For great Marco / Floor harmonies and back & forth singing, I highly recommend "7 Days To The Wolves" or "Shudder Before The Beautiful" (from the Wembley 2015 concert), "Ghost River" (from Wacken 2013), and "Devil And The Deep Dark Ocean" (from Buenos Aires 2018)
Yes, Floor and Marko always sounded great together. Love that 3 octave glissando Floor did in tandem with Marko. The song is from the 2004 album Once, with Tarja. The studio version only had his 2 octave slide. Emppu doesn't shred like that often. He ,and the entire band, play what the song needs. They are not out there to show off. Song #11 of 15 ,GLS was #13. Showtime, Storytime is the name of the DVD for the Wacken 2013 concert. This tour ended a couple shows after this in August 2013. The following summer is when Jukka had to step aside, and Kai came in. More Marko and Floor singing together: try Ghost River at Wacken or Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean at Buenos Aires 2018
The band members themselves called the last part as a metal rap with double bass drumming. Originally they tried to put that last part to other song (Nemo, one of their most famous songs) - they recorded it six times, Tuomas thought about lyrics and they tried many different things, but it just didn't work. After the struggles with Nemo, they put the Romanticide together, which was a little bit combination of the leftovers and that part that didn't work in Nemo found its rightful place in this song.
If you follow Gabriel Bardac's list, you will go through many surprises in the styles, who sings lead, etc. Also if you have not heard Floor with her previous bands, that is also another great discovery.
F*** Gabriel How dreadfully boring that every single reaction channel who explores Nightwish is mandated to the exact same videos in the exact same order. Prohibiting the channel reactors any kind of real feedback and engagement with their commenters as there is an expectation that they must follow Gabe’s list. How boring, Stop simping for some uber fanboy and allow something natural to happen will ya?!
I know Maria floor can blow her out of the water, the talent in this band is remarkable they leave their ego at the door it's all about the music and you don't find that very often, each one equally important God bless
Yep, I always wondered how Jukka can drum during 90 mn like crazy and to not sleeping, or almost not sleep, after that. He must be totally exhausted at the end of a tour.
Great reaction! Glad to see you both get thried by my favorite parts ... Emppu's ecture on propere shred-iquette and the Marko and Floor slide up and down. This is my favorite track from this concert, although I always recommend Ghost Love Score for first time viewers. Thanks for sharing your Nightwish journey with us. Cheers.
🇫🇮❤your reaction & Nightwish. The highest official live note that Floor has so far sung on stage was F6 during this song at Ilosaarirock 2013 here in Finland.
Again and again I enjoy reacters who are completely blown away by Nightwish great cooperation and respect for each other. They never outdo each other, but complement each other in every area. Thank you also for your contribution to the worldwide brand awareness of this group of wonderful people. You've already received several good suggestions, so I won't add another one. At the end of your Nightwish journey, you'll have another encore in the form of 'The Greatest Show on Earth' Tampere 2015 and 'The Poet and the Pendulum' Wembley 2015 that will take you to their highest pinnacle as storytellers, but you have yet to get there have a little patience.
I especially appreciate how Marco slides back down while Floor slides up to that second octave, both in perfect time. That creates a contrary doppler motion that makes Floor’s high note sound even higher. It’s a nice psychoacoustic effect they employ masterfully. Also props to Emppu for that perfect dive-bomb at the end of his solo. Very few guitarists handle the dismount from a solo so gracefully.
Thanks for that reaction. You have some good suggestions on where to look next, and Gabriel's list is excellent. This whole Nightwish team works so well together. No egos here, just great, honest musicianship.
Welcome to the Nightwish army (Dutch division)! Wishing you a great journey down the rabbit hole from Nightwish! When you're ready for it see...yours is an empty hope and the poet and the pendulum (but first read the background information and see the Wembley version).
You want to see another phenomenal live Nightwish performance of Floor and Marko singing off each other. Then you absolutely must see “The Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean” live in Buenos Aires (2018)
Not sure if you know this band or not, but would highly, highly recommend you listen to Epica, founded by the chap who Floor used to be in a band with, and fronted by one of her friends Simone Simons. Abyss of time possibly a good one as a music video, but Consign to oblivion at the Zenith in Paris.......I reckon you will really enjoy :0) They also have a duet with Floor, if you wanted to slide in that way......called Sancta Terra, and also a live performance.
Floor and Marko singing together? Also Wacken 2013, "Ghost River", "Song of Myself". Nice and heavy at the same time. Ik you like poetry, you can take the extended version of the latter one...
Nightwish Army. USA Wisconsin chapter and 19 year Fan of Nightwish . I wholeheartedly invite you both to cheack out "Devil and Deep Dark Ocean " live in Buenos Aires . Keep up the good work Gentlemen , I appreciate your genuine reactions . And just so you know , it only gets better , you've only scratched the surface of the genius of Tuomas Holopainen ,Marco Heitala , Emppu Vuorinen , and Jukka Nevalainen ( a top 3 drummer all time in my book ) who kills it EVERY TIME especially in this tune Romanticide !!! And of couse the Valkyrie Queen herself - Floor Jansen .
Yuka left indeed because of insomnia (and migraine) but still works with Nightwish as one of the managers. He introduced his friend Kai from wintersun who is also called the human metronome. I miss the charisma of Yuka, but Kai is a beast of a drummer.
Yep, definitely Floorgasms 😊😊 Congrats 👏 If you really, really want heavier stuff, then you should do Floor's old band Revamp with the song Disdain.❤ Great reaction as always. Mind-blowing when the Viking and the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy go high ❤😇😇😇
Nightwishes heaviest song is Master, Passion, GREED, it is angry, it is petty, a response of and dramA, best left in the past. It is also great, it only has Marco on vocals, it has not and never will be played live.
I've concurred with some suggestions, but I wanted to add something which is not quite what you asked for: Marko and original singer Tarja singing together in _Phantom_ _of_ _the_ _Opera,_ official live End of an Era. (Not to be confused with the live version with Floor which is somewhat different.) I won't say too much, but believe me it's worth a reaction!
I think the best display of Floor's abilities and range is when she was in her previous band called Revamp and the song "Disdain" live version is amazing
Hey guys, how about getting to know the second biggest symphonic metal band, Epica? In general, they are heavier than Nightwish, in their music there is, in addition to the main female, also male extreme vocals. And the music itself has an epic cinematic sound. I'm sure you'll like it. I recommend a couple of songs: Epica - Skeleton key (official video or omega alive version) Epica - Essence of silence (official live) Epica - Chasing the dragon (live retrospect) with full orchestra on stage
Great reaction as usual guys! There are so many amazing Nightwish songs left for you to react to. If you want to be a bit different try Soilwork “Let This River Flow” featuring Floor Jansen. It’s really heavy and Floor even does harmony growling! It’s an awesome song and I think you would do a great job reacting to it.
I really can see where the Maria Carrey come from, and she is/was?) an great Chanteuse, liked Her Pop Soul Musics back in the 90`s a lot, simple very good and great performed Entertainment. What to say, devoted Professionals and 70k Geeks, the Energy were insane. OK, an EP, surely will check This out Guys, good Luck and much Fun on your mini Tour! Stay healthy NWA Bavaria North, Germany
I know others are recommending some great Floor/Marko songs, and there are many, each a different flavor. But I'm recommending Nightwish's tribute to Pink Floyd - High Hopes. It's from the End of an Era tour in 2005. The original lead vocalist, Tarja, is backstage changing costumes, so it's Tuomas, Jukka, Emppu, and Marko (absolutely amazing vocal). The guys all shine. David Gilmour liked it so much he linked it on social media. Loved your reactions. Your faces when Floor went for the clouds vocally was a pure joy to watch. I liked it so much, I rewound and watched again.
If you haven't already, I recommend you check out 'Song of Myself' from the same show. Impossible not to headbang or windmill during the second half of that one!
Seven Days to the Wolves for more singing together. Live from Wembley or Ghost River from Wacken for a more 80s hair metal sound, again where both sing.
Great reaction. You wanne hear her real heavy? Check out the song Disdain from her former band Revamp (live at Graspop 2010) You at the same time can see why Nightwish wanted her so badly....:)
Check out "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" Live in Buenos Aires 2018, Marko is the enamored "Devil" and Floor is the Mermaid of the Deep Dark Ocean, Metal musical theater, and Kai KILLS IT on drums!!!!!
Floor and Marko together 7 Days to the Wolves at Wembly or I Want My Tears Back in Buenos Aires. For back and forth singing Devil in the Deep Dark Ocean in Buenos Aires or Ghost River from Wacken. Marko as lead try High Hopes, a Pink Floyd tribute, from End of an Era. Marko’s range is equally impressive. Love your guys take, keep up the good work!
Opera singers or Mariah aren't the only singers reaching high levels, heavy metal singers like Floor and Simone have those props too. And of course Tommy Johansson (from Sabaton) doing solo stuff such as "You raise me up (1 octave challenge)".
also, Britney from "Unleash the Archers", Elise Ryd from "Amaranthe", McKinsie from "Suite Clarity", Melody from "Liliac", and of course, Tarja Turinen.....
Sharon del Adel of Within Temptation, Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil… lots of female vocalists that can get that high (or higher). Floor outshines them all.
Hi guys, great reaction. Other powerfull and spectacular ones with Floor and Marco are - Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, live in Buenos Aires, 2018/19 - Song of Myself, live at Wacken, 2013 - Yours is an Empty Hope, Live at Wembley (2015/16) - etc.!
Strong suggestion for the next stop on your NW journey: "Devil and the deep dark ocean" from Buenos Aires A more classical metal, everyone! is going mad and up-speed and Floor does the most crazy things with her voice. And her outfit is by the way awesome as well 🙂
I believe this entire concert is one of the greatest vocal performances in history. But, I cannot deny Whitney Houston's Star Spangled Banner at Super Bowl 1991 is The greatest.
Probably the heaviest song Marko and Floor sang together is Tribal. No live version, but the album version is still worth of listen. Marko (in Nightwish) goes heavy in Master Passion Greed. Very thrash metal song.
🎶 Nightwish Live at Wacken Open Air 2013 🎶 Correct speed - FullHD - Remastered 🎶( ruclips.net/video/mzcy3a9q8_0/видео.html ) Setlist: 1. Dark Chest of Wonders, 2. Wish I Had an Angel, 3. She is My Sin, 4. Ghost River, 5. Ever Dream, 6. Storytime, 7. I Want My Tears Back, 8. Nemo, 9. Last of the Wilds, 10. Bless the Child, 11. Romanticide, 12. Amaranth, 13. Ghost Love Score, 14. Song of Myself, 15. Last Ride of the Day 🎶🎶🎶 Epic concert! 🎶🎶🎶
I love Nightwish with Floor and the Wacken show is great, but people fail to realize that it was recorded and engineered for a CD release, so the audio we hear in the video's is the processed audio straight off the sound board. It is live, but its not exactly what they heard at the show. There are a few times during the vids you can catch where they have enhanced some things. That doesn't take anything away from the performance. Floor is a force of nature. It was a huge loss when Marco left. To me, now its Floor and NW is her backing band. With Floors recent success as a solo artist, and their announcement there wouldn't be any tours to support their new music at least until 2024, they could done, at least with Floor. Oh, and "Song of Myself" if you want them really heavy.
I've only got one thing to say: Best. Banshee. Wail. EVER. By the way, guys, as far as I know, the top note was a G#5. If you want to hear more of Marko, check out Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean from Buenos Aires 2018. In this one, Marko plays the Devil, who is trying to tempt Floor, who is playing a mermaid (vocally).
If Marco &:Floor were singing in the same octave the most common interval between them would be a 5th in the beginning. But Flooor is an octave uigher .
If you want to hear more Marko, check out Master Passion Greed. It’s all Marko. No live version, unfortunately. It’s arguably the heaviest song they’ve ever recorded.
Great reaction, dudes. Such a fantastic song. Looking forward to you doing Shoemaker official lyric vid (find out story of the song 1st). The Greatest Show on Earth live at Tampere (watch to the end of the credits) and Everdream from Waken 2013.
You want gruff vocals from Floor? "Misery's no Crime", with her previous band, Revamp...but by this performance she is also already performing with Nightwish. ruclips.net/video/SNPesLFTnUg/видео.html
😂😂 Mariah Carey!!!😂😂😂 Legit question nowadays. "Not sure if you ever heard of her" Decades of music here.... Love it... 😂😂😂 But yeah... Awesome performance...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌷
For a heavier piece where Marko and Floor sing together and pass the ball between each other, Weak Fantasy, live at Tampere would be my recommendation.
Wanna hear there angriest hardest song? Master passion greed. Also you may want to look at their tribute to Pink Floyd High hopes. From the division bell. It will blow you away guaranteed
@offsetera, For great heavy riffs where Floor and Marco sing together, Ghost River from Wacken 2013, Song of Myself Wacken 2013, 7 Days to the Wolves live in Wembley 2015, Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean live in Buenos Aires 2018, Slaying the Dreamer Buenos Aires live 2018. 🤟🤟✌️✌️🇨🇦
Hi, Nightwish Army here etc :). You might miss some marketing space for your band, by not at least playing some intro or highlight at the beginning, and after then going to the normal business. Several bands did this already and it is fine. It gives smaller bands a chance to use another platform to broadcast their stuff.
If you want to hear Marco , try a Pink Floyd tribute song HIGH HOPES- this was before Floor and another one While your lips are still red - live of course Last year Marco WON - Findlands Masked Singer. Singing everything from Backstreet Boys to Elton John
This song is Like a Coffee with Red Bull .... On Steroids 🤘❤🔥🤘. The “scream” at the end is called a glissando, going from low to high and back, for classically trained singers this is an exercise to warm up the vocal cords, so Floor will do this probably every day before breakfast . NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘.
You can do Buenos Aires 2018 - Devil and the deep dark ocean. Floor and Marko on TOP.
I concur
I concur
Yes!!
I Concur Thrice !!!
Yazzzz
For great Marco / Floor harmonies and back & forth singing, I highly recommend "7 Days To The Wolves" or "Shudder Before The Beautiful" (from the Wembley 2015 concert), "Ghost River" (from Wacken 2013), and "Devil And The Deep Dark Ocean" (from Buenos Aires 2018)
I concur!
All great choices! But, man, for some reason, 7 Days to the Wolves really does it for me. The two of them together still gives me chills.
I concur too
All of these plus Slaying the Dreamer from Buenos Aires 2018
@@Debbie338. 7 Days is my favourite for their singing together!

7 Days to The Wolves from the Wembley Arena Concert is a great one for hearing Floor and Marco together.
My very favorite of them together. ❤

Great that you guys keep going on your Nightwish journey. Great reaction 👍👍👍
Just follow Gabriel's list for new suggestions

Yep, I always wondered how Jukka can drum during 90 mn like crazy and to not sleeping, or almost not sleep, after that. He must be totally exhausted at the end of a tour.
With this song I am awakened in the morning.
And I have energy for the whole day.
Cheers.
Devin and the Deep Dark Ocean Buenos Aires is amazing. I think you'll like that one
🇫🇮❤your reaction & Nightwish. The highest official live note that Floor has so far sung on stage was F6 during this song at Ilosaarirock 2013 here in Finland.

And how high Marko goes just before he descends! Very impressive!
They were super fortunate to be blessed with both Jukka and Kai…two phenomenal drummers who melded so perfectly with this phenomenal band
Proud soldier of Queen Floor here.....
Definitely one of Nightwish's best songs, love the guitar and the vocals.
At last, you see nightwish at their rocking best, thanks for the reaction guys🇬🇧
What , tickled the eardrums hey 😂 thx guys 🤘🏼💥🤘🏼
Thanks for that reaction. You have some good suggestions on where to look next, and Gabriel's list is excellent. This whole Nightwish team works so well together. No egos here, just great, honest musicianship.
"Song of Myself" or "Ghost River" from the same show also have both of them singing.

🤩👍💥💯🎼
"Romanticide" is usually served as like a freight train from where you won't want to hop off at the next possible stop 🛑
🤘😎 🇫🇮 💙
Greetings again from The Netherlands. You seem to be really gentle souls
Floor is the gift that just keeps on giving...
You want to see another phenomenal live Nightwish performance of Floor and Marko singing off each other.
Then you absolutely must see
“The Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean” live in Buenos Aires (2018)
Slaying the dreamer, Dark Chest Of Wonders, Weak Fantasy
the best detail of the video: the guys smile on the right became wider and wider the higher floor went up that siren slide.
Hi, very beautiful reaction
Nightwish Army. USA Wisconsin chapter and 19 year Fan of Nightwish . I wholeheartedly invite you both to cheack out "Devil and Deep Dark Ocean " live in Buenos Aires . I concur.
If you want Floor doing more growly/rough vocals, check out her with Revamp at Grasspop doing Disdain.
If you want Floor doing gruff vocals, you can’t go wrong with her second band, ReVamp. “Disdain” is a good one.
This
Yes!
Yuka left indeed because of insomnia (and migraine) but still works with Nightwish as one of the managers. He introduced his friend Kai from wintersun who is also called the human metronome. I miss the charisma of Yuka, but Kai is a beast of a drummer.
Marco is awesome as the solo singer in High Hopes Pink Floyd cover and also the highlander live.
Jukka still works for Nightwish behind the scenes - management and marketing! Once a family, always a family!
Amazing ❤
"Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean" in Buenos Aires, Official Live Video for more Marko and Floor.
Nightwish army Denmark reporting in 🤘
Great reaction guys 🤘
Ghost River from the same concert is good too, with Floor & Marko. Floor growls a little.
Yep, definitely Floorgasms 😊😊
Congrats 👏
If you really, really want heavier stuff, then you should do Floor's old band Revamp with the song Disdain.❤
Great reaction as always. Mind-blowing when the Viking and the Valkyrie Goddess of Metal and Empathy go high ❤😇😇😇

(Not to be confused with the live version with Floor which is somewhat different.) I won't say too much, but believe me it's worth a reaction!
I call that slide at the end the banshee wail because it just sounds ethereal.
Ghost river all the way. One of my faves songs
I think the best display of Floor's abilities and range is when she was in her previous band called Revamp and the song "Disdain" live version is amazing
Jukka still works with Nightwish- behind the scenes now 😊

I know others are recommending some great Floor/Marko songs, and there are many, each a different flavor. But I'm recommending Nightwish's tribute to Pink Floyd - High Hopes. To hear Marco solo, check out their tribute to pink floyd High Hopes. This was before Floor joined the band.
Many opera houses are claimed to be haunted for some reason.
Hope you're able to get to Denver sometime. I'd definitely go check out a show. Cheers!
i bet you will love "Ghost river" from same festival
If you haven't already, I recommend you check out 'Song of Myself' from the same show. Impossible not to headbang or windmill during the second half of that one!
Seven Days to the Wolves for more singing together. Live from Wembley or Ghost River from Wacken for a more 80s hair metal sound, again where both sing.
It was the legendary Wacken-Concert 2013 in front of 82.000 people.
Empuu playes his signature EV-1 wich is based off of the ESP Horizon And Marco playes his Warwick Vampyre 4 string bass.
Great reaction.
You wanne hear her real heavy?
Check out the song Disdain from her former band Revamp (live at Graspop 2010)
You at the same time can see why Nightwish wanted her so badly....:)
BTW, the "NOTE" is called a glissando. Where you go up/down a full octave and they did it in unison!
Jukka is still with the band, but backstage. I think he manage the shop and other stuff
I had no idea we could move the subtitles xD Never thought about trying either. Now I learned something new! xD
Opera singers or Mariah aren't the only singers reaching high levels, heavy metal singers like Floor and Simone have those props too. And of course Tommy Johansson (from Sabaton) doing solo stuff such as "You raise me up (1 octave challenge)".

Sharon del Adel of Within Temptation, Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil… lots of female vocalists that can get that high (or higher). Floor outshines them all.
As well as Yannis Papadopoulos from Beast in Black
Hi guys, great reaction. Other powerfull and spectacular ones with Floor and Marco are
- Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean, live in Buenos Aires, 2018/19
- Song of Myself, live at Wacken, 2013
- Yours is an Empty Hope, Live at Wembley (2015/16)
- etc.!
Check out their tribute to Pink Floyd's High Hopes. It is great.
BTW, Jukka is now the Nightwish President. He's running the business side of Nightwish.
Strong suggestion for the next stop on your NW journey: "Devil and the deep dark ocean" from Buenos Aires
A more classical metal, everyone! is going mad and up-speed and Floor does the most crazy things with her voice.
And her outfit is by the way awesome as well 🙂
I believe this entire concert is one of the greatest vocal performances in history. But, I cannot deny Whitney Houston's Star Spangled Banner at Super Bowl 1991 is The greatest.
"Song of myself" definitely, followed by the "Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean"
Probably the heaviest song Marko and Floor sang together is Tribal. No live version, but the album version is still worth of listen.
Marko (in Nightwish) goes heavy in Master Passion Greed. Very thrash metal song.

I really enjoy song of myself 2013 Wacken open air (same concert)
I've only got one thing to say:
Best. Banshee. Wail.
Devil and the deep dark ocean. Heavy, Marco and Floor sing together. Sounds like a great one to react to. Oh have you both done Ghost river yet?.
If Marco &:Floor were singing in the same octave the most common interval between them would be a 5th in the beginning. But Flooor is an octave uigher .
A Pantera feel
Let's go back in time. If you are Pink Floyd fans, listen to their tribute to Pink Floyd "High Hopes" featuring Marco :)
😂😂 Mariah Carey!!!😂😂😂
Legit question nowadays. "Not sure if you ever heard of her"
Decades of music here.... Love it...
😂😂😂
But yeah... Awesome performance...👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌷
For a heavier piece where Marko and Floor sing together and pass the ball between each other, Weak Fantasy, live at Tampere would be my recommendation.
7 days to the wolves. Live from Wembley
Wanna hear there angriest hardest song? Master passion greed. Also you may want to look at their tribute to Pink Floyd High hopes. From the division bell. It will blow you away guaranteed
7 Days to the Wolves
@offsetera, For great heavy riffs where Floor and Marco sing together, Ghost River from Wacken 2013, Song of Myself Wacken 2013, 7 Days to the Wolves live in Wembley 2015, Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean live in Buenos Aires 2018, Slaying the Dreamer Buenos Aires live 2018. 🤟🤟✌️✌️🇨🇦
Try Seven Days to the Wolves - live at Wembley
Hi, Nightwish Army here etc :). You might miss some marketing space for your band, by not at least playing some intro or highlight at the beginning, and after then going to the normal business.
Several bands did this already and it is fine. It gives smaller bands a chance to use another platform to broadcast their stuff.
If you want to hear Marco , try a Pink Floyd tribute song HIGH HOPES- this was before Floor and another one While your lips are still red - live of course
Last year Marco WON - Findlands Masked Singer.
Listen to The phantom at the opera with Tarja Turunen from the end of an era Dvd
Try 7 Days to the Wolves or The Devil and The Deep Dark Ocean.
