this by far is the best camper truck setup I've seen

  • @kodiakdiaries

We love our Truck camper and our Chevy kodiak c4500 for full-time living on the road. Our back seat turns to a bed for our dog. Air ride seats, cab and rear axle makes the ride super comfy loaded rolling down the road. We started with a 3500 and the bed wasted storage options. Flat bed is the way to go for extra storage. One thing I think makes our maintenence easy is our hood that opens backwards ,giving tons of access to the engine. We seen your trip to Alaska, and We could tell it changed you forever🤣 Welcome to the club guys! Truck campers breed adventurers! We just rolled in to Moab now and can't wait to explore. Safe Travels to the both of you and see ya down the road. ❤🤙

This is so informative and the rig is one of the best rigs I have seen with well laid out designs. Thank you you letting us see the remodeling of the inside of your home. Some of the ideas like in the bathroom, the kitchen area, fridge, table, the seating that you put in. The place were I can look for help from. The finish that was put on the table and counter. Thank you so much

Thank you Chad for sharing your videos with us, you may not know all of us but you make it feel like we all know you personally. Thank you for that. Chad; I followed Morton on the Move when they worked with Lancer for a custom build and then epic several months long trip through Alaska. I was quite impressed with the rig from Lancer which this couple were instrumental in the design. It was great they brought us along on that trip and like every trip, nothing goes as planned as they can tell you regarding porcupines eating the electrical wiring under the truck. Thanks for reminding us of this great couple. Travel safe.

I’ve been here since your “Why I live in my van” video (LONG LONG TIME) and have seen the channel and videos grow and I think it’s awesome. I wouldn’t care if you were filming in the snow, in the desert or on a beach! Your filmmaking capabilities are awesome and I look forward to all of it whichever vehicle you’re in! Tom and Caitlyn are super nice people who very efficiently/cost effectively built their vision into reality. The entire build is, from the tires on up, a well balanced blending of a tough as nails off road vehicle and a comfortable attractive "home". Kudos on the power system that only needs a generator back up occasionally to boost it. A girl's gotta have a bathroom that keeps her socks dry!!!

I really think you should focus on ore on what you are doing instead of what others are doing. There are a look ready so many RUclips pages about vehicles and equipment. This is so redundant. I watch you because of your love for roughing it in the wild. To me the more things you use to make camping comfortable, you might as well drive an RV. Your old van, knife, ax, Dutch oven and lots of snow, is the best. This is just ones man's honest opinion and maybe no one agrees with me. But you are talented and knowledgeable.

Haha that kinda seems like a hypocritical statement to make wouldn’t you think? “you should focus on what you are doing instead of what others are doing” while you’re writing a comment about what I should be doing?

And by the way, it’s the exact same ruffing it with the exact same knife, the exact same ax, and the exact same Dutch oven. And now with the sprinter van, I get further off grid for longer periods of time than ever before. The adventures are the same, if not even more adventurous as they were before. Shots are filmed the same way, the story is told the same way, the fire is built the same way. The axe is used the same way. The Sprinter is featured in some driving shots as I get myself to a camp spot where I camp and cook - exactly as the old van was. Now the van is simply a different color and a different shape now. The formula is all the same as before. It’s not like once the sprinter showed up all I do is sit inside and cook my frozen meals in a microwave in a KOA Kampground - now THAT, I could understand the concern for….

I miss my truck camper in many ways but my van has a lot of advantages as well.
