      Consider that perhaps the political decision makers, Putin included are useful as being instrumental in the Russian military doing so badly.
      As for this guy reiterating Putin's threats to use nuclear weapons. He should think through the consequences of such an action.

      The people of Ukraine remember what it's like being ruled from the Kremlin. That's why they're fighting - because they'd rather die than let that happen again.
      If you understood the history of what they went through - the genocides, the forced deportations, the starvation in the midst of plenty, and the forced colonisation with ethnic Russians after so many Ukrainian citizens had been murdered - you'd probably understand why they are fighting.
      You also might understand why the Baltic states that were treated the same way are some of their most eager supporters. The Baltic people remember being ruled from the Kremlin too. They will fight to the death to make sure that never happens to their countries again too.

      Its really a sign of desperation from the British Elite.
      It is imperative they maintain the fictions:
      that Ukraine is winning a just war;
      that didnt start because of Ukraine aggression against its ethnic Russian citizens;
      and that this war of attrition is being completely controlled by Russia, without Russia resorting to Total War (Shock n Awe US-Style);
      Britain desperately wants to be the US wing-man. They talk tough, but the reality is Britain could not enter and occupy IRELAND for even 3 months with its current numbers of troops and its current weapons inventory...
      The Sun set long ago on Britains days of glory, and for that reason, institutions like the Times put interviewers like this, supposedly asking tough questions, but are really just hoping the Ox-Bridge tones and condescending language will fool people.

The reality is that if Putin is allowed to win this war with Ukraine, then he will be emboldened to repeat the process with another country, maybe Poland or one of the other nearby countries. And if that succeeds, then where? Eventually Austria? Germany? France? The UK? If he's daft enough to start lobbing nuclear weapons over the fence, then Russia will end up being annihilated and he knows that. As long as the war was out of sight from the general population, most just shrugged their shoulders and thought "nothing to do with me". But now that Ukraine is finding ways to move the action onto Russian soil, people are suddenly realising that they might be blown up too and naturally, they're starting to get frightened. So suddenly reality is dawning on the Russian population. Their young men are returning in body bags or not returning at all, the economy is declining, they can't get hold of their favourite western products and now there's a possibility of a load of TNT falling out of the sky on top of them. And what have they got in return? Nothing. Yeah, I doubt whether Putin is too popular at the moment. He's in a dilemma. He can't back down because the whole of Russia would blame him for a pointless war, but neither can he win outright. The only way this war is going to be stopped is if he is removed from power by the oligarchs in Moscow and for that to happen, they need to feel more than just pressure from western sanctions. Thousands of different NGOs that work hard in the name of the interests of England or your masters in the USA. Your country sponsors various oppositionists. Including sponsorship through NGOs and various foundations. You support anyone, even a damn bald one, even a bloodthirsty dictator, as long as he is against those who are inconvenient for your country. You have not even read the main strategic interests of your country from open military sources. You probably haven’t heard anything about such goals of British intelligence as the Greater Caucasus project under the protectorate of England (we already call it small/dwarfyBritain, as opposed to Great Britain, which does not exist and will never exist again) Circassia project. Or the British projects regarding their favorite tame hyena - Poland (it was not I who called it that, but your Churchill). It's just that now your tame hyena is feeding from the hands of its new owner - Uncle Sam. This is a project for the union of the Baltic republics of Poland, Belarus and Ukraine. Of course, under the protectorate of the main international criminal - the United States and its tame clowns from NATO. You understand that England, far from the Black Sea, indicates its sphere of interest and desire for presence in the Black Sea and the Caucasus. Imagine if China wrote in some official document that until the year 40, their sphere of interest was Scotland and its separation from England. Isn't this an act of war?

      Ph.D Paul Christie is the Executive Director of the Institute for Global Perspectives, A senior official of the US National Security Agency (NSA) said:
      "America needs an order in Ukraine that would interrupt the economic cooperation of Russia and Europe with each other. And the American policy is to develop events in this way. Now events in Ukraine are only unfolding, and there is no point in waiting for pacification - a troubled Ukraine should become an insurmountable barrier between Russia and Europe.
      Understand one thing. In order to break the economic ties between Europe and Russia, Europeans need to be so intimidated by the Russian threat that they themselves want to do this - it is necessary to radically change European public opinion about cooperation with Russia. It is necessary to emphasize in every possible way the aggressiveness and unpredictability of Russia, provoking it to escalate the conflict in Ukraine. The media should constantly talk about the growth of tension in Ukraine, about the violence and cruelties perpetrated by the Russians, so that Europe is ripe for a break.
      Whether the united Ukraine will remain on the world map or disintegrate is absolutely irrelevant for solving the main problem. The main task of the events in Ukraine is to dissolve Europe with Russia so that the Europeans completely refuse to cooperate with Russia and redirect their economies to full cooperation with the United States. The main goal - to tie Europe's economy more tightly to the US economy, and what happens in Ukraine in this case does not interest anyone.
      Ukraine is given the role of the rubble, which will interrupt European cooperation with Russia. And what kind of structure there will be, the form of government - these are absolutely not interesting questions.
