Another great song by Billy. I'll admit that I like his more straight acoustic stuff. Although he can play a wide variety of different kinds of bluegrass. A great vocalist, guitar picker, and not a bad song writer. I recently was able to see Molly Tuttle live, and now I hope to see Billy Strings sometime in the future. He is almost a good a picker as Dock Watson was.
He is a MUST see live. My mind was absolutely blown. And be ready, it’s not just a Bluegrass show. He dabbled in psychedelic rock, classic rock and some bluesy stuff too. But seeing him live is jaw dropping. The entire band is incredibly talented. But Billy is certainly in a league of his own in my opinion.
If I ever saw Billy live, it would be cool if he could play my martin d18. Then I'd really be able to hear what my guitar could do. I'm totally blind and I think over the past few years, I've gotten pretty good at listening to different acoustic guitars whenever they are played. It is interesting to hear how some musicians play more brighter guitars which might be Taylors, while others play kind of warmer, fuller sounding guitars with more low end. Those could be either Martins or Gibsons. I always enjoy getting to hear very well played acoustic music. When I play, I don't use a pick, just usually my wright thumb and index finger. I could just never get the hang of using a pick.
I have never heard of this guy until about 10 minutes ago and I am currently seeking out anything he's done. He's an amazing picker and the song itself and his voice are all pretty good.
