Making money from scrapping is about how much time do you have to micro scrap the cars and how much you value your time. The wiring in the cars can be worth the time, aluminum, cats will probably need paperwork. Shopping around by phone for the best paying yard helps, it also wouldn't hurt to ask if they will take cars with auction paperwork, if the paperwork has the vin and your name on it they may take them.
I actually did ask about them taking auction paperwork and it was a big” no!” You have to process the paperwork into your name and then scrap it. Doesn’t make a lot of sense, but that’s the way things are nowadays.
You can take those batteries to oreilys or advance auto for $10 a piece. They don’t give cash tho so it’s only good for parts or something in the store. It’s gift cards..
you got .05 or $100 a ton on your first load. did you take the metal parts off the brass radiators first to get the best price? yes, quite often i can run my tribute suv in and come out with more money hauling precious metals versus my truck with the scrap metal trailer. i took in just over $500 worth of brass and #2 copper last week in the suv. I have been paying my house mortgage the last 2 years from scrap, mainly the precious stuff but i am running low on that so i am almost done fixing the truck and i will be doing the salvage loads right after the first of the year again. Don't want to register my truck for 2 months(didn't license it for 2024) only to have to register it again for 2025 so i am going thru the truck pretty good right now. Yes same here we have to pay $146 so i tend to cut my part cars up too but i cheat, i use a plasma cutter, pretty fast with that. I am definitely a sorter to get the better price out of things. We have a small scale at the one yard here like that. my buddy likes going there even though he pays a little less he will sell stuff out of his yard just over his scrap price so my buddy goes there weekly and tends to come home with quite a few cycles, mopeds stuff like that. i go to the 2 bigger yards with the big scales a little farther away but they pay better but once the item is in there it is strictly going for scrap then.
If you don’t mind me asking did you just buy a plot if land you use on the side to keep your car garage and scrap vehicles? If you pay that Jeep off this will be impressive.
My father used to have a '68 Chevy Impala. It was yellow with a black vinyl top. 2 door. I was 8 years old back then. Your truck looks way too good to be hauling scrap.
Believe me I looked. I have been searching for about a year, but I’ve never been able to find something this new with good Miles and in this good condition. Plus, that’s a lot of money to gamble with at the auction.
This is gonna be good. Really wish I had the property space. I have no room to store metal to make it worth driving to the scrap yard.

Yes, cleaned up all the radiators to maximize the amount of money I got from them.
It can be a hard job, but you can make some money at it if you try
Street rad garage, you should of had some help and to cut the Chrysler better you should have used a blowtorch!

Yes, I bought the land just for playing with my junk!
Keep watching and let’s see what happens.

I would like the roadkill fiero (Guy Fiery) is it available still and if so, what would it take?
Yes, it is still available and will actually go back on Facebook marketplace for $3000
You never said how much you received for the batteries!
Oops, It was $99.68
How many pounds and how much per pound?
You're going to pay all that back to the state if you get caught without your seatbelt.
That’s only $25.00
@@streetratgarage$300 fine plus points on your license where I live
With all the vehicles you get from auctions, why would you buy and finance a vehicle from a dealership?
Believe me I looked. I have been searching for about a year, but I’ve never been able to find something this new with good Miles and in this good condition. Plus, that’s a lot of money to gamble with at the auction.
You never reported back on the batteries so your math didn't make any sense.
Yes, I forgot about that part. It was $99 and some change.
