    What an achievement for Ronan. There's a humbleness and decency about him that's great to see. Never a man to go with the flow or join the mob. Has a mind of his own. A rare thing in Ireland these days.

    Fair play from a Leinster fan. A well deserved win for La Rochelle, better than us defensively and offensively. At around the 75th min me and my dad joked about letting La Rochelle in, just so Leinster would have time to restart and maybe get one back. Might’ve been the right option looking back.

    Fair play ROG and LR...
    But Leinster were really poor.
    Just sickening to come away from that after not given their line a rip.
    Leinster really looked flat. But the quality of the second row is a real problem and so is the backup at ten.
    Too much kicking too...
    Jeez Wayne Barnes is a shocking ref. Can't believe the TMO wasn't brought it for LR's first try regarding a forward pass.
    But congrats to LR they deserved it on the day. They went and won it. Bravo...

      Indeed the engine room has been Ireland’s weak spot since POC and DOC moved on and since Leinster did not replace Thorn and Hines. Today’s locks are good players with ball in hand but simply not big or strong enough. We have seen these many times over the last few years; until recently v England, v La Rochelle twice and before that v Saracens.

    • @paulbrown7374
      @paulbrown7374 2 года назад

      @@patrickmccutcheon9361 100% agree. Sometimes we have to believe our eyes and disregard the 90% of the Irish press. I was extremely worried about this albeit regarding the heat, scrum and ref. I wasn't expecting us to stay in the dressing room...

    A real gentleman and fare play. From a Leinster fan. Munster fans are a bit of a let down doe. This is not a win for irish rugby lads and that's shat should matter to all irish rugby fans.

    • @christopherlynch9006
      @christopherlynch9006 2 года назад

      It's very much a win for the rest of Ireland outside of Leinster. I'm old enough to remember the last time we had a 'Leinster are Ireland' mentality - only back then (1970s and 1980s) it was a Leinster /Ulster domination - with the very occasional player being picked from Cork and Limerick generally ignored. The AIL revealed that for the insular nonsense that was. This might put a break on the same thing happening again.

Every event good or bad can be drawn upon to give a frank ,honest answer not some varnished over vomit to please the mob and keep his face unblemished in the political correct world we live in. Anyone who played sport knows experience of failure is the great
    encyclopedia to be tapped into for future events on the hallowed ground.

    But Ireland is a big winner too, with O'Gara and Donnacha Ryan the successful coaching team.
