The old material from our faithful church fathers is my cup of tea. It's really interesting to hear how they had they same issues. And sad how much worse it is today
The content, dialogue and narrative from our past Theologians is a treasure chest. Their Godly insight sheds light on the narrow path. This topic chosen for Truth at all cost is very timely. This matter was brought up on the District level this past winter during a listening event. Due to our median age in some of our Churches, it is driving our young adults to seek husbands and wives outside of the faith. There was great debate during the listening event and an outcry for the denomination and district to cultivate ideas to promote greater networking circuit and district wide. Silence has been the response after they said that this is a congregational matter. As an Elder I find this to be another threat to our homes and churches. Yet I will be sharing this installment of "Truth at all Costs" with our previous confirmation classes and young adults in my congregation. Give glory to the Lord who spurred this discussion item.
Our pastor is retiring in a couple of years, he's already announced this. He's a good pastor, but I do hope that we get someone like you in when he steps down.
Thank you Pastor! I really appreciate the advice. I'm currently looking for a spouse. I feel it is very difficult in this age and sometimes lose hope. I know the Lord Jesus Christ has a plan though.
I love when you reference old writings of faithful preachers who gone before us. I think it just illuminates for me the timelessness of God's word. Thank you Pastor Bramwell.
You’re very welcome. Knowing what the cloud of witnesses have said is very helpful in helping us understand our position in our day, whether or not we’re walking in accord with the apostolic teachings. Thanks for commenting.
Truth is timeless. For all the change through time, God’s truth for fallen man is unchanging and still rings with clarity. Wonderful find in that article! Thanks for sharing.
As I kneel as a poor miserable sinner, tonight in prayers and tomorrow in Divine Service, will have much on my mind. Many are many times confessed, but this adds weight to "in ALL the ways I have ever offended you."
Thank you for sharing this! I listened to it 4 times. Much needed wisdom as a young man looking for a wife. Extremely slim pickings though in my area. I am constantly driven back to the comfort in Gods word.
But how amazing to be part of bringing someone else to the faith! Especially your spouse!! I know how hard it is, but what a wonderful gift to be able to stay in the faith and bring someone else with you!
Yes, that is a blessing to experience, when it happens. But it is foolish to marry someone who is not a Christian with the hopes of converting him/her, for all the reasons explained in the video.
Thanks!
No, THANK YOU! Wow.

Thanks for the comment. I really like learning from the cloud of witnesses, too!
Historic teachings, definitely my cup of tea! Well done, Rev. Bramwell.
My kind of gal! To God be the glory.

Amen! May the Lord who called this topic to mind, bless its distribution, that His Word would reach the hearts of His people. Christ be with, brother!

You're too kind. May you're next pastor be a faithful servant of the Lord.

You’re not the only one who feels that it’s difficult. Maybe there is another reason for you to visit Ferndale. 🤔
@@TyrelBramwell I'm seriously considering visiting next summer.

You’re most welcome. Truth is indeed timeless!
I love getting to hear this old material, these historical teachings. I would love booklets, too! Wonderful stuff!
I'm glad. I do, too!

And you will hear the familiar and needed words of forgiveness. The Gospel is for the broken and contrite heart. Christ be with you!
Happened just as you said, @@TyrelBramwell!

You’re welcome. What area are you in?
@@TyrelBramwell Funny enough I am from Indiana also. I am a member at Grace Lutheran in Muncie Indiana. North east of Indianapolis.
