I sat in my car for a good 30 minutes trying to remember how exactly I removed this thing. Then thought to myself there’s no way there’s a straight forward video on exactly how to remove and reinstall these. I wish I could give this video more than one like. Thanks homie 🤙
my mirror is wobbly not at the mount, but rather the ball end part that connects to the mirror itself. any way to fix that to prevent it from moving when the car is being driven?
Could be lock tight or just a bit seized. You could possibly try an impact screwdriver to loosen it? Seems to be one of the better methods to not strip the head
The bracket gets bolted back on at 0:40. It's held onto the step via the middle bolt. Then the whole assembly it attached to the roof via the 3 bolts and lastly the plastic trim cap is placed on. Tempted to do another shoot of this and a few other civic things over the summer break so let me know if you want me to re-do this to make the process clearer
I might do one for the rear seat too this week :P accidentally ripped off half of the cover as I was following a usdm model guide :'( It was just 2 small clips and then 2 bolts in the end, gah
Hey mate, sorry for the late reply. The 3x bolts are standard M5x20mm fine thread countersunk, Honda PN# 93600-05020-0A. Middle one is custom honda part with a lip but would be closest to a M6x10mm countersunk with a coarser thread Honda PN #88148-SE0-003. Both are Phillips head drive.
Yeah, put mine off for months and it pops off with a good yank if yours is the same model as mine. If in doubt find the same model as yours at the wreckers and practice on that first

I can have a look at once at the wreckers and see? Don't want to damage my currently tight mirror :P
Fixed the one on my auto cross car by super gluing it and slapping a JDM Broadway mirror mount on it 😂
Thanks 👍👍👍
My centre screw on the mirror is extremely tight. And i cant get it off to put the metal ring around it. Any tips?

You did not show putting the mirror stem back on the bracket.
