Surprise Patch Killed Combo Druid! We are getting a surpise hotfix hearthstone patch today that bans splish splash whelp, which kinda kills the deck. Not being able to ramp and also losing one extra dragon activator is huge for the deck, so this patch should definitely shake up the meta. What do you think about this hearthstone patch?

card has been deleted, what are some cards that can be replaced?
Play the 5 damage dragon or the spell damage location instead if that is what you meant.
The deck is still playable...because you still have the mana cheat with Doomkin and Malfurion's Gift. Instead of the banned card I put in the 5 mana dragon or the location.
Now the deck is in a normal and good state imho.
It was quite a nerf and came surprisingly but it was a good choice.
That is a good thing. But i fear we might see rogues over rogues now

@@steveluna1627in no moment have they left first place, people where just bored out of their minds of playing paladino and switched to druid.
@@steveluna1627 On what rank? On legend the best Paladin deck has about 50% win rate. that is far from the best deck.
So far, after the Hotfix, i saw mostly rogue (as expected), Priest and DK.

Completed this deck yesterday... Well. Just switched whelps with protodragons, got rid of eonar and yogg. Added aviana instead and ramped with gifts and doomkins... It's still horribly OP. Popped 9x fayes from gift (marin)and poor bastard was speechless...

this may be a stupid idea, but what about put in 2 wild growth instead, same job kinda, does reduce your dragon activators though
if wild growth wasn't in wild, you'd definitely do that :D

Just put in the 5 damage dragon or the location. Malfurions gift 2x which already should be in the deck gives you Wild growth and with Doomkin together thats enough ramping.

I spent 15 bucks to play combo druid. Lol. Now they nerf it. Sheesh.
Pretty safe rule to only play the OP deck if you already have the cards. They always get hit

Still owning tho,not much of a nerf
Na, the impact is to great, splish splash was huge, without able to ramp early like we did before the deck feels wayyy to slow for early game we're just getting overwhelmed. The nerf is somewhat justified though.
@@victorsoto4821it's a big nerf but you still have the 1 mana dragon or the 1 mana choose spell for early game. Turn 3 or 4 Malfurions gift ramping and then as usual. Doomkin is the bigger problem.
The meta for the entirety of workshop has been so scuffed. It makes me feel not excited for the upcoming expac but I will end up getting the mega bundle anyways cause if not I'll feel like I won't have everything to play the meta like I normally do

This is great but i kinda hope the deck is still playable. I got back to the game recently and Druid has been the most enjoyable deck thus far for me, i hope the deck stays somewhat viable.

Remembering all the broken decks in the last years we suffered from over weeks and months this nerf came pretty fast.

Apparently devs listen too much to the Community. First Doomkin flies under the radar, now this. In the meantime Handbuff Pally is breakdancing on the Ladder and nobody seems to care. Lowest point in the history of this game maybe

The deck is not all that hype, both paladin decks are WAY more deserving of nerfs than this. opinion coming from somebody who is bored out of his mind from current meta and hitted legend after maybe 6 hours of ranked queu spread across last week by farming this overhyped deck.
Dev team has no idea of what they are doing, and it shows.
Reminder that mage had no viable decks in standart this entire expansion, and no a deck that relies on 80% of ladder being the one deck you are good against to be able to maintain a 55%+ wr is NOT a viable deck.

Bros, paladin got real nerfs, and all ppl forget that, in the 1st Expansion nerf paladin got nerf in 3 cards, last time showdown got a nerf too, they did not broke the deck, but it got nerf too

The problem is not some small Dragon it is the MANY cards in th game that are not equalling their mana cost so "mana cheating" the only lazy game idea that repeats every single season.
Also FACE damage should not exist in a non interactive game.If the opponent had counter spells in hand to actually have an interactive game then sure face dmg is not as bad.This is a board gmae it SHOULD be played on the board not just each player doing their own thing waiting to get face dmg.
MANY other terrible issues like no answers for locations...wtf? no aoe silence ...wtf? and will the game EVER be an interactive game a true player versus player game?

You can play the 3 mana card that destroys a location and/or run a Reno deck.
