I've had my eye on one of these for a long time, just have too many other mechanical gremlins to sort out before buying one. Good to know that they can make one to suit certain dimensions too! Also, the video of Brett setting it up on the Drifta site looks quite simple with only one person doing it.. Lift it out and rest one end on the rear step, then you'll have a free hand to let the legs down. Great vid, once again! Cheers
Drifta makes great gear. I bought a kitchen off them many years ago Woolies sell jars of grass fed Ghee which is great for frying, etc and doesn't require refrigeration and won't freeze up as easily and if it does it can be easily dug out of the jar with a hot knife. You're living v the dream mate! Nice lady, awesome Landy and a Drifta! Well done.
The whole thing is painted..... it looks like subwoofer box carpet, how did you manage to create such texture? It looks so cool like it is designed to match the trunk of a vehicle
cool setup! Video critique, no need to have music in the background. Not everyone likes the same tunes, if I want to hear what you’re talking about but have to mute it that’s not helpful
Hate to ask what they charged for that kitchen. Drifta gear is really expensive. Looks heavy and not easy for one person to handle. Be good if you could rig it up to some slides. Personally I don't think that would work for.me as it has limited space. Thanks for the vid though mate 👍 Love ya work and the defender ofcourse.
@@defender90orkney9 yeah I know what you mean about a draw system. I don't want one in my 110 either. I like having the rear empty when I'm not on the tracks. I've actually removed the rear seats and have my fridge and slide behind the drivers seat with a pull out bench under the slide for a quick roadside lunch stop. I like using containers to store things. Good luck with it
My opinion - if your looking to enjoy the outdoors, why bring your kitchen with you ? These “kitchens” are way too big and heavy to be practical, need two people and take a ton of space. Presumably most people going to this level also have a fridge which means all your cargo space is used. A small table and a couple of plastic bins is way more practical and cheaper. An old fashion Chuck Box would be a great half way solution.
You only customized it for yourself, what about your lady? Nothing for her... thats not nice. How do you manage taking that out and putting it back in? The lady was having a little trouble holding it much less you alone
Please - no music. Huge turnoff. My ears are hurting. I'd like to hear you speak without being rendered deaf with background noise. Ruined the experience completely. MUSIC ADDS NOTHING BUT SUBTRACTS EVERYTHING. I cannot subscribe to channels that render me deaf.

1st person I've seen to add a net on the side, i really like this idea! and will be borrowing it 😉.
I’d be upgrading those slides to full extension. Pain getting items in and out of drawers that only open 80%
Good stuff mate and you forgot to mention the tyres on your rig to obviously climb trees and cliff faces :)
Impressive 👍
Do you tie down in the back of the Defender or is it pretty solid and doesn't move much?

Neat little set up thats for sure
Incredible
Odlicno 😉
it's a nice box but a challenge to carry and setup. Seems like it should be a single person setup as you're not cooking for an army.

Were plastic boxes lighter for your vehicle payload?
Hi Mate. Where did you get your Jetboil genesis from? Thanks
Looks great mate.
Yep, oil out in the bush is always a pain in the arse.
nice mate, very organised set up. thanks for sharing. cheers Shad 🍻

Whats the size of those massive tyres?..my eyes were on those tyres all the time...
Nice work!👍
Hey mate. What model drifta is this or is it custom?
@@defender90orkney9 looks awesome. I like your idea, I might tweak it a bit to suit me. How much about 600-700?
How did you made it
How much did it cost?
Looks to heavy, especially if only one person

Dobro
