Well done David! I think you could do a whole series of daytime videos exploring the sois of Jomtien like this all the way down to Na Jomtien. They don't get much coverage from other vloggers. You on your bike offer a slower pace for viewers to see more clearly businesses/bars/hotels etc. they might be interested in. 👍👍
Hi David, I hope You, Nong Noy, Friday and mum are well. Great video! Jomtien looks great! I will check it out on my next visit. I think I could live there. It's between North Pattaya, Pratumnak and Jomtien for me. Really enjoyed the video. Thank you. Cheers! Ozzy
Part 2 only if wee Friday gets to go! You know you get more perks if he’s with you! Love your videos David, Thank you for using your time to bring these!❤ cheers mate
David, what a fantastic tour of Jomtien! Despite visiting for many years, you always uncover hidden gems of information I wasn't aware of. Thank you for sharing your insights! Sending Polar Bear cheers from Alaska!
Great video l really love staying at the View Talay condos David ,l just love coming to Jomtien and thanks for the tip about beach road as lm going to visit this year, if its rainy season it would be a mess. Thanks David for another great video, regards to your beautiful wife ,
Looking forward to a part 2 if you decide to make it David. 6 years ago and my first visit to Thailand, I'd booked a 6 week stay in soi pothole and as a senior citizen it was a regretful mistake. Sure I enjoyed my self but it was a bit too full on for me with the noise and constantly being propositioned - every day like a Saturday but without a Sunday to recover lol. Returning to Thailand 2 years later, I stayed in Hua Hin, a place where if you want a bit of 'Pattaya fun' it's there in certain areas but by and large a more laid back and peaceful place. The only thing I missed there that I enjoyed in Pattaya, was the glorious sunsets from a Beach Rd. bar. Jomtien seems to be half way between Pattaya and Hua Hin in what it's got to offer so I'm seriously considering it for my next trip to Thailand. Keep up the good work as I enjoy your vlogs down memory lanes and avenues unexplored.
Appreciate this video David and your local knowledge. I was thinking about renting in Copa for a long term stay, but I hadn’t thought of the lift situation in such a large and busy condo complex. Some of those side soi’s looked good decent with a relaxed local atmosphere
just going through the condo block shortlisting process now David, thanks for the assist with some locations and nearby services. Really helpful. Cheers
Great video David, the restaurant that is on the corner of Soi and beach road is very, very good, also you passed by Wombat Bar and Grill excellent food and atmosphere in the evenings.
Nice one David We are staying at the view Talay 7 next to Hemmingways at the end of April for a month till we find somewhere.Looking forward to part 2 cheers
Fantastic video - it's been really good to see another side of Pattaya (e.g. Pratumnak, Cosy Beach) .. On an unrelated note - lovely to meet Nong Nuy and yourself in Big C the other day ❤❤ George
I visited Jomtien a couple of times on my recent visit to Pattaya and enjoyed its rather laid back style compared to Pattaya. A big plus is that are way less hawkers bothering you when you’re sitting outside a bar, the only downside is that there are way too many Russians who I find to be rude and arrogant. Good video David.
Tried the Crispy Pork at the Soi 4 restaurant when I was there over New Years, and made sure to make a couple more visits there before the trip was over -- very good!! Thanks for pointing it out, and my vote is for part 2!
Great video. I lived in Kao Telow (dark side)...But i always prefered Jomtien over pattaya.....We had a US Coast Guard Loran station In Sattahip back in the early 70's...I mostly worked in Lampang... I am now retired in Bangkok....I like your daily bike tours...
Love the Jomtien series. I'm thinking about Laguna 2 but also 1 and the Maldives. Anything to be concerned about with those properties? Seems like the Rompho market with all that's down those soi's that this is a really great place to live as a local. No?
Great look around Jomtien. I went to L’Aroma when it first opened. Was ok, a little overpriced for what I had but it was early days and does seem to have come on a bit. Popped in Lips lounge a couple of times, no girls or customers. Dead as. Wont be going back.
Very informative video thanks for sharing David ? I am disabled at 23.05 into video on the left hand side there was what looked like a mobility scooter can I rent one of these please from anywhere do you no ? And can I ride this anywhere around Pattaya or Jomtien?part 2 Jomtien would love please have a great weekend sir
Hi, I get asked so many times about this, but unfortunately I don't know anywhere that rents them. Most guys buy then sell after they have finished with them. Can ride anywhere but do not expect ramps at corners nor smooth pavements/sidewalk 🙏🙏
@@DavidAndNong I believe there's a place along Soi 15 (the one going to Rage Academy Gym, just behind where you started this vlog), next to (or part of) the Baan Suay hotel that rents them and scooters. Not 100% certain but if you're in that area you could ask.
Apart from going somewhere specific I would normally stick to 5, 7 Soi Whitehouse and Welcome, and the one next to night market. The others are safe enough during the day, just be cautious down 1,2 & 3 towards the back when dark 🙏🙏
I was wondering if there are places in Jomtien or Pattaya where you can rent an E Bike...I do not have an international driver's license myself, so an E-bike would be a good means of transport for me
Yes, Emily Restaurant on 7 has very erratic service and although the food is decent, it's not special. The Laundry next to it is one of the best and cheapest I've found in TH. I really like Jomtien and Pratamnak but the number of Russians there is quite disturbing. It's nice to be somewhere that's international but there's so many that it's more like little Moscow. However the comparatively slower pace and peace of Pratamnak and Jomtien (to Pattaya) make me lean towards one of those two for any longterm stay.
Good ride along beach road. Thank you. Question: Beach Road was made 'One Way' to accommodate construction. They are supposed to be digging up the sidewalk street area to do some infrastructure work. Did you see any of that work being done?? In your video there was zero evidence of any construction work happening. Good advice on the Copa... wouldn't stand for a 20 minute elevator wait... Nice views are for those who are at the mercy of elevators... give me a second floor condo any day of the week.... !!
@Davidsplace19 or everybody gets paid less. Thailand's prices are real world expensive. Why the fuck do I not have real world stop walks? If ppl do not know what stop walks are, then everyone can get paid less.
Immigration should put forms outside on rack and there on process as soon as applicable but no....again appreciate yr knowledge of thrapaya and trepisit and jomtien mine and others fitness zone
Until Dec '22 I'd not bothered with Jomtien since about April '12. Once I returned I was totally flabbergasted at the development over the previous 10+ years. The beech road once ground to a halt after maybe a mile or so. It now goes on far longer than I was prepared to walk😆 and if you decided to turn right as you came to the beach, then you walked along a narrow dusty track until you reached another stretch of sand, which I think was exclusive to the hotel behind it? Well that dusty track is now a paved area hundreds of meters in length, which eventually turns right to get you heading back towards Pratanak Rd area. My mind was was totally blown away by the development.

Thanks, David. Yes please, a second part would be appreciated.
Really enjoyed the ride and tour. Saw a lot of things I hadn’t seen before. I vote for part 2!! Thanks David.
Ok cheers Walter, will fit one in next week 🙏🙏

All good here Ozzy, thanks. Yes definitely that's some of the better choices 🙏🙏
Good choices. Pratumnak for me but the others have a lot to offer too.
Terrific vlog and I vote for part 2 lol
Cheers Brett, will try next week 🙏🙏

You got bigger balls than me mate CYCLING around Pratanmak and all of Jomtien/ pattaya... fair play to you mate.
It's probably not as bad as it looks 🤣🤣
Thank you for good survey, and give us more like this 😊

Great location Errol, enjoy 🙏🙏
So many traffic and you drive with a bicycle, crazy! Thank for showing. Best wishes Siri and Uwe from Germany
You got that right about Emily's.
Yes for sure, we walked out one time after an hour's wait. However generally they are pretty quick 🙏🙏

@DavidAndNong Yes I did thankyou - by finding an image of pineapple biscuits in Thai and taking it to 711! Voila
Great video David always enjoy your rides.
Thanks Rodney 🙏🙏

@@DavidAndNong Very true, and when they say "Crispy Pork sold out" it's a bit of a bummer, but their other food is very good and good value too

Thank you David , part two would be nice if you are able ! Enjoy ...
For sure Karl, will try to do next week 🙏🙏
David,,great,,video,,well,,done, bro,,!!! 😊
Another good video part one very good I am retiring and moving to Pattaya next year looking for a condo apartment in jontiem beach 😂
Great Video David ❤❤

From what I’ve heard there are many short term rentals there which can be a problem
Good video enjoyed the tour
Good video of Jomtien

La Roma is good but expensive. We stayed at the Acqua. Wouldn't go back there tho. Plenty of other nicer condos
Never tried the L'aroma, nor seen any reviews on it. Acqua is starting to show it's age for sure. 🙏🙏
Hello David , is pratamnak by the busstation ??
It is directly behind the condo at the beginning, with the airport bus station about 300m further down Thappraya road 🙏🙏
@@DavidAndNong oke thanks
love to come down they to live but I can't sell my house in North east Thailand
Maybe somebody here wants to swap?
Do or make a vid further down from where you left off . There may not be much there .....but it would be good to see .

Jomtein needs to put a stop sign in so they can cross the road. A fancy deal with solar powered flashing lights!
Lol, even a traffic light doesn't make traffic stop for pedestrians 🤣🤣
@Davidsplace19 with this fancy contraption everybody will know to stop
@Davidsplace19 or everybody gets paid less. Thailand's prices are real world expensive. Why the fuck do I not have real world stop walks? If ppl do not know what stop walks are, then everyone can get paid less.
@Davidsplace19 that's why I do not pay here
good video
Nice video. Still baffles me though why some people ride motorbikes without wearing a helmet.
I'm sure it's just a heat thing 🙏🙏
👍👍👍👍👍👍
Lol Edwin, you got a mention in Pratumnak part 2 🤣🤣
All the major super markets deliver to Jomtien.
4:55 he ate something n threw the garbage on road.
I wonder where he from....😮
