    Bonding is worth it if the discount is more than half of the 5 day roi. The catch is you have to claim it often and immediately stake it. That way you can get about half the ROI that you would have recieved if you just bought it, plus the initial discount.

      @@sanithtait40 no claim and stake as often as you can so you can get the most roi%. Since a bond gives you a discount and is slowly released to you over 5 days you can get around half the staking amount you would if you bought directly and staked all immediately. An example is if the bond gives a 5% discount and 5 day roi for staking is 6%. It would be worth bonding because you would get the 5% discount plus half of the staking amount of 3% bring your ROI for the 5 days to 8%.

    • @Shaadea
      @Shaadea 3 года назад +2

      No, only it your initial invest is high enough that the rebase % offset the fees. You pay 1.2$ fee each staking so you will loose money if you start with less than $2000 - $3000 depending in minting % and staking APR.
      Stick to staking til you have 0.3 TIME (in case of Wonderland) than start minting

    even with 100$ you must take care of the fees, claim+restake is ~0.8$, if you bonding+staking ROI is 10% and you restake daily you will pay 4$ of fees so your income is 6$ => 6% after fees so your ROI is less than staking for 5 days

    How does this all workout though when it then comes to real taxes? At least in the US it seems like we need to wrap our MEMO/OHM to be able to not have to pay taxes at every rebase. And pay taxes each time we unwrap those tokens. Same would be true for each time you are getting minted MEMO or OHM back, no? It would be interesting if these calculators figured in the actual taxes paid based off the different methods... What am I missing here? Unless folks just are thinking the staking of coins isn't going to be taxed as earned income, which it is slotted to be, or perhaps think the IRS can't catch-up....

      OHM is around for over 8 month now. They once had 170k% APY. They had to go down to sustain the system, and the same will happen to TIME. I expect a halving of the APY before February, if the protocol keeps being as popular as it is right now.

      their own OHM tokens are locked for the next 4-5 years so they couldnt sell them if they wanted to. With the OHM the owners currently own, they are due to make around 50 billion at the end of that period given that APY continues to fall. Currently theyre probably making tens if not hundreds of thousands per day with the project. id argue that 50 billion at the end of 4 years is better than less than 2 billion if they rugged. And for your other question, what does any developer get from creating a crypto?

      @@youngflipzz3536 I think the fact their tokens are locked is the most important thing here as I don't think the "50 billion is better than 2 billion" argument is valid as the difference between those 2 numbers in terms of quality of life is negligible. I know I would certainly be happy to be a billionaire NOW rather than have to wait 4-5 years for essentially the same level of lifestyle/wealth. To think that 2 billion isn't enough and that you'd rather wait it out for 50 billion is failing to understand how much money 2 billion is. Plus you could die in the years that you are waiting for your 50 billion. Locked founder tokens is only way prove a rug pull isn't going to happen

    But the really important question is - over a particular period of time - are you accumulating a larger percentage of the Time treasury than is being minted ? I know the answer. Do you ?

      @Michael, You make it seem unreal to make up to that as a passive income annually,when it’s clearly possible. I have made over 1Hunnid thousand dollars from January till now with no joke game plan. She’s a masterpiece and her name is Christiana.😁

    Its totally wrong, Bonding for short period, Stake for long, If you Bond You should claim reward after every rebase, not just once per day! Unless you loose rebase reward two times (or more under 5 days). You should totally understand the system before make misleading content before you made your calculation. Just claim every rebase reward and stake it, it will change the numbers drastically. Bondig = more profit less sleep.

      on behalf of all of us trying to understand this.... THANK YOU! I'm currently staking OHM, KLIMA and TIME and I keep a very careful eye on the 5day progress on all parameters possible and 3 -4 weeks in, i'm not too impressed with the numbers. Generally I'm loosing. I stake only and didn't know about Bonding. Would you care to do a bit more detailed description of your method so I can maybe turn the numbers around? We're all confused af. Thanks in advance.

      Very short answer: bonding/minting is not always better, especially on OHM (unless you have substantial amount)

      just because it keeps coming up, it's "lose and losing" not "loose". loose is the girl you'd meet at a bowling alley back in the 70s who was smoking a cig lol. now they call them standard tiktok/insta girls who brag about how many men they've slept with :D
