Hi Fredi, your comparisons are very helpfull! Did you get the chance to compare the BG-75 to the BG80 (Double Four Plus). I'd like to know what your thoughts are? Thank you so much!
Hi Sascha, thank you for your kind words - didn’t have the chance to test a BG80 yet, there still hard to find or not available at the moment in Europe. The biggest difference to my older model are new speakers and a bit more power. And the possibility to plug in a power bank (I can do this too because I have the old model with external DC-Set). The biggest difference are definitely the speakers - I‘ll try to test one when they are available.
Thanx alot, good comparison :) The Cub wins here, fuller tone, more prominent low mids. I like the front port, don't have to fill the room with bass and bother the neighbor unneccesary :) But, 4 kg weight of the Bg75 is attempting. Btw is this the new version with Ac socket, or the 19V one?
Nice Demo. I am not sure which one to get = both sound great. I have a Fender Rumble 100 (which I love) but I want a small super-portable Bass Amp? Great job with this.
If it gets a bit louder, the BG-120 is the better choice. And this combo is front ported, that means it is less dependent on the room. The BG-75 has a passive radiator in the back (that’s his little secret…), and it works really fine, but you need a wall behind you. But if you play in an acoustic folk group (like me), the BG-75 does an excellent job too.
@@alvinliaomusic It‘s hard to tell - never used it together with a loud band. But you can add an external 8-ohm-cab and boost the power of the amp to 240 watts. That‘s enough for shure. And I heard from double bass players that they are very happy with this amp because the 5 band EQ is very flexible.
I tried these amps in guitar center I am not impress at all. If your band playing same style as the music in this demo, then maybe it is okay. If you played in a cover band such as pop, rock , county music, this is not the suitable amp. If you wish to have an expensive practice amp, then go for it.

@@FretlessBassplayer Do you think the 120 is loud enough to play with a full jazz band with a drum set and horns (both double bass and electric bass)?

@@evenseb7574It‘s the older version, use it sometimes with an external laptop battery when there is no electricity available.
