A great way to fill one of the most important missing piece of Kyoukai no Kanata, the char development. (No offense, i really love the whole thing, yet it's a weak point at some extend due to the format of the anime). That episode was a very important part imo on the narrative, and a great part of the "rollercoaster" of emotions, letting us down our guard too. :)
