- It's been a while! We've got some exciting content coming up from our recent travels. In the meantime, we've had some awesome inventory in the showroom. Our Gemballa Avalanche restoration is complete! The pearl white interior is flawless and this 1 of 13 Porsche Gemballa is ready for its new home. We've also got a rare, USA-spec, Ferrari 512M, Lamborghini Diablo overload with the 1 of 32 Diablo SVR Lamborghini factory racecar, the Paris Salon Diablo SE30 in verde metallizato, yellow Diablo SV, a very rare 25th Anniversary Countach downdraft with factory race seats and color matched wheel centers, and a few Mercedes AMG examples including the RENNTech-restored SL60 AMG.

I remember seeing a white Avalanche parked in Ft Lauderdale in the late 80's. I'm going to have to dig back through photos now as I know I'd have taken a picture of it. Very cool vehicle.

I remember seeing the Pioneer Gemballa on a promotional tour. The poster hung in my room as a 17 year old along with Ruf Yellowbird and Ferrari 250GTO posters. Great to see one still around. McClaren F1 and Bugatti EB110 held permanent status on my walls, too.

Ah that verde metallizzato on a Diablo is nice. Sorta bumbleeish SVR is also something special and hear all those V12s sing on raceday must have been magical.

I wish they’d make a tribute version of the Diablo like they’ve done with the Countach. I’ve always loved Diablo and a modern version would just be the pinnacle for it.

I agree. I bought a 996 GT3 4 years ago and somebody told me not drive it because of the value it can gain. But the driving experience and the engine noise make me drive it whenever the weather is good in the summer season. It would be a shame to leave it in the garage 🤷♂️

The Gemballa Porsche was an always interesting car here in Europe but somehow not too many people got hooked on their cars. There was a version what was stuffed with all the technological stuffs what nobody could imagine at the time. Rear view cameras on the sides instead of regular mirrors etc. I was surprised on the extremo biturbo popping up in the US because the last i saw that on the market was around 2008-2009 and had a German license plate on it. It was up for sale for a pretty long time but nobody wanted it because here people mostly prefering originality over highly modified cars. There was recently up for sale an ultra rare 993 turbo cabriolet 1of 14 and has never ever been offered to public just only for vip Porsche costumers. The price was € 1.3 million. These cars are somehow goes quickly regardless of the very high price.
id rather have the 959 to be honest with you. i get it the driving the car is funky. i remember when i drove it back in the 90s was awesome.

If a car was the personification of "80's Coke money" it was the Gemballa Avalanche lol
I still have my issue of Road and Tracks "World's Fastest Cars" featuring the Gemballa Avalanche.... I think the issue was from 1988 or so with the Ruf Yellowbird taking the top speed title. The Avalanche is the most stunning car in the magazine though with its totally wild styling an unheard of (at the time) back up camera.
That issue of R&T is gold!

12:03 as I understood it the roll over bar only came up if the car had been turned over? And apparently it was impossible to get it back down again. Probably mistaken but that’s how I always understood it

I don’t know, wasn’t the 512M flat 12 a reliability nightmare? Probably doesn’t matter today since not many miles, if any, would be put on that car. Really nice to look at.

I have recently bought a Diablo book from rather well known authors in Lamborghini community. They published also a book on Countach(which is very good) and definitely your knowledge is much more complete especially on rare examples.They should contact you and they will have much better pictures and some rare data…
What year is the car titled because the 87 911’s had square ac vents those smaller ones ended in 84/85.
I have owned a Gemballa gt750 aero 3 for about nine years now, i have gemballa emails to the original buyer kevin stanford but i haven't got anything on the engine modifications. I know the engine is forged and has massive kkk turbos on it, but i would love to know more, if the displacement was increased, head modifications etc.
Does anyone out there know about these engines?
