To hell with the haters, this synth is shweet! This is one of those very accessible instruments that can have anyone sketching a track within minutes. The people who slam the UNO are likely masochistic, they discredit anything "easy". I'd love to be able to buy 30 of these and donate them to my old middle school. Synthesizing sound has been democratized thanks to things like UNO in the past few years. And that's a good thing.
This is a sweet little synth for those with bad backs...very small, adds a bassline to my other sequencer. The only thing that would make it better would be transposition of the sequences.
Just bought one for 129.00 uk, , very cheap plastic with breakable knobs , paid 140.00 for my behringer crave that is built like a tank , that said I use the UNO with a novation remote 25 so so I never have to touch the UNO , it sounds great and it’s nice to have patch and sequence storage, bit of bullshit on the battery usage , you get about 45 mins to an hour on four rechargeable battery’s , I get 3 hours from the same on my novation circuit , it’s a nice sounding mono synth but I wish it was better built , it looks like a zx81 but it’s not even as well built . I love it’s sound but it’s build quality make it a no from me , I need things to last and this thing is cheap and nasty compared to korg volca stuff or behringer , another 50.00 uk and you could buy a monologue
Just purchased the UNO almost two weeks ago. My first synth. It's a great little machine. Small and compact and once I patched it into my cell and ran Caustic app I can take music production on the road.
Nice video, thank you for doing this. I've been wondering about the pre-sets. IK Multimedia did a good job with these, they are very familiar, as in nothing original about them, we've heard these sounds and tones before. However, they are nicely done and not over the top like many synth makers are wont to do with their pre-sets. One question, was the delay and reverb on some of the patches something you added or are those effects built into the UNO? I'm guessing they are built in?
Ok it sounds OK, but how much space is there to create own sounds? Can you go far away from initial sounds, or is it the Presets and some tweaking and that's it?
Yes you can , it’s mono so detune the oscillators against each other to create a 2 note chord have a low attack and long release and sustain , for a string sound , mess with the decay and release also the filter . Mono synths are more than capable of producing big pad sounds . They are not just for bass sounds , don’t forget you also have a very nice LFO to add random elements to your nice pad swell
@@maccagrabme Yes, definitely. They also have that 1/8" cable noise suppressor (it's like 1/8 female, each end) which works as well. I sold mine because I wanted more polyphony instead of a monophonic synth, but it sounded pretty legit!

Oh, and lovely video btw! Useful for those deciding whether to buy or pass on

MARC VAIN Did you ever get the synth? What do you think..?

this synth kills the monologue !
Unbelievable synth, presets, storable patches and good midi implementation. IK Multimedia out-Volcaed Korg and Roland still doesn't get it.
i think the se02 is brilliant but this sounds just as good for half the price and i don't have to deal with those tiny little knoblets
My volca rocks but those damn tiny knobs 😑

just got one as well, really excited to see what it can do. My first synth as well xD
@@ayushshukla731 outstanding. Keep in touch. Love to hear your jams.
Way to work those tiny keys. Thanks for the demo.

Hi, no effects were added, everything you hear is straight from the synth. Haven’t even used compression or EQ.
#53 would make a sweet Thriller re-mix
I just got 1 for cheap, what a steal
Some very nice sounds...the legato mode in some of the patches is cool.
Does each patch have an associated sequence with it?
Yes
Hey Matt, thanks for the demo! How is the arp tempo controlled? Is there a tap tempo?
Ok it sounds OK, but how much space is there to create own sounds?
Can you go far away from initial sounds, or is it the Presets and some tweaking and that's it?
There are no blank presets. You can edit any of the 100 existing presets into your own custom sound.
sweet! thanks!
Can't go wrong for the money! Thanks for the video.
Who wanna share some patches for the UNO synth?
Can I get some ambient pads or strings on this?
Nope, it's monophonic

@@joefalchetto94 Just because it's monophonic doesn't mean you can't get ambient or string sounds.
@@rexterrocks Yes, I was wrong
@@joefalchetto94 good of you to post a correction. Most folks would never do that. ✌️
This is about my musical mentality. Anyone know how to get this into Protools and on what sort of track?
Which way would you like to get it in there?

Great sounds but a LOT of usb interference/noise....
Yeah, I didn’t end up keeping it
@@MattKeilMusic Seems like very few people hang onto it. Thanks!
Cant you eliminate the noise by using midi cables and a dedicated power supply or is it still noisey? What made you sell yours?

Too bad it's only 1/8" out.Real poor SNR. Should be RCA's at the least/ 1/4" preferred. Ground noise on USB power.
