And they even made the other two DMs holographic for salt in the wound. Maybe they should've switched the Gadget deck DM and Duelist Kingdom since each set HAD to have 5 holos.
If there's one thing I wish they'd start doing, it's reprinting the God Cards with their signature colors, instead of the normal card front, and have them be playable. They just look better like that in my opinion.

This is officially the best Yu-Gi-Oh Box Set Ever, Konami did right by the die-hard fans and produced one of the best products ever the only thing about the Duelist Kingdom deck that is missing is Silver Fang, but that aside all 3 decks are great, and we FINALLY got the Arkana version of the Dark Magician in the TCG. However this set is missing a few cards, The duelist Kingdom Deck is missing Silver Fang, Horned Imp (perfect set to do a first printing in, along with Griffore), and Book of Secret Arts, also it should have Spellbinding Circle cause Yugi did use that card several times in Duelist Kingdom.

I only got this so I could figure out first-hand which pieces of Exodia were missing. And the Gadget Deck is JACKED UP! I felt like I was tearing apart the other decks just to fix it.
If each year, Konami makes one of these for each protagonist, they will make a bloody fortune! It could be done because the main characters all have decks that change a lot throughout the series. For Yusei, Jaden and Yuma they could cut it down to 2 decks but give us a full 15 card extra deck.
My childhood in one Box xD It wasn't necessary for them to put all the god cards I feel like just slifer would reflect Yugi. They could have than followed up with a Kaiba decks for Obelisk and heck a combination of Mai Odion and Marik's decks for Ra. Overall this was something I saw and even though I don't play Yugioh anymore, this has got to beat the best Product I've ever boughten.
Wait, why the hell is Monster Reborn, banned? You mean to tell me they release tournament legal Egyptian God Cards, yet they ban a card that resurrects monsters?
monster reborn sees play in every deck and if u topdeck it there's salt by ur opponent while god cards don't and unfortunately they aren't that good of a card anymore.
They need a similar card to Monster Reborn, just only for the users graveyard. I haven't played in a while, maybe they do. Like downside with Call of the Haunted and Premature Burial, if they get destroyed the monster is gone too.

Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Gaia the Dragon Champion, Dark Paladin, Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, Buster Blader, Kuriboh, and Monster Reborn. They made sure the other two Dark Magician's were holographic, but they couldn't find a way to make the most important one (for nostalgic reasons) holographic.

+Mo Vang It's likely they weren't put out yet I work at a Target, and I noticed that vendors put out all of their trading card products out now. This means that the store itself doesn't put them out, they have one guy per district go to each store and put them out whenever he gets to the store. That's why it takes a few days some times. Irritating, I know.
+dark eco Always have. This game is HORRIBLE to try and collect. So you spend a ton of money on packs to pull a secret rare card. Cool! Good for you...only a year later they print the same card in a $10 structure deck as a common. Nice secret rare though!

i hate konami for making those packs ...back in the past I spend a lot of money to have exodia an the god cards ...and there where just so hard to get ...no one had them... also these cards with the ship the gold and the kingdom ...like i have the old japanese version that where the rarest shit ever and now anybody can have them ...for me printing the god cards over and over again just ruins this game

The Ugly Barnacle looking around at card stores you have next to 0 chance of running into old cards like that, and if you did it's probably over priced anyway it's really only possible to find cards like that regularly online sadly
+GenkiDamaSama The issue with online is that cards can be dirt-cheap to the point where a gumball costs more, but they can also become ludicrously expensive depending on what they are. I mean, Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight is going for at least 30 dollars right now. It's basically a nerfed XYZ Dragon Cannon, and the latter isn't even worth anything at all. Maybe it's just because they took one of the most attractive monsters in the game and placed her in stripperific armor. That must be it.
Was so happy to see a bunch of these still available today at the store. Picked one up for myself and one for my friend. For me, I wanted the 5 ultra Exodia pieces...but my friend will LOVE the flavor of the decks as he's a big fan of the cartoon series. Hopefully these 3 decks are fun to play against each other and we can keep them intact to play through some games as they are :D
I bought this box yesterday and it's awesome! If Konami made Yugi's DK(Duelist Kingdom) deck, BC(Battle City) deck and his gadget deck. They should at least make Yugi's Waking the Dragons deck as well someday later.

I finally have a playset of DMG Yugi pack art. There's somethings I wish this product had come with. But I'm not gone to complain, as they gave us the alt arts of DM and DMG.

I think Jaden would actually work pretty well, you have "1st year" with straight Elemental Heroes, "2nd year" with Neos and the Neo-Spacians, and "3rd year" with Evil Heroes and Yubel. This is an amazing set. So much nostalgia... It sucks that so many of these cards got power crept to oblivion, but it still has some really good reprints too. I want to play Dark Magician of Chaos legally in my decks so bad it's crazy. Get to updating the ban list already, Konami! I'm not sure if we'll get other sets like this in the future. At the very least, I can see this happening for Kaiba as well. Unfortunately, the other series protagonists don't have the benefit of first series privileges...
I love the original YuGiOh, but considering how much the game has evolved, looking back, Yugi only having Gaia The Dragon Champion in his extra deck is laughable. Everyone these days has like multiple copies of each card in the extra deck and other cards too.
I see that we did not get Dark Sage in the Duelist kingdom deck also why was Dark Magician girl in the Duelist Kingdom deck? she did not show up until Season two and in the Battle City deck I did not see Light of interventions and Yami used that in his first Battle City duel.
They should definitely make one for Kaiba. Kaiba's duelist kingdom deck that had the Blue-Eyes White Dragons, Rabid Horseman, and Lord of Dragon. Kaiba's battle city deck that had Obelisk and Blue-Eyes Ultimate. Kaiba's Pyramid of Light deck that had the three Sphinx and Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon.

I don't know why this was recommended to me all these years later, but man that old intro is nostalgic.
Looks like a great buy for the sake of nostalgia but the common bls and dark paladin made me sad.
I only got this so I could figure out first-hand which pieces of Exodia were missing. And the Gadget Deck is JACKED UP! I felt like I was tearing apart the other decks just to fix it.
I can't wait to get this myself! I want to try and use the Exodia deck since Exodia is one of my favorites!

It could be done because the main characters all have decks that change a lot throughout the series. For Yusei, Jaden and Yuma they could cut it down to 2 decks but give us a full 15 card extra deck.
If they do yuma we could maybe get 106 5 and 1000

It wasn't necessary for them to put all the god cards I feel like just slifer would reflect Yugi. They could have than followed up with a Kaiba decks for Obelisk and heck a combination of Mai Odion and Marik's decks for Ra.
Overall this was something I saw and even though I don't play Yugioh anymore, this has got to beat the best Product I've ever boughten.
Wait, why the hell is Monster Reborn, banned? You mean to tell me they release tournament legal Egyptian God Cards, yet they ban a card that resurrects monsters?
monster reborn sees play in every deck and if u topdeck it there's salt by ur opponent while god cards don't and unfortunately they aren't that good of a card anymore.

They need a similar card to Monster Reborn, just only for the users graveyard. I haven't played in a while, maybe they do. Like downside with Call of the Haunted and Premature Burial, if they get destroyed the monster is gone too.

+mageftw222 If this was some random set, I wouldn't mind it being common, but since it's a collectors item based on Yugi's decks, I find it an insult that most of his iconic cards are left as common. Dark Magician, Dark Magician Girl, Gaia the Dragon Champion, Dark Paladin, Black Luster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning, Buster Blader, Kuriboh, and Monster Reborn. They made sure the other two Dark Magician's were holographic, but they couldn't find a way to make the most important one (for nostalgic reasons) holographic.

People call the original Yu-Gi-Oh outdated but for me the story line with Yugi and the pharaoh is the best by far and is the only series I will watch and this deck opening really took me back to when I started watching the show, I suck at the game itself as I spend all my time watching the show online and these openings. I work at a Target, and I noticed that vendors put out all of their trading card products out now. This means that the store itself doesn't put them out, they have one guy per district go to each store and put them out whenever he gets to the store. That's why it takes a few days some times.

This game is HORRIBLE to try and collect. So you spend a ton of money on packs to pull a secret rare card. Cool! Good for you...only a year later they print the same card in a $10 structure deck as a common. Nice secret rare though!

i hate konami for making those packs ...back in the past I spend a lot of money to have exodia an the god cards ...and there where just so hard to get ...no one had them... also these cards with the ship the gold and the kingdom ...like i have the old japanese version that where the rarest shit ever and now anybody can have them ...for me printing the god cards over and over again just ruins this game
True a i got a really rare Japanese version of arkarna dark magician and now it's everywhere.

+GenkiDamaSama Is it even possible to find older cards anymore? I mean, even trying to find a very old card (ie. Magician's Force Dark Paladin) is borderline impossible unless you look online.
And even then, good luck trying to find a good-conditioned one.

it's really only possible to find cards like that regularly online sadly
+GenkiDamaSama The issue with online is that cards can be dirt-cheap to the point where a gumball costs more, but they can also become ludicrously expensive depending on what they are.
I mean, Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight is going for at least 30 dollars right now. It's basically a nerfed XYZ Dragon Cannon, and the latter isn't even worth anything at all.
Maybe it's just because they took one of the most attractive monsters in the game and placed her in stripperific armor. That must be it.

Was so happy to see a bunch of these still available today at the store. Picked one up for myself and one for my friend. For me, I wanted the 5 ultra Exodia pieces...but my friend will LOVE the flavor of the decks as he's a big fan of the cartoon series. Hopefully these 3 decks are fun to play against each other and we can keep them intact to play through some games as they are :D

I bought this box yesterday and it's awesome! If Konami made Yugi's DK(Duelist Kingdom) deck, BC(Battle City) deck and his gadget deck. They should at least make Yugi's Waking the Dragons deck as well someday later.
Good go I need to get my hands on this deck. Even just for the original dark magician... lost the one I had as a kid. I'd definitely love to see a Kaiba and Joey set. Especially if Kaiba's has three original dragons.

I think Jaden would actually work pretty well, you have "1st year" with straight Elemental Heroes, "2nd year" with Neos and the Neo-Spacians, and "3rd year" with Evil Heroes and Yubel. I'd sure as hell buy it!

This is an amazing set. So much nostalgia... It sucks that so many of these cards got power crept to oblivion, but it still has some really good reprints too. I want to play Dark Magician of Chaos legally in my decks so bad it's crazy. Get to updating the ban list already, Konami!
I'm not sure if we'll get other sets like this in the future. At the very least, I can see this happening for Kaiba as well. Unfortunately, the other series protagonists don't have the benefit of first series privileges...

I love the original YuGiOh, but considering how much the game has evolved, looking back, Yugi only having Gaia The Dragon Champion in his extra deck is laughable. Everyone these days has like multiple copies of each card in the extra deck and other cards too.
Loved the battle city Yugi Deck. I personally think that deck was his prime.... even though its probably not as strongest compare to the third deck

I see that we did not get Dark Sage in the Duelist kingdom deck also why was Dark Magician girl in the Duelist Kingdom deck? she did not show up until Season two and in the Battle City deck I did not see Light of interventions and Yami used that in his first Battle City duel.

They should definitely make one for Kaiba. Kaiba's duelist kingdom deck that had the Blue-Eyes White Dragons, Rabid Horseman, and Lord of Dragon. Kaiba's battle city deck that had Obelisk and Blue-Eyes Ultimate. Kaiba's Pyramid of Light deck that had the three Sphinx and Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon.

I found a list online were there were cards Yugi ever used, even is it only made a "cameo" or was in the deck temporary...but still TOO MANY CARDS :p
