- Ever seen Phil Ivey completely lose it? Neither have we. But in this video, we'll show you the closest thing to it. Witness Ivey's 'explosive' outburst, which for any other player would be a mild Tuesday afternoon. For everyone who know that Ivey's version of rage is a slightly raised eyebrow, this one's for you. Prepare to be... mildly amused.
Ivey is a god of poker, never loses his cool ever. This video of him “losing his cool” just shows that he never loses his cool.
Exactly. Being able to count an all-time great's "failures" on one hand says everything.
Just a heads up, the reason why you have so many dislikes is because of your presentation style. People hate videos where all you do is talk over everything and only show the original clip for less than a second. People want to see the original clip in full and maybe hear your thoughts for a brief moment after/before the clip not literally through the entire thing.
100%
I think a casual viewer, just coming off videos of airplane passengers screaming at each other, might be expecting to see someone actually losing their cool, not knowing who Phil Ivey is. That might also get a dislike, no fault of the creator. (Your presentation style is just fine, btw)
@@flyfishizationjones4940 not the point, youtube 10 years ago was amazing. Top 10 videos with pure clips and no damn commentary of the clip we’re watching.
@@simonsanchez6809 I’m saying that maybe people dislike it for other reasons and there’s not much wrong with how he’s doing it. That’s my opinion. Yours is that he talks too much and should just roll a clip. We have different opinions and that’s fine.
I think this Is AI
Is this a joke? Composure on every hand, this is not losing your cool in any way...this is the purest form of clickbait
Hey @jordansmith2647, you caught us! We were going for a lighthearted and humorous take on Phil Ivey's always-composed demeanor. We hope it brought a smile to some, even if it was a bit cheeky. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
I was thinking the same
was just to type this same response. i don't remember the dwan hand but only thing possibly notable (and not really that much if so, probably just a mistake if so) is dwan saying "you got it" when he had the nuts vs ivey's 3rd nuts. dwan not known for doing anything like that and he was on recorded poker for many hours for reference.
the guy with the 3rd nuts calling off his stack and taking 10 seconds to call is just a nit roll by a guy scared to lose his main event, which i'm certainly is quite normal to see.
@@pokerbear7 to be fair, there simply isn't almost any footage of ivey actually "being out of control" as i suspect he's not really done it in person.
3:23 Tom said, "I got it," as in, he's got the nuts or literal nuts. Tom didn't say "You got it." I remember these old Poker After Dark videos, watched them so many times.
That's what upset Phil. He just didn't like how Tom said, "I've got it," which is sort of an unwritten rule back then.
I don't think there's enough money in the world to be worth sitting at a table with Tony G, Mike Matusow, and Phil Hellmuth and not be able to punch any of them.
specially tony g XD i dont see how phil with his temperament is able to play with him, its his kryptonite
The one where Phil thinks Dwan said "you got it," Dwan claimed he said "I got it." If you watch the original show, apparently Phil heard him wrong and Dwan expalained that to him.
yeah but thankfully this video doesnt actually play any of the talking or conversation
Phil is a true Pro.
Dwan either said or meant to say “I got it.” Ivey thought he said “You” got it.
Yea the discussed more and Dwan said he said "I got it" and I believe he also said he wasnt sure if he had the K or Q of clubs but did say that he had it. He mumbled though which made Ivey miss hear him (or maybe Dwan miss-spoke).
Duffy definitely didn’t backpedal, pff. He stood his ground and clapped back at Ivey “why shouldn’t I be?”
Then he gave the beat argument against phil, KK was the nuts
A tale of two Phils, if Helmuth had been beaten by the 5,4 off, it would have been one of the biggest blow ups ever. Ivey is just like, 'that's fair'.
he went postal that last clip! lol GOAT!
Phil Ivey Losses his cool?? That you thought was the appropriate title, not click bait? He sure lost when he says one sentence and makes an unhappy 🙁💸Whoa Phil, calm down! Ivey went crazy!
To be honest what I just watched wasn't anything about Phil ivy losing his cool or anything... It looked to be merely him checking his opponent or slick comments or being disrespectful 🤔
Ivy and Dwan are the two most terrifying ppl to play against.
Duffy didn’t scramble to find words he stood up because he thought Ivey might have kings which would’ve been the better boat.
Phil is a total pro. He plays at a high standard.. that nobody is capable of also attaining.
Look at Phil’s biceps, I think he works out when not playing poker: not a man to annoy.
He should have force fed Hellmuth his poker chips
Poker after dark was almost always a shit talking poker program. I think they set it up that way.
Dwan said “I got it “. Before he saw Phil’s cards.. Not you got it. And he had done this a couple times before. Dwan did o t have the nuts “Ace”. Phil told him to quit saying I got it!
Uh the K is the nuts there bud.
I feel like I got clickbaited. Came here to watch Ivy lose his cool and ended up watching a 7 minute video about Ivy being cool XD
" thats fair"...what?!..that's him telling Antonio great hand...not getting pissed..he knew he was chasing a made hand...
Phil ivey needs to learn trash talking by tony g 😂😂
Imagine losing his cool being whispering “that’s fair”
The flop on the first one is like something out of a movie.
I want to stand up bc my legs are cramping up.
Thanks. ✌🏻👊🏼
His never ending luck! 🍀
Call this channel “yapper poker” 😂
Hellmuth gets under everyones skin.
I completely get Ivey's personal space thing and his perimeters of trash talk. You'd think the others who know and respect him would also get it. But then again, Hellmuth is a man-child, so ... no.
watching this video, i expected it to have a couple hundred thousand views, not gonna lie. well done
Appreciate you saying that! Your support means a lot. Keep an eye out for upcoming videos! 😎
Title: Phil loses his cool. Proceeds to upload a video not showing him losing his cool.
Wow ill never get this time back
Dwan said I got it and the discussion the next 30 secs is exactly about that. Sensational journalism. 👎
a loooooooooung head
im still waiting on him losing his cool?
He's the tiger woods of poker lol
This is actually why Ivey is the GOAT because he has fully accepted what the poker gods are capable of and almost never goes on tilt or flustered...
I love Durrr but the "You got it" wasn't cool especially when you have the nuts
Well that's 7 minutes of my life I'm not getting back. You're welcome to it, but thats all of my time you're ever getting.
Hellmuth and ivey are close friends behind the poker scene
What a joke of a video! Joe cool Ivey never lost his cool!
Please don't click bait the titles you'll earn yourself a swift dislike
What we all see is because these guys all have money they play hands regardless of position, raises & value....2 raises and a player calls with 45 off suit...come on...
That’s the reason I only play tournaments. Having money to burn does you no good.
"Why you standing up when you got the nuts?" (5:02) Even Phil knows Duffy doesn't have the nuts, but the third nuts. Duffy might've been standing because he thought Phil might've had KK or KJ, thus beating him. The way this video was edited leaves a lot to be desired. "Phil's been representing the flush. Duffy shouldn't be too worried about one combo (King of spades with the last Jack) here." (4:43) Says who? Phil probably would've played the same way with KK or KJ, trapping Duffy, especially after Duffy checks once three flush cards hit the board. I mean, Duffy shouldn't be afraid of monsters, but he is an amateur playing against Phil... forgive his 10 second pause and standing up, it's not like it's a slow roll, just nerves.
Duffy stood up b/c he wanted to celebrate and get on TV. Ivey said something to him before he could pump his fist or do some other nonsense. Duffy realized he was acting in poor taste and made up some nonsense about Ivey possibly having him beat. Ivey was probably annoyed for a couple seconds then went back into Ivey mode.
It was a stress/nervous reaction. His pulse was probably racing.
Now do a "Phil Hellmuth loses his cool" video, please!
netflix is already doing a serie "Hellmuth rage" gonna be 10 seasons
What separates Phil from everyone else......ummm cheating??
1:34 it's about 70% pot
This video is a good example of how framing works. You can see this on mainstream legacy new shows everyday. They use commentary and short clips to exaggerate a particular narrative. Classic propaganda technique. Compared to most poker players, Ivy has a very long history of being one of the more collective/calm but confident professionals. And this video does NOT prove otherwise. But had you not known and watched Phil Ivy play for months/years, and you only watched the first 4-5 minutes of this particular video you might have been tricked into thinking he was a surly, belligerent poker player.
the J-8 full house....bad form
Even if you are afraid of the unlikely event that you got coolered on the river there is no way you are folding so just snap call and pray, but standing up like you expect to lose? That is bad form
I have only played the Main Event once and was staked in and nervous as hell. I had never played higher than a $100 tourney before
2nd day I end up all-in with my AK clubs vs QQ
Flop Q-7-3 rainbow, no club
I did NOT stand up because I think that is simply bad form, in pool we called it "sharking" if you started to unscrew your cue stick before the moneyball went down
It was towards the end of Day 2 and our table had been together a long time and we were a friendly bunch
I was already preparing my "It has been the time of my life, thank you all" speech as the 10 hits the turn.
I stayed seated and silent
I was just getting ready to stand up when the miracle Jack rivered and I immediately told QQ "Of course I am happy to have won, but I honestly feel bad doing it like that!"
My opponent replied "All good, bro. You have been a gentleman all day so if anybody was gonna cooler me, best that it was you!" (I only took about 40% of his stack so he was not crippled, but it had to hurt!)
I took that to mean that he appreciated me not groaning at the flop (I actually laughed at the flop, the laugh of the dead) and not standing up before the river
PS..I made it to Day 4 and climbed two steps on the ladder before busting out
Very funny
Why not post when mattusow folded outta turn! He was actually mad that hamd
Duffy didn't have the nuts. KK & KJ are better.
It'd be nicer to actually see these clips and watch them play out instead of you just telling us what happens..
How do we know you don’t just make all the stuff up? Who the heck are you anyway? Do any of your videos have any other people speaking other than you?
We are trying to hear Phil not you ramble the whole video
This guy is a cheater, who cares about him? He can join the long list of cheats.
Who tf runs this channel?
CHEATER
and he hits a lot of rivers that others don't hit. luck.
BTW: where did he lose his cool? you lie.
Klick bait BS, Stil interesting poker though.
too fast
you gotta take that background music out. it's terrible and so distracting
Maybe the worst poker video I’ve ever seen jumped back and forth, you literally showed the final call then went back to a check on the flop figure it out just show the full hand and explain over top.
Wow, he really loses his cool here. Nice clickbait bro, way to get a dislike, report, and never sub
Many think Ivey is the best. Far from it. How many hands beat his 222? Bet 160,000. C'mon dude, fold.
🤓🤓
Just show the clips and be quiet
Hit unfollow. Stop click bait.
You just took poker footage and used FAKE narrative. I gave you a big thumbs down. I'll be chasing your videos and giving ALL thumbs down.
My god way to mess up a good clip with that voice over lol clueless.
What is this a joke??? Come on!! Phil Ivy never cut loose acting angry mad or out of sorts at all!!! No way will I subscribe to this crap? Why so I can see more lies?
To much talking 👻
you should just play the vid instead of talking, annoying
You didn’t even get Phil’s comment to Dwan after the hand when the whole point of the video is his reactions, terrible.
He cheats at cards
Phil Ivey is not that great he just has money not that strong player
Why is he standing up? He did NOT have the stone cold nuts as pocket kings would have beat him, and when you're playing Phil Ivey, you just feel like he's just always going to have you beat when he goes down to the end. Ivey did lose his cool there.
