Morse really annoys me. I'd hate to work with him. He is so unfair, arrogant and all the rest...to most people, accept when a woman appears on the scene. Then the tone in his voice changes completely to gentle and attentive. Arraghh 😬
@Noblerot1830 Thanks, I know that, of course. The fact that the Morse character annoys me so much is a testimony to Colin Dexter, his creator, and of course, the person who adapted this into a play. Drama, theatre, film, opera, literature, all need a variety of personalities or else they would be boring.
I thought Morse sounded like John Thaw with a cold.
Thank you, enjoyed this
Good story but so much heavy breathking, gasping for breath and sighing. Very strange too to hear Morse without a slight northern accent.
This is a morse
The Silent World of Nicholas Quinn. By Colin Dexter, starring Inspector Morse
"No shxt Sherlock!" 😂
I was waiting for Mrs M to come into it.....

Not all characters are created to be liked. He was written as a complex and flawed man.
