@@lifeandnumbers Hi! I'm so glad I stumbled across your video and it was the first one that truly explained how I can pay my $8,000 car loan off in less than the year or few months for that matter. My monthly payments are $262. So going by your video if I pay my $262 monthly car payment, then after that payment I'd make an additional one days or so later so it will go towards the principle. Correct? I think I got it right. Thanks so much for your video and helping me figure out how to pay off this car loan so I can work on getting a house. I'm definitely SUBSCRIBING to your channel. Seriously inspiring and I plan to make payments towards the principal now after seeing this video!! THANK YOU!!!!!
Who’s subscriber. Figured it was time to share my thoughts 3/4 of the way through. Girl you don’t have to prove yourself on anything. You did two things: you grind and put sweat equity behind your work ethics and that is what paid off your vehicle. You put your foot to the concrete and you went out and conquered it. That is a huge accomplishment! Love your video, liked your video, I didn’t know you could get a refund on gap insurance or warranty’s; so that is very promising as we get closer and closer to paying off our vehicles. Would love to gain your subscriber ship on my channel but will definitely be looking forward to watching more of your videos in the future.
Wow, I didn’t realize interest went down like that when you make principle payments. That means every single month you’re paying the loan down faster even with the regular monthly payments. I have to do this! Great video

I bet you got a better interest rate going with a loan from your bank instead of the dealership! And that's a great plan, life without a car payment is fantastic lol. you got this!! 💪
Just paid off my car loan. I dropped 13k on it when I first got it brand new and financed the rest, which was 14k. I saved up for a year and paid it off on the 19th of October this year. I bought the Chevrolet trax on October 5th, 2020. I hate being in debt, so I paid off the car as soon as possible! I'm going to take great care of my car, so I can make it last for atleast 15 yrs. I am gonna pay off my car on my next pay and reason why mine took 2 years instead of 1 cause of COVID-19. Thanks to covid it made stop traveling which helped me save money, spend less time shopping, going to restaurants , and I cut out abit of my hobbies for stuff I don’t need and during this time it made me realized how much I would spend in a year which is insane. My car loan is my last loan paying off so any extra money I get now is going right to my savings for a rainy day till I can travel again and use the money for that.

This is so inspiring, I just got a used car with a 13k loan, it’s a nice car and had amazing miles for the year but I definitely don’t want to pay on it for anymore than 16ish months. Thank you for your tips!
The gap coverage information really helped. To be honest, I didnt even know I had it. I bought this car three years ago and it's been a thorn in my side (finacially) ever since
Glad it was helpful! They throw a lot of information at you when you’re buying a car so it’s not surprising you didn’t remember. It’s good you know now though!
I only got gap insurance because it paid for my oil changes which are $55. And my 19 inch tires cost about $400 bucks so in the event of a tire blowout or a nail in the tire, I can get it replaced without paying out of pocket. But I plan on trading in my car before the gap insurance runs out.
I love the fact that you got a car that is reliable and economical with a reasonable price. It's obvious that many Americans buy too much car to flex on people but at the end of the day the joke is one them. Most of these cars will eventually get repo'ed and will destroy you credit. I got a car loan in May 2018 for a 0 miles honda fit sport 21k. December 2020 im at 7500 and should be done paying by mid February.
You’re amazing! Thank you so much for making this video and explaining it clearly because I’m in the process of paying off my vehicle right now and this was so helpful!
When you said you were angry at yourself for getting the car, that the decision was rushed.. I felt that. I’m trying to pay off this 24k loan in the next year. 1500$ a month towards the principal is the goal.
Thank you so much for your accuracy, and very informative video... cause I just purchased a honda civic 2018 with this video I now know i can pay off my loan way faster then the actual loan pay off Thank you!!
Yes you for sure inspired me...me and my husband both have car loans and our goal is to pay off the rest of his this coming year because he only has a little over $10,000 left. But I’m determined and thanks to your tips I’m sure we’ll be there by this time next year 💪🏽💪🏽💃🏽💃🏽Thank you!!!
the only big draw back from paying off a car early is if you total the car then your going to lose a lot of money i had a friend that had a 2011 toyota tacoma he put 15 k down on the truck and payed it off. and three weeks later he totaled it and the insurance company only gave him 15 thousand dollars
That's true, the insurance company is only going to give you the amount the car is valued if you total it. Let's send good vibes into the universe I don't turn out like your friend lol. Thanks for watching!
I’m doing it right now. It’s easy. Set a target date that you want to have the car paid off by do a rough estimate of the APR then divided by however many months that you want to have the car paid off. That’s the amount you pay every month until it’s paid off. Make the minimum payment and add the extra payment directly to the principal.
Thank you so much for showing me what determination and discipline can do. I’m in this exact situation but I have a child but a car note that I DID NOT WANT(the car)…. But seeing this makes me realize I need a side hustle but I will sending any extra money towards principal. This was a beautiful example
I really like this video and on my situation I got a new trunk and I have a second sport car I love it and It hurts me when i sold it but i did sold it and took all the $6k straight to the principal and I still miss my car but I save so much money by doing this and I refinance my truck 6 months later after my credit score when up and save $7k on top of that I’m trying my best. Thanks for the video I love it
I’m manifesting to get a car I’m doing my research. Hopefully I pay it in at least less than 1 year and 5 months I’m trying to now find the value of cars

Better if you would have had the new balance visible after each payment. And explain how you got the bank to apply the extra payments 100% to principle. Not all banks do that. I've been paying larger payments on my car in order to pay off by next year but just learned about Principal, today. Thanks a lot.
Good for you. I've done similar a few times. Including a few mortgages. It all comes to self discipline, money management and stop buying wants vs what you really need.
I think this pandemic has taught people the importance of multiple streams of income, unfortunately having a job doesn't mean financial security. I really appreciate the transparency and giving people a fighting chance during this troubling times.
Haha no it hasn't. Otherwise they continued need for unemployment check wouldn't still be so prevalent
Out of all the videos I watch, this is the only one that explains Principal Payments! Love it, thanks!!
Glad I could help! Thanks for watching! 😊

I just sat through 3 videos before I came across yours which was the only one that finally clicked for me. Thank you Jesus! 🙌🏽
@@mastinanagel380 no, when u pay your monthly payment just play the amount u have to play monthly plus additional money on top of that but make sure u click princical tho and not monthly payment or else it’ll go towards the next month n ull still pay high interest
I felt that when she said “I was truly pissed” 😂😂😂
I just bought a new car and I love it so much and my why is going to be pay it all the way off in 3 years (instead of 6) so it will be 100% mine and I can be proud to drive it. Great video!! Thanks for your tips!

Thank you for watching!!
This video has seriously just inspired me and helped. I bought a car in 2018 that I resent due to the negative emotions behind the purchase/reason and I found out today I have $18,000 left on the loan and when I called to find out my payoff the lady told me about principal interest. Seriously inspiring and I plan to make payments towards the principal now after seeing this video!! THANK YOU!!!!!
Oh wow that sounds a lot like me! You can do this!!! 😊
We need more people like you in the world to help people kill debt 🙏🏼
Wow, I didn’t realize interest went down like that when you make principle payments. That means every single month you’re paying the loan down faster even with the regular monthly payments. I have to do this! Great video

I feel you, when I cut out the $100 trips to target oh man I suddenly had so much money 😂
Target is a dangerous place lol thanks for watching!
Sometimes $600 trips during tax and stimulus time.
I chose to subscribe because I can relate to your monthly income and expenses even to the car payment I I have of $430 and change.since I have listened to the video I increased my bi weekly payment towards my car of $215 to $300 and will add my part time job money to the principal. Thanks for the making it possible plan. I just have to do the skills of focus.
I love how you put it all out there & how you broke it down. My car payment is $412 doing Uber as a side hustling job. Making $6-700/weekly putting against principle.
Wow! 😮 600-700 a week is amazing!! Keep it up!!
They really have soccer moms out here being cab drivers and running their cars into the ground.
This is just giving me the impression I need to keep going. I bought my car in April of this year for 25k. I will have it paid off in full by January 23, 2025. It feels so good to be so close to having this car loan paid off.
Thank you so much for making this video. Clear and simple. Literally what the dealerships never tell you. Great job on this video! 🙌👌👍
Thanks for watching! 😊
I’m so motivated now ! Mine is $30k but hope I can do it in 24 months .
You can do it!!! 😊💪🏼
Off topic but your couch is too cute!! And congrats. Paid my car off in 2018! 3 years early and no going back!
Ayyye that's great! #teamnocarpayment 😂
And thanks about the couch! 😊
GAP Insurance is the biggest rip off. I've never had it and never will. Glad you were able to cancel it and congrats on paying off your car early! Continue that on your student loans and you are on your way to building wealth!
Yeah I definitely regretted getting it. Never again! It was a waste of money smh. And yes my plan is to attack my student loans the same way. Thank you for watching!!
Love seeing what the payments looked like for you! Can’t wait to pay off my car in the next couple of months!! 👏🏻🎉😍
Thank you for watching! That's exciting that you're so close, a great way to end 2020!!

Yeah, I second on seeing your "payment history". It really does help your viewers put things into prospective. Especially, for me to actually see how the interest amount drops every so often.
Congratulations on being so determined. Your obviously taking the time to educate yourself on multiple subjects, which makes it easy to make the right choices.
Helped me out alot. The dealership didnt even explain tht to me. My payments are 440. I said id pay 600. He said thatll help pay it off faster. Did not tell me to tell the finance company to put the other amount to principal
Lessssgggggooooo IM IN THIS MISSION NOW STARTING TOMORROW 👏👏👏
i watched this when i purchased my last car but didn’t apply it because i was trying to save not realizing i could be saving more if i pay it off faster so i’m definitely buckling down this time to pay it off asap. having a car payment is trash lol
yes life without a car payment is amazing 😩you'll get there!💪 good luck!
They gave me 72 months.... And with my math and all I should pay it off in 2 years!!
This is so impressive! Wow! Congrats to you on your super hard work. Once I pay off my other debt I hope to also pay off my car early!!
This was some super great advice! I’m 23 and I’m hoping to pay off my car within 2 years. I’m definitely going to use these tips. Thanks!
did you end up paying it off in 2 years?
Good job babe, most can't drop add as many large principlable payments thou but every bit counts. Proud if u thou
I just got myself a new car 24K. I got a loan from my own bank I’m trying to have it paid off or close to it, in 3 years before I get out of the Army in 2024 that way it’s one less thing to worry about! I appreciate the break down on how you did it!
I bet you got a better interest rate going with a loan from your bank instead of the dealership! And that's a great plan, life without a car payment is fantastic lol. you got this!! 💪
@@lifeandnumbers I did! it’s a used 2019 Camry XSE I qualified for a new vehicle loan cause it was under 36K miles so I got a great interest rate!
Now I can invest whatever I save from here on out!
Awesome job!! 👏👏
Omg I can totally relate! I felt like it was a rushed decision when I bought my car at the dealership. I had a headache coming home. I felt my hair turning gray over the years because of the decision I made lol. But congratulations on paying off your car early. I’m trying to do this myself.
Congratulations. I’m working on my car. I stupidly bought an extended warranty on it. Calling Monday to see if I can cancel. It’s a Camry I bought with 32000 miles. Currently has 36000. After that it’s the student loans. Can’t wait to be debt free.
Thank you so much for this video. I'm on the car loan journey and my first payment is in March. You've helped me develop a strategy to pay off this loan within 18 months. Bless you!
That is awesome!! I’m proud of you for already coming up with a plan!! 😊
I paid off 38k auto loan! thanks for helping me Andrew, he cleared my debts without any upfront payment within 3-4 working days . Excellent presentation of determined person paying off a debt and saving money in interest cost. This is a wonderful example to follow. Peace.
this was absolutely amazing and you did such a great great job at knocking that loan out. Its so dope that you are a natural saver. Financial literacy and budgeting turned me into a saver. money used to burn holes in my pocket. This will be my mindset going into my first car loan soon. go head queen!
Thank you so much!! Budgeting and financial literacy are key! That way you'll be more than prepared to handle your first car loan! 😊
Thanks for this vid. I'll be paying my new car off early also. You broke it down very well.
Thank you so much for the information and knowledge! Thank you for reminding me of principle payments lol sometimes hearing things from someone other than your parents helps.
Most importantly I want to thank you for emphasizing you did this ALONE AT 25. I’m currently 25, & working on my finances and debt. I have NO support system. You helped motivate me and didn’t even realize it.

Finally an average joe cc debt story. When I'm finished paying off my cc debt I can tell my story of how I paid it off,2 credit cards total bill around 16000.The journey is rough but I ain't gonna give up.Thanks for sharing yours with me,its very inspiring👍

Thanks for showing the actual numbers and where it has principal and interest separated. Principal payments low key confused me but now I understand
A lot of people don’t understand how principal payments work so I’m glad it helped! #eachoneteachone thanks for watching! 😊
This is so inspiring, I just got a used car with a 13k loan, it’s a nice car and had amazing miles for the year but I definitely don’t want to pay on it for anymore than 16ish months. Thank you for your tips!
I hope the tips help, you got this!! ☺️
I love how u explained Principle payments thank u🔥👌🏽👌🏽
No problem!!
I paid off my car loan last month and with that payment gone… it frees up some money and that’s always a superb thing. Awesome.
That is awesome!
Great job paying it down so fast!! And that's a good investment with it at 0 miles, it'll last for years!
Yessssss so here for this 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 getting a new car this week & I'm so motivated to pay it off as quickly as possible 🤞🏾

I am literally in the same exact number boat that you were in, so inspirational thank you for the motivation
Thank you for watching, I hope the tips help!! 😊
Bravo!! Bravo!! you have inspired me. You have created a small part of financial freedom for yourself. Great video! keep em' coming!

Thank you so much for your accuracy, and very informative video... cause I just purchased a honda civic 2018 with this video I now know i can pay off my loan way faster then the actual loan pay off
Thank you!!
Glad it helped!! 😊
Great video! I just purchased a new vehicle, and I'm following your plan to pay it off early. It'll be paid off by August 2021. Thank you!
That's great!! Finish strong! 💪
Thank you for watching! Come up with a plan, stick to it, and you guys can do it!! ☺️💪🏼
kcsymone' thank you 😊
Paid my car off 1 year early, a personal loan 2 1/2 yrs early and a credit card since jan 1. All total $15,978.
great job!! 👏🏼👏🏼😤
the only big draw back from paying off a car early is if you total the car then your going to lose a lot of money i had a friend that had a 2011 toyota tacoma he put 15 k down on the truck and payed it off. and three weeks later he totaled it and the insurance company only gave him 15 thousand dollars
That's true, the insurance company is only going to give you the amount the car is valued if you total it. Let's send good vibes into the universe I don't turn out like your friend lol. Thanks for watching!
Also remember a car depreciates in value when you take it off the lot. I would rather pay it off early than drag it out for the life of the loan
Good point!!
Very helpful! This is definitely my plan now plus paying off other debts.
Glad it was helpful! 😀
Thanks for the video I love it
I know it must have been a hard decision but financially you did the right thing. Great job! 😊
I’m manifesting to get a car I’m doing my research. Hopefully I pay it in at least less than 1 year and 5 months I’m trying to now find the value of cars
Good luck!!

Better if you would have had the new balance visible after each payment. And explain how you got the bank to apply the extra payments 100% to principle. Not all banks do that. I believe you must specifiy, apply to principal only. Excellent, impressive debt elimination. Also dont recal if u mentioned the APR?
I have been trying to figure out how to pay off my principal payment but I didn’t understand it until now
