nah it hits so much harder when its someone you were grouped with for awhile, once i was playing teno in a group for 5 HOURS grouped and bonded with this dude, just for him to get his cera friend and TEAM UP to kill me (had the audacity to say “ez kill” aswell)
I had a similar situation back on Spiro, I was walking by myself as a teno and I see 2 other tenos, so we grouped up for a while, (at this point we were together for over 30 minutes and I trusted them) and I wanted to log out because it was getting late, so I tell them I’m logging out, and they said “we will protect you in the bush” so I was sleeping they both started kicking me and I got up and ran because I was very low and I can’t win a 2v1 while I’m damaged and I just asked in the chat “Why?” And of course they couldn’t answer that. I know some people say “because it’s fun”, but it’s really not how the game is meant to be played and yes, it does ruin it for some people. I had a screenshot of the names of the people who attacked me but my screenshots keep disappearing so sadly I can’t share their names.

people these signs do help but please please PLEASE DO NOT attack first just because they "showed the signs" most of these signs can also mean there a solo player not wanting to group up or talk and they just plan to eat/drink then move on with there day or they are in a vc with friends and ran off to eat/drink and dont want randoms following there group the best advice is DO NOT let them near ur head or just near u in general be defensive and alert but not aggressive if u attack first and they arent a cannibal then congrats buddy ur now a cannibal

I am often running solo or duo on teno. Got accused of being a cannibal the other day by a herd and was attacked because I wouldn't accept group invite, even though I'd talked in chat several times and been hanging around the area for a while. Very frustrating, I wasn't even a threat, I was quite literally a juvie when they made their decree. They killed my friend and I initially escaped after trying to explain that we'd been attacked first(at that point we were simply defending ourselves as I'd been knocked flat and then kicked as I tried to run) but they wouldn't listen to reason, and since migrations are a thing they found me again later and just attacked on sight. Quite annoying really, considering my only offense was not joining their group while existing in the migration zone with them x]

so an update.......me and my bud were dilos we found a adult stego who fell and died and this dilo ran up to us acting nice, chatting and not getting near us......then 2 omnis attacked us and he helped em kill my buddy and said ":) gotta feed my omnis" so i killed one of his omnis so literally ANYTHING means canni trust nobody

I was with a group of patchy's once, and omg Player0 was there. (The youtuber but I assume they were a fake, idk tho) and they went after only other herbis and tenos not patchy. I guess that is less bad but still. As a player I hope other herbs are kinda gonna protect me but I gots trust issues lol

I always try to say hi in chat to same species and choose to avoid them if they cant even type back(bc im assuming they dont wanna expose their name). Also perhaps obvious but if someone is running directly at you without having chatted, even if they are friendly calling, WATCH OUT.

the other day i came across a mixpacking dilo named "Yoru" who acted friendly until they decided to try and kill me for their juvi carno friend. dumbass couldn't even kill me with his buddy i got away, healed to full, and continued my gaming experience! be aware of "Yoru" if you ever come across them!
I think I came came across him when I was playing dilo and he was with a cera too but he didint want to kill any of us he seemed cool and we used the cerato to help us hunt

Funny thats the same spot i got trapped by mixpackers, i was a Teno and there was a Stego down in that drinking area, thought he was cool at first until he trapped me in that passage way by blocking the ramp back up, come to find out there were two crocs in that little drinking spot, had to jump off the waterfall and eventually drowned to death.
This is heart-wrenching 😢. An only thing I can think of was that teno was mixpacking amd was going to feed you to its croc friend. So sorry this happen ❤. Isle is very unforgiving but new life is always new adventures. An more pretty skins too 😊

I dont understand why the "Cannible" title for herbivores. If anything they are Rabid and should be treated as such. Heck the devs should add a visual indicator for species that aren't canibalistic (deino and cerato) if they get an X amount of kills of the same species with herbivores having the lowest amount. Literly have the visual signs of the rabes appear on them: Foaming/drooling mouth, unique body posture (drooping heads and hunched backs) with more unsteady swaying in the idle pose as well as making growling sounds every-so often and with their regular calls.

Me and two other Tenos befriended a Stego and then we were all sitting together then all of a sudden the Stego got up and i kid you not one shotted ALL THREE OF US. WTF STEGOS ARE TRASH!!!
I think the stego was either bored of being an adult and wanted excitement, or simply wanted to annoy others. As a stego player, I can say that not all stegos are like this.
As I deino main who tried to go without cannibalizing for a very long time, I can safely say the only way to survive is to canni every single hatchling you find. It’s a dark world but survival is all that matters
Deino and Cera are different, they have Canni diets.. however, for all other species, cannibalizing is essentially useless and very, very stupid, only for incompetent players who cannot hunt.
As a deino when someone is chasing me I go on land and run very far and l out works 70% of the time bc most of the time they are scared to go too far from water
Meh, I raised multiple deino to full adulthood while not being a canni (it's a personnal rule for me), unless the lad literally attack me. Just go to the area you know you'll find food and try to get to the few viable amush spots.
this video needs more views, in fact there should be an itemized list of names and alias' used by cannibals and mixpackers specifically for the purpose of the average player targeting them as they do the average player.
I have yet to meet a canni that is good at pvp. That's why they never fight you fairly. They know that if they would 3 call first they would die. It's the same with mixpackers. I've never seen any good players in those groups either. Tough spot you were at, but anywhere else you would have killed the loser even with them getting the first hit.

But I used to play CONSTANTLY as a deino and this is EXACTLY how they acted, I'm just glad he ended up talking and I'll keep his user in mind! on deino you just don't trust anyone aside from your friends (yeah, not even random vc guys) even if they talk sometimes they just do this to distract you and attack while you type

Was playing deino the othet day, and felt like i was at a stand still with another deino by the glitched waterfall. I was on bottom, he was at the top. He was calling out, but would NOT talk in chat, no matter how many attempts, including asking if they wanted to nest. I wasnt risking going to the top because he wouldnt talk at all. And i had an advantage where i was at in case he wanted to fight. Like we both had the advantage staying where we were at. Neither knew how big the other was, either, as we didnt see each other, just heard each other calling back and forth lol. 1 calling, that is. Finally, i heard him move, think he killed something, but ended up stuck in the glitch! 😂 THEN he finally talked lol. He kept biting, thought he wanted the organs. Asked him. He finally responded lol. Said no glitched. I could smell the food, thought it was the stuck to your face glitch, so tried helping, as he did ask for help after that lol, asked if that was what it was, he said yea lol. Told him he needed to log, but he never did...just kept biting lol. After a few, he went quiet...and s diet appeared lol. And i got a free meal 😊. Im almost positive he wouldve tried to fight if i went to the top of the waterfall, but i just find it so funny how it ended up with me getting a free meal out of it lol. And tbf, i DID ask...food stuck to your face glitch? He said yes. Had he said, no...stuck in the world glitch, i woulsve easily told him the /unstuck command lol. The same one i used after gettiny my fill of his body lol. Not that it would matter, as deinos ARE cannis anyways, but i wasnt trying to go out of my way to canni him lol. Not sure why people play a horror survival game and think other Dino’s shouldn’t attack them? That guy was so sketchy and gave so much warning you should have attacked him instead of letting him set up on you multiple times. No one needs a reason to attack you in this game, shouldn’t act like he did some evil thing and should be hunted, YOU should keep an eye out for him.
I agree that people should expect other people to attack them in a game like the isle. But I don't agree with the, they did not do some "evil thing". I would argue that they did do an "evil thing" in the fact that they killed for no benefit. They were a herb. Killing another herb offered no benefit, in fact it actually lowers the chances of surviving as now it is a 1v?? instead of a 2v??. They did it purely for fun at the expense of the other players fun. It was a selfish act. The other player had to sink in 2-3 hours to grow out a fg teno to what. Die in an unfair way, surprise attacked by their own kind. It would be a bit more fair if the other teno initiated the fight by 3 calling but cannies don't. Why? Probably because they know they would die and that they would lose all of their time and progress if they made it a fair fight and that wouldn't be very fun then would it? Cannibal means you eat your own kind. A Teno can't eat meat so technically it can't be a canni. A KOSer (person that kills on sight for no reason) is more accurate, but I get what you mean.

I believe there is quite a bit wrong with it. People spend hours to grow a creature, and for it to be taken away by someone who should theoretically be on their side? I see no issue with Ceras cannibilizing, or even Deinos up to a point, as Crocodiles cannibalize in nature and Cera has a kleptoparisitic cannibal niche. But for someone to kill another Teno, as a Teno is just toxic. The person who "cannibalized" in the video was straight up toxic.
Not only is there game ruining bugs still prevelent for years, but when you add the lowest tier of subhuman trash into the equation, the game is all around horrible. There are no redeeming qualities about it, and now that indie devs are picking up the genre, I can see The Isle dying off within the next 5 years.

Hate herbivore cannibals for one, at least with carnivore if food is scarce, you do what you got to do sometimes, but it's just disappointing for a dino of any diet to try and gain your trust then do that.

I was with a group of patchy's once, and omg Player0 was there. (The youtuber but I assume they were a fake, idk tho) and they went after only other herbis and tenos not patchy. I guess that is less bad but still. As a player I hope other herbs are kinda gonna protect me but I gots trust issues lol

Something similar happened to me and my friend, we found two other Tenos who then took us into their group. Later they killed us for no reason.
I always try to say hi in chat to same species and choose to avoid them if they cant even type back(bc im assuming they dont wanna expose their name). Also perhaps obvious but if someone is running directly at you without having chatted, even if they are friendly calling, WATCH OUT.

i was playing on PoT on a community server as baby smilos with my sister. an adult smilo and 3 golus took us in. we parted ways to quest more. came back as sub adults and they tried to kill us AFTER we all said hi and reunited. asked why and they went "we're hungry, hunger trumps friendship". in gp, where theres bodies everywhere lol. so i said "they can eat you. or starve." they hunted us down and ended up running away bc they almost died to 2 sub smilos haha
the other day i came across a mixpacking dilo named "Yoru" who acted friendly until they decided to try and kill me for their juvi carno friend.
dumbass couldn't even kill me with his buddy i got away, healed to full, and continued my gaming experience!
be aware of "Yoru" if you ever come across them!
I think I came came across him when I was playing dilo and he was with a cera too but he didint want to kill any of us he seemed cool and we used the cerato to help us hunt

Funny thats the same spot i got trapped by mixpackers, i was a Teno and there was a Stego down in that drinking area, thought he was cool at first until he trapped me in that passage way by blocking the ramp back up, come to find out there were two crocs in that little drinking spot, had to jump off the waterfall and eventually drowned to death.
You got the last laugh, as they did not get the last hit! :D
This is heart-wrenching 😢. An only thing I can think of was that teno was mixpacking amd was going to feed you to its croc friend. So sorry this happen ❤. Isle is very unforgiving but new life is always new adventures. An more pretty skins too 😊

I dont understand why the "Cannible" title for herbivores. If anything they are Rabid and should be treated as such. Heck the devs should add a visual indicator for species that aren't canibalistic (deino and cerato) if they get an X amount of kills of the same species with herbivores having the lowest amount.
Literly have the visual signs of the rabes appear on them: Foaming/drooling mouth, unique body posture (drooping heads and hunched backs) with more unsteady swaying in the idle pose as well as making growling sounds every-so often and with their regular calls.

Me and two other Tenos befriended a Stego and then we were all sitting together then all of a sudden the Stego got up and i kid you not one shotted ALL THREE OF US. WTF STEGOS ARE TRASH!!!
I think the stego was either bored of being an adult and wanted excitement, or simply wanted to annoy others. As a stego player, I can say that not all stegos are like this.

As I deino main who tried to go without cannibalizing for a very long time, I can safely say the only way to survive is to canni every single hatchling you find. It’s a dark world but survival is all that matters
Deino and Cera are different, they have Canni diets.. however, for all other species, cannibalizing is essentially useless and very, very stupid, only for incompetent players who cannot hunt.
As a deino when someone is chasing me I go on land and run very far and l out works 70% of the time bc most of the time they are scared to go too far from water

Meh, I raised multiple deino to full adulthood while not being a canni (it's a personnal rule for me), unless the lad literally attack me.
Just go to the area you know you'll find food and try to get to the few viable amush spots.
this video needs more views, in fact there should be an itemized list of names and alias' used by cannibals and mixpackers specifically for the purpose of the average player targeting them as they do the average player.

I have yet to meet a canni that is good at pvp. That's why they never fight you fairly. They know that if they would 3 call first they would die. It's the same with mixpackers. I've never seen any good players in those groups either. Tough spot you were at, but anywhere else you would have killed the loser even with them getting the first hit.
Thanks for this video! It was so accurate and just a perfect example, I don't think I've ever had the same specie (as herbivore) try to kill me. But I used to play CONSTANTLY as a deino and this is EXACTLY how they acted, I'm just glad he ended up talking and I'll keep his user in mind!

on deino you just don't trust anyone aside from your friends (yeah, not even random vc guys) even if they talk sometimes they just do this to distract you and attack while you type

I remember first time i grew an omni in evrima i was in a pack with 4 members, and we where low on food so the nearest packmate to me pounced me and i died, he must’ve been new cuz if an omni eats another omni they Get vomit sickness.

Most often because of boredom (or they are not skilled enough in PVP to fight dinosaurs they are supposed to fight, such as Carnivores!)

Was playing deino the othet day, and felt like i was at a stand still with another deino by the glitched waterfall. I was on bottom, he was at the top. He was calling out, but would NOT talk in chat, no matter how many attempts, including asking if they wanted to nest. I wasnt risking going to the top because he wouldnt talk at all. And i had an advantage where i was at in case he wanted to fight. Like we both had the advantage staying where we were at. Neither knew how big the other was, either, as we didnt see each other, just heard each other calling back and forth lol. 1 calling, that is. Finally, i heard him move, think he killed something, but ended up stuck in the glitch! 😂 THEN he finally talked lol. He kept biting, thought he wanted the organs. Asked him. He finally responded lol. Said no glitched. I could smell the food, thought it was the stuck to your face glitch, so tried helping, as he did ask for help after that lol, asked if that was what it was, he said yea lol. Told him he needed to log, but he never did...just kept biting lol. After a few, he went quiet...and s diet appeared lol. And i got a free meal 😊.
Im almost positive he wouldve tried to fight if i went to the top of the waterfall, but i just find it so funny how it ended up with me getting a free meal out of it lol. And tbf, i DID ask...food stuck to your face glitch? He said yes. Had he said, no...stuck in the world glitch, i woulsve easily told him the /unstuck command lol. The same one i used after gettiny my fill of his body lol. Not that it would matter, as deinos ARE cannis anyways, but i wasnt trying to go out of my way to canni him lol.

Not sure why people play a horror survival game and think other Dino’s shouldn’t attack them? That guy was so sketchy and gave so much warning you should have attacked him instead of letting him set up on you multiple times. No one needs a reason to attack you in this game, shouldn’t act like he did some evil thing and should be hunted, YOU should keep an eye out for him.
I agree that people should expect other people to attack them in a game like the isle. But I don't agree with the, they did not do some "evil thing". I would argue that they did do an "evil thing" in the fact that they killed for no benefit. They were a herb. Killing another herb offered no benefit, in fact it actually lowers the chances of surviving as now it is a 1v?? instead of a 2v??. They did it purely for fun at the expense of the other players fun. It was a selfish act. The other player had to sink in 2-3 hours to grow out a fg teno to what. Die in an unfair way, surprise attacked by their own kind. It would be a bit more fair if the other teno initiated the fight by 3 calling but cannies don't. Why? Probably because they know they would die and that they would lose all of their time and progress if they made it a fair fight and that wouldn't be very fun then would it? It makes the game frustrating when you constantly have to tread on egg shells.
☝🤓Nevertheless and in contrast to my argument, would I want the game to have no cannies? No, because it makes the game interesting and adds to the survival aspect of the game. Have I ever done something similar to what this cannie did? Yes. Cannibal means you eat your own kind. A Teno can't eat meat so technically it can't be a canni. A KOSer (person that kills on sight for no reason) is more accurate, but I get what you mean.

Remember kids silent = violent. It's obviously not 100% of the time, but it's probably best to avoid those who try to keep their name hidden, whether it be through avoiding group invites or speaking. Though I have had a scenario where someone added me to the group just to wait for me to rest then attack so 👍

I believe there is quite a bit wrong with it. People spend hours to grow a creature, and for it to be taken away by someone who should theoretically be on their side? I see no issue with Ceras cannibilizing, or even Deinos up to a point, as Crocodiles cannibalize in nature and Cera has a kleptoparisitic cannibal niche. But for someone to kill another Teno, as a Teno is just toxic. The person who "cannibalized" in the video was straight up toxic.
I mean both are pretty toxic and ruin the game.

Not only is there game ruining bugs still prevelent for years, but when you add the lowest tier of subhuman trash into the equation, the game is all around horrible. There are no redeeming qualities about it, and now that indie devs are picking up the genre, I can see The Isle dying off within the next 5 years.
