- LUM!X and Pia Maria will represent Austria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin with the song 'Halo'.
The DJ born Luca Michlmayr began producing music at the age of 11, and is currently one of Austria’s most successful artists.
The son of an Italian mother, he used to live in the host city of Turin, and so the Eurovision Song Contest represents a true highlight for the young artist.
He'll be joined by 18 year old Pia Maria from Tyrol, Austria, who features on the track.

@@sigilen68 Those countries you have listed would all fall under pop music, just different kinds of. Same with the ballads not being all the same kind. Cyprus is an ethnic pop song and so doesn't fit the three "kinds of music" you list. The UK is no ballad, rock song or really weird either.

It should be called Eurovision Vocals Contest, because clearly the vocals are the only thing that matters. Otherwise I cannot explain how is it possible that very boring songs like Greece, Portugal and Switzerland made it to the finals while a huge bangers like Austria was snubbed. 🤬
You have to know, most people watching the eurovision haven't listened to the songs beforehand. Her singing was atrocious. That is the first impression the audience (and the juries!!!) had. But I agree, Greece and Portugal are way overrated by the fans.
