I am 73 and trying to learn guitar. After at least 20 You Tube Teachers you are the first that takes it slow enough and clearly enough for me to follow. Thank you so much.
What a fabulous lesson, plenty to keep me practicing and motivated, can’t wait to crack on. Such clear direction. Feeling the vibrations of music as I play the guitar, just brings music to life for me, you can feel when you get it right. Thank you
Hi jamie i'm one of your suscribers i just want to say, you're an amazing teacher and because of you i learned how to play guitar and THANKYOU VERY MUCH!! GOD BLESS AND BLESS GOD!! 😊🥰🤗
Awesome lesson Jamie. I have been practicing alot on the song Alberta by Eric Clapton untill my fingers hurt. Couldn't find the right strum for this song but watched this lesson and other vidios u showed different strumming patterns. Now I have a strum for this song. Thank u so much for all u do for us out here in guitar land.
Nice Jamie, was playing December by Collective Soul on my Takamine and saw your video on my RUclips feed. Great lesson and isn’t I, IV, V , the three basic harmonies so important. So many songs in this harmony, power chords (not a chord) and major, minors. I, IV and V is the key to understanding music from my self taught knowledge. I’m a blues lover and substitute with 7th and 9th! And yes I had a few guitar lessons from a instructor who said never put your thumb on the E bass string (which I do constantly) and dropped his lessons. Actually my first guitar lesson from this instructor 10 years ago asked me what song do you want to learn Mike and I said Kansas “Dust in the Wind.” He could not play it at all, but I nailed it and self taught ever since!
Dear lady, I wish I'd met you 45 years ago, lol. My brother taught me how to get frustrated by a guitar teacher, lol. You would have saved me years of struggle learning to play. Theere is much I can still learn from some of yoou videos but I can tell you one thing for sure. ANYBODY who tells me they want to learn guitar will be sent straight to your videos. Thank you Jamie.
@@JamieAndersonMusic Thank You Jamie. I really love your videos. They are very easy to understand. I am 61 years old and just learning the guitar. I tried taking lessons at the local Guitar Center store for three months. It was very frustrating. I really felt no progress in learning. Since I’ve started following you I have improved greatly. One of the big problems I have is listening to a song and knowing what strum pattern to use when playing. I like Neon Moon by Brooks and Dunn and can’t seem to figure out how to strum it. I also like many old songs. One of them is Funny Face by Barbara Fairchild. My husband looks at me weird when I try to play and sing stuff like that! HaHa! Maybe part of me just loves to do it because it’s not his kind of music! 😂. Thanks again for all of your videos. They are fantastic. Have yourself a beautiful day! Carrie .
@@carrieolsen5257 Glad my lessons are helping. DDUDDU works for Neon Moon but not for Funny Face. For that one, try DDDU. Your husband doesn't like country music?! That's grounds for divorce. 😀
Hi Jamie it is always a pleasure to take a lesson with you but i have a question the C chord is not easy for me. Can i replace this chord by C added 9 who is easier for me and take this chord for all songs who require the C chord. Thanks for the response.Your provoncial neighbor

Jamie, I would like to request that you do Could I have this dance by Anne Murray. Thank you for all your helpful pointers.
I love that song. I'll add it to the list. It's a long list, though, so please be patient.

I like all kinds of music including Taylor Swift.
Awesome 👏👏👏
Thanks
Thanks for this..... works great on the Ukulele too....
You're welcome. It works for any string instrument where you play chords. I've used it with mandolin .
Hi Jamie. Another brilliant demonstration
How's progress with the new course going. I'm really looking forward to seeing the content 😁👍
Thanks, Frank. I probably won't do a separate course, sorry. I will, however, continue to post on RUclips.
@@JamieAndersonMusic
Hi Jamie.
That's a shame but not to worry, I'll just have to keep watching your RUclips channel.
Keep up the good work 😀👍
GREAT TEACHER AND A VERY PLEASANT VOICE FROM A OLD 75 YEAR OLD GUY WHO IS TRYING BUT I USE THE CHORD BUDDY (I HAVE TO OR I CAN'T PLAY)
Whatever works. 😊🎵 Keep playing!
Fantastic
Thank you! Cheers!
can also use - DDUUDU
True. It's harder for 1/2 measures, though.
Jamie, I wonder if this strum pattern will work on " Navajo Rug"? Appreciate your help and I am still learning.
It does but a boom chuck might work better.

Sometimes a Cadd9 works but not always. Keep practicing the C. A lot of beginners have trouble with it.
Thank you

The answer my friend
Is blowing in the wind ...
I'm going to have to buy me a guitar....
Absolutely. I think it's law that everyone with the last name of Anderson should play.
Great
Thanks
@@JamieAndersonMusic you could of made millions with your rendition of leaving on a jet plane if you would have sung it first.
@@Stockho. That's very sweet of you, Bob. Thanks.
Love the excuse (need more coffee).
