Love this topic, I go round and round in my mind. They live in their own reality, doesn't see his choice of behavior and words as bad. He excuses everything, answer for and has reason for anything to not be accountable for. Choice for sure. I have tried so hard to explain how his actions and words hurt and injure, yet he denies it and won't own it, THAT is his choice. He knows better and wouldn't and doesn't accept his behavior in return.
I believe that we fight against principalities and demonic, spirits, and people can open doors to allow the spirits in, and it is the spirits that have the same type of behaviors, which is the common to kill, steal and destroy. Unless they wake up and ask God to heal them, and seek the help and renounce the spirits. This is what they will battle with. Yes, I believe there are severe childhood wounds that cause the behavior. Maybe we need to ask why do they feel a need for power and control? Change must happen at a deep level for sure. The question I struggle with is it possible? They have developed a very sophisticated system to be in denial about their pain. What would motivate them to change?
Describing my mother as much as my exes. My dad is like this but he went to therapy in the last several years after his narcissist second wife died and he's gotten a lot of healing, is more self aware. A little anyway, lol.

Look for this: a pattern of dishonesty, a pattern of manipulation. If you try to communicate and find a way forward and they say "no" then it's hopeless. My abusive partner was my ex-wife in my lesbian relationship. She was abused and neglected as a child, and she couldn't find her way out of the abusive relationship patterns she has been in. She's in her 60s, and she has a professional life adjacent to mental health. She is toxic - from a distance, I am sad for her.
The other day I watched a video about the late actor named Marlon Brando. Perhaps he was narcissistic is putting things mildly. Didn't stop a whole lot of women from feeling in love with him without acting upon it. For example when women in love with him would at the time be helping him tear apart his latest woman he was trying to discard at the time like when trying to take her infant child away from his first wife only because she wanted to divorce him after finding out he had had a homosexual 'affair' on her once in addition to affairs with other women too probable only because the guy had looked feminine enough to Marlon Brando alone at the time. Barbara Streisand on that video who admitted that she only felt in love with him while not acting upon that too. Someone who has a high number of narcissistic traits in their personality sometimes make the best puppets for people in that kind of power dynamic called narcissism who are superior to the narcissist whom a woman is in love with at the time. Near the end of his life he tried to change when it was staring to feel too late to make a change. That is why he became obese after staring in the movie called, "The God Father" which may have been a turning point in his life to some degree. Obesity in itself is not clear evidence that someone experiencing it is committed to being narcissistic.
I believe that they are choices they make, but why then do all covert narcissists make the “same exact choices”? If you’ve met one covert narcissist you’ve met them all. The sameness of their behavior strongly suggests that it’s something in their physiology their DNA that makes them the way they are. People afflicted with the same physical illness generally have the same symptoms. It’s quite a conundrum-is it choice or destiny?

They are all the same because they've all been taught by the ae teacher: Satan. I believe this is very demonic because the fruit of narcissists is the fruit of satan- to steal, kill, and destroy. Plus, they are pathological liars just as satan is the father of lies. I don't care if they go to church or know all the doctrine. If they live this way with no repentance or change, their fruit shows they are not true Christians.
@@MeCynthiaAnn Indeed it is a spiritual thing as you have described. But the biggest religion in the western world, you know the one I’m referring to, doesn’t teach or believe in those demons. That religion IS the embodiment of principalities in high places that you speak of. As long as they continue to represent godliness to the multitude narcissism will continue to receive aid and comfort from that whatever you want to call that foreign white robed theocracy that deceives the world.
@MeCythiaAnn. AMEN! Spot on! Trying to get out of 39 years of abuse; the judicial system seems so irrational as well. No more swearing, “Under God”. Perjury prevails the courts award the abusive person while victims have to prove innocence.

I think part of it is DNA. Personality does get passed on.. But you can chose how you treat ppl
