. And she took the numbers off the front of her house? So the cops couldn't find her.
My brother, friends, my cousin and I used to dominate the downtown area at night. Got locked up a few times. lol Some good times. Been over thirty years since I have gone downtown to party and mingle with everyone. The Misty Moon was the place to be.
What inspires you to make this?
Nothing. Just interested in being out at night, plus work that day kicked my butt like anything because customers were always cranky towards me sometimes
@@onyourmarkgetsetgo2 what kind of job do you do?
21:35 13.5 + 9.5 = 23. the missing hour you say? that's the hour you watched this video.
You spend way too much time talking about how dark it is.
Nice streets!
The Rogers Square is my favourite place to be
Halifax, is so beautyfull
what a nice place to be ..
👍👍
