I've got my Cardano staked in Exodus and I'm earning 5%. I can't wait for the government to step in and tax me on all my staking rewards. It's amazing how I assume ALL the risk with investing, but when I'm successful the government needs their cut.
Man you are lucky, here in my country government takes 15-30% of your earnings depending on how much money you make, also buying crypto coin and foreign currency has 67% tax. Talk about government wanting a cut.

ADA seems almost guaranteed to at least hit $10 in the next year. That alone is enough to 3x any investment in it today. This isn’t even including the long term holders over the next 5-10 years. It will likely be over $25 in 5 years and I’m guessing $50-100 in the next 10 years. Obviously everyone should do their own DD but Cardano is very powerful and Charles Hoskinson is very connected to the community and regularly updates his RUclips channel. Brilliant guy.
Dude, if it was worth even $50 the market cap would be about 1.6 trillion meaning it would be almost as big as google. Now I hold cardano but for it to get that big in that short amount of time I wish to be that optimistic but let’s think realistically too.

Hey Max, Nice video. Personally, I prefer staking to lending as among other reasons, staking may help increase the price of ADA - 1. You always have your ADA with you while staking, which means high liquidity. 2. Any money you add or remove from your wallet will automatically adjust your staking amount 3. Leaving huge sums of money in a central exchange can be risky 4. One of the goals of ADA is true decentralization unlike bitcoin and staking helps with that 5. More than 70% ADA has been staked already and the more you stake the more scarce it becomes thus driving the price up. I wish you had staked with my pool, "EEL". :P Thanks for the video. Let's say I download Deadalus and transfer all of my ADA. What happens If my laptop crashes? Do I lose all of my ADA or can it still be accessed if I download Deadalus on an other computer and put in the seed phrase?

This is good for someone who has a lot of money.. Because you will get 5,5% per year so you should stake 20,000 dollars in order to get around 91 dollars per month. Of course you can earn a bit more or less depending on the price.. But just as I said if you have 100 dollars to invest then dont waste your time.

Binance is paying me 8.6% for staking my ADA. Locked though, for 60 days. You can unlock it any time, however then you'd lose your rewards. But I think it's pretty good

i see these same comments and honestly, our USD isn't backed by anything anymore and the way our current administration is printing out all this free paper to the tune of trillions of dollars, i dont mine taking a little of bit of that unbacked USD and putting into something like ADA that is still new enough that someone who doesnt have a lot of money can get into from the ground floor and try to get a nest egg going. crypto is volatile i get it but its been on such a up trend in recent years and if you can get in early and it blows up big, then you can sell later on and if not, well for the long haul might be something to keep you steady if and when the stuff hits the fan. we will see, worth the small investment imho.

My cryoti is backed by my ledgdr/trezor & I own the seedwords. If I have mondt in the bank, the government could seize it. That's not possible with crypto, long as you control the seedwords

use ledger connected to your etrnl wallet. totally crazy what you can do with it. you can do multiple staking, you can do liquidity pool, you can lend your ada at fluid tokens etc.

That means that if I stake 230 ADAs (500$) I would get 11.5 ADAs a year (5% of 230 = 11.5) which means, today, 24.91$ a year? So if I'd like to make like 2K$ a month, I'd have to stake around 400k$? That's a ton of money
Right lol your return is very low depending on how much you invest. That being said, the numbers aren’t crazy at all. Good assessment by the way 👍🏼 It’d be a good idea to stake a coin long term if you’re confident in its ecosystem.
Yes. If you want to earn any decent amount of money per year you have to invest at least 30,000 dollars .. Of course "decent amount of money" depends on country where you live because average salary in US is 3,000 dollars and for instance in Serbia is around 300 dollars.
Staking through YOROI is the simplest. Create your wallet and be sure to delegate to a small stake pool for the best rewards. Stay away from centralized exchange stake pools like Binance.

In the US you are taxed at the “capital gains” rate of 20% when you cash out your crypto to USD. You don’t get taxed on crypto you hold or earn from staking

While there are no official laws on staking yet, there are older laws on mining, and it is viewed as income, and you are taxed at the time of receipt of any crypto earned through mining, and it is assumed by tax lawyers, staking as well. You owe income tax on it at the time of receipt, and should you wait to cash that out, you will pay capital gains on top of that for any accrued value. It shouldn't be that way, but that is how it is. The U.S. government for sure cares about income made on crypto.
I am a little confused still, since even wallets are new for me. Does this mean, that my ADA in on my computer in a hardware wallet if i use deadalus? Because i have only a really old computer and i dont trust it that much... Glad for any clarification!
@@leedsynwa5062 I'm currently getting 4.91% through Exodus with a couple of clicks. At 7:24 he shows the rate on the ADV pool and it was an expected return on 4.4% but if you're lucky you'll get 5.08%. Exodus seems much easier. I haven't looked at different pools though

I get the idea behind it but it really seems like fools gold to me. I liken it to the equivalent of tying your money up in a savings account vs an index fund. If you have half a brain you can buy ADA low and sell high (basic investing principles) and make several hundred or thousand extra ADA per go round when the markets are jumping. I know I’ve been doing it the last couple weeks. I’m not trying to brag, but it just seems too “safe” to me when the name of the crypto game is to win big. Isn’t that why we are all in it? You are literally making someone else money by lending or staking your ADA, I don’t care what anyone tells ya.’ But , yah it may be a good bet for those new to crypto or who really want a small portion of their total portfolio in crypto. OR….IF there is a significant downturn in crypto I could see staking for a short term. I am curious what others think.

Don’t lend your ADAs. It’s like you’re giving chances to short sellers. Staking would be better for the ADA community than lending. Less risky too.

Im new but i think you recover it with your seed phrase so keep it safe. I dont think you lose your ada.
Definitely can recover your Daedalus wallet with the seed phrase on any device
Solid content. I would add that if your Ada is held on the Voyager exchange you earn 4.5% APY and skip all the steps.
I hear you, but keep in mind the exchange holds your private keys. If the exchange goes down you can potentially lose your Crypto unfortunately

Get paid in ADA and it adds to your original bag. You don't have to do anything.

The rates are better a lot of times but if binance rates are comparable I’d keep the funds there

i see these same comments and honestly, our USD isn't backed by anything anymore and the way our current administration is printing out all this free paper to the tune of trillions of dollars, i dont mine taking a little of bit of that unbacked USD and putting into something like ADA that is still new enough that someone who doesnt have a lot of money can get into from the ground floor and try to get a nest egg going. crypto is volatile i get it but its been on such a up trend in recent years and if you can get in early and it blows up big, then you can sell later on and if not, well for the long haul might be something to keep you steady if and when the stuff hits the fan. we will see, worth the small investment imho.

That means that if I stake 230 ADAs (500$) I would get 11.5 ADAs a year (5% of 230 = 11.5) which means, today, 24.91$ a year? So if I'd like to make like 2K$ a month, I'd have to stake around 400k$? That's a ton of money
Right lol your return is very low depending on how much you invest. That being said, the numbers aren’t crazy at all. Good assessment by the way 👍🏼 It’d be a good idea to stake a coin long term if you’re confident in its ecosystem.
Yes. If you want to earn any decent amount of money per year you have to invest at least 30,000 dollars .. Of course "decent amount of money" depends on country where you live because average salary in US is 3,000 dollars and for instance in Serbia is around 300 dollars.

You only pay the fee once when staking your wallet. You are free to move ada in and out while the wallet is staked.

Staking through YOROI is the simplest. Create your wallet and be sure to delegate to a small stake pool for the best rewards. Stay away from centralized exchange stake pools like Binance.

I stake my ada in the daedalus or yoroi, so I don't have to rely on an exchange to hold my crypto. I am also staked in FYTO pool which is also returning above average.

In the US you are taxed at the
“capital gains” rate of 20% when you cash out your crypto to USD. You don’t get taxed on crypto you hold or earn from staking

While there are no official laws on staking yet, there are older laws on mining, and it is viewed as income, and you are taxed at the time of receipt of any crypto earned through mining, and it is assumed by tax lawyers, staking as well. You owe income tax on it at the time of receipt, and should you wait to cash that out, you will pay capital gains on top of that for any accrued value. It shouldn't be that way, but that is how it is. The U.S. government for sure cares about income made on crypto.

If Celsius has the same market cap and future but not all 4%'s are the same. Some coins have a better future.

I'm a bit confused. I staked my ADA on the Exodus wallet and it was much easier than all of this. Not sure what the difference is.

@@leedsynwa5062 I'm currently getting 4.91% through Exodus with a couple of clicks. At 7:24 he shows the rate on the ADV pool and it was an expected return on 4.4% but if you're lucky you'll get 5.08%. Exodus seems much easier. I haven't looked at different pools though

And i should add that i don't believe you get your return in $ but instaed in ADA so it depends on its actual price

I get the idea behind it but it really seems like fools gold to me. I liken it to the equivalent of tying your money up in a savings account vs an index fund. If you have half a brain you can buy ADA low and sell high (basic investing principles) and make several hundred or thousand extra ADA per go round when the markets are jumping. I know I’ve been doing it the last couple weeks. I’m not trying to brag, but it just seems too “safe” to me when the name of the crypto game is to win big. Isn’t that why we are all in it? You are literally making someone else money by lending or staking your ADA, I don’t care what anyone tells ya.’ But , yah it may be a good bet for those new to crypto or who really want a small portion of their total portfolio in crypto. OR….IF there is a significant downturn in crypto I could see staking for a short term. I am curious what others think.

Is this the same at Kraken there i have an menu with Earn and there i can Stake ADA at 4-6% and it is super easy to do just select how much of your ADA and then confirm wait a few mins and you are done super easy same for ETH at 5-7% and even KAVA at 20%.
