Hi, The fluid in suction and discharge piping is considered to be stationary, in order to move it or overcome inertia acceleration head is needed and it occurs.
Along with acceleration heads during the delivery stroke initially at G fluid has zero velocity( hence no losses) and at mid stroke pt Q velo. is max( max losses) and again at H velo is zero( zero losses). Now to overcome these losses pressure has to increase till midstroke where it is maximum further it decreases. Thus, the GQH curve is above GH line.
No one can explain this in such a great way. Thanks a lot
Shalom God bless you Abba,fluid machine DD
..thank you so much...best as usual...
Is acceleration head the same as pressure head on a piston?
@40:19
Why is that the acceleration head at angle 0 is down "I.e. -ve" although the magnitude of cos0 =+1 ...
and also for other edges ?!
Thank for this Sir. It is really helpful.

please sir, I can't understand the acceleration head and why it occurs or has to be created so please can you give a brief clearing of that...thanks

Sir,
I cant understand why GQH line is above GH line. Kindly help
