@@markschattefor6997since Kai was Jukka's tech before, not really - he would do it the way he saw and heard it so many times! :D
To me, Jukka's playing sounds better than Kai's. Somehow a better and sharper rhythm. More emotion...
@@fundiootti Jukka is more dynamic but Kai is more power, at least in the drum sticks.
Lol it's double kick drums. Jukka is a beast. Kai is also just as capable. Such a cool sound.
The young lady shown @ 9:20 is most certainly a huge Nightwish fan. If you watch the whole concert, they show her many many times, and she is almost always singing the along with Floor/Marko. She always looks like she is having the time of her life!

The “scream” at the end is called a glissando, going from low to high and back, for classically trained singers this is an exercise to warm up the vocal cords, so Floor will do this probably every day before breakfast .
And, Jukka's double bass drums are in FIRE !!!!

Loving Nightwish since 1998! Self taught guitarist here... I started learning guitar with Mel Bay books (LOL almost typed Mel Brooks there!) from like the 1950's from my local library, went on to guitar magazines... Then the Guitar Grimoire books! One on the cycle of keys, another on progressions, etc... Very useful guides at all levels!

The "Dikida-Dikida-Dikida" you were asking about early is Jukka double kicking the bass drums. Later you hear a similar beat coming from Emppu palm muting an identical beat on the guitar

I think the drum beats at the end signify the fight among 2 people who are commiting romanticide. First one side is "yelling" then the other, twice.
This is apparent in banshee scream that Floor did, where she went from 0-100, while Marko went 0-60-0, showing how 2 parties are divided.
Just brilliant songwriting.
Yes, Tuomas was just throwing away a towel to wipe the sweat from his hands.

That very fast drumming was coming from Jukka (drummer), look at how fast his legs are moving!
These weren't official lyrics, they were RUclips's subtitles doing the best they can, and a mistake was made
"Ode of lies is killing me" should have been "O.D. of lies is killing me"
Ode = O.D. = overdose. So, the lyrics are "overdose of lies is killing me"

I believe that instead of "Ode" the caption should read "O. D." of Lies, meaning Overdose.
"Ode" is actually a greek poetic term that means "in adoration of / praising / glorifying something.

@@QofyReacts Yup, Greek term is oide and Latin/French gave us "ode". Still, the op is right in that the caption should have been OD as in overdose. "Ode" would have been followed by "to" as you indicated in your examples, not "of". That squares better with OD. Cheers from Amsterdam!
The official lyrics from the band read OD so we might take that as how Tuomas means it 🤷🏻♀️

Greetings from Arkansas USA. Great reaction, Romanticide R O C K S. Nope, that's not a guitar making the sound you mentioned. It's Jukka doing a "double kick on his bass drums. Jukka was a show onto himself. The guy was one of the most aggressive drummer I've ever seen. Only drummer I can think of that was as aggressive was Ginger Baker in Cream. Both Jukka and Baker are on a different level then most.
Jukka is a spectacular drummer. Very expressive, massively creative, a total joy to watch ❤
