Briggsy mate I'm moving to WA from the UK in January, and 50% of the reason I'm moving to oz is because of you and morningtide. These videos just pull me in and i've been watching for a few years knowing I have to target GTs from the rocks. Why don't you guys use left handed reels. I persume that you're most likely right handed which makes your right arm stronger to lift the fish.
For big game on a boat i can understand the use of right handed reels but not fot this type of fishing.

Hi mate, they're Assassin Gloves we sell em on the Morningtide website, if we don't have your size check out the Fishhead website he's got em as well. They're a nice and light glove real comfortable but not as strong as somthing like the Nomad gloves.

Gear's in the description ^ but it's a RippleFisher GT82 Longcast (best GT rod i've ever used, real hard to get ur hands on one though!).

We're full time on it now (as of a couple months ago) but there's a lot of behind the scenes work on the Morningtide Business stuff so not all fun and games! Still we're getting to go fishing about 7 days of each month now on a big trip so we're stoked as. The $s isn't amazing yet but we can pay the bills and eat from our youtube channels so it's a great feeling either way!

I completely dig (agree with) popping, spinning (stick baiting) and jigging with the rod upright. I have seen many fish lost in the transfer from rod down to rod up. Good on ya Briggsy. It shows a lot of experience and good sense.

I've only ever hooked a GT once... It was on light gear and he snapped me off on the rocks just as I was about to land him. I consider these videos training manuals, I'm studying hard because one of these days I'm gonna find a ledge of my own bring in the GT of a lifetime. And if I die falling off a cliff on some uninhabited island somewhere... I'm putting it in my will that Briggsy made me do it.
