Why do schools have cops, but not all schools have counselors, child psychologists, and teachers with Masters degrees in Child Development. We have to start prioritizing mental health and less suspensions and juvenile detention centers.
That’s my cousin !!!❤️❤️❤️
Often you will run into parents who get angry and indignant if you suggest that there is something wrong with their child, because they don’t see it, and they are actually part of the problem…
I am a parent who has had other people, usually other mothers, comment on my child and how they believe I should be parenting her differently because a) they are ignorant about what is going on with my child outside of the snapshot they see, b) they assume my child is neurotypical, and c) they believe they are smarter than I am. You know what I say to them? "Thank you for caring enough about my child to say something to me." Because I mean it. I don't appreciate the assumptions that people make or the tone they sometimes use, but they notice my child and speak up for her well-being, which is what we hope for our children, right? For even strangers to watch out for their best interests.
@@wendypagonis1398 thank you for adding another nuance to the equation, most things are never black-and-white.
The services and the support or essential. School based programs can be helpful. But the jargon makes it completely unrelated bowl and nearly inaccessible.
What might help kids' mental health is if they weren't so fat, and they worked hard. Schools are producing poorly educated Americans, and now want to advise on "mental health"?
I think you missed the great advice that was given in this conversation. Did you really watch the video or are you trying to make sense of your mental state. Are you a one or a ten today?
Keep your options to yourself!! The job of raising children belongs to the parents!! Your job is to teach reading, writing and math!!
These are school counselors, not teachers. Their job is children’s mental health. No child can learn if they are in a toxic environment at home.
Are you a real human? What’s your feelings for this video on a scale of 1-10? 😂
@@fishercourt IT MUST BE TRUE GOOGLE.
Are teach reading, writing and math in the room with you right now?
@@truettadevil I teach my grandchildren to listen to the subjects at hand.. I also teach them not to listen to someone's opinions... When it comes to the children in my family the only people who teach them about life are mother and father and family.. parents need to be in charge... Not some liberal fool teacher that wants to run Thier own agenda... Teachers need to keep their own opinion to themselves...
