Akdeniz'in üçüncü büyük ülkesi olan Kıbrıs'ın kuzeyinde yer alan Girne
şehrinin yüzölçümü 50 kilometre karedir. Girne'nin güneyinde bulunan
Girne Sıradağları batıda Kayalar köyü yakınlarında kıyıdan başlayarak,
doğuda Yedikonuk köyüne kadar uzanır. Kayalar dağı, Lapta dağı, Beşparmak
dağları ve Kantara dağlarından oluşmaktadır. Aynı zamanda batıdan doğuya
sahil ile adanın iç taraflarını birbirine bağlayan üç önemli geçit ise
sırası ile Geçitköy Boğazı, Girne Boğazı ve Mersinlik -- Tatlısu Boğazlarıdır.
En yüksek nokta 1023 metrede Servili Tepe'dir. Bu dağların arasında yer-yer
oluşan düzlükler Karpaz Yarımadasına kadar görülmektedir. Girnesıradağlarının
kuzey etekleri Halep çamlarıyla doludur. Verimli bir toprak şeridi olan
Girne'de narenciye, zeytin ve harup yetişir. Sahil şeridi firuze suları ile
denizin tadını çıkarmak isteyenler için inanılmaz güzelliktedir.

2. Turkey invaded Cyprus, officially to protect the interests of the Turkish minority there.
3. The Island split between North and South.
Obviously, both sides are at fault, and both are to blame for the current situation. There's no point in arguing who's worse, or who started it. The only thing that matters is that Anastasiades and Akinci -- who are both good men -- are closer than ever to reuniting the island, and ending this conflict once and for all. No point in fighting now, 50 years after the partition.

if turkey wanted just to stop the fighting then they wouldnt have set the turkcypriots to fight us at the first time. they started fighting us because they understand that they are just a minority and they wanted to take over our land not to live with us. imagine if there was a kurdistan and invade turkey to save the kurds now
