this is so catchy and it's been stuck in my head. i don't understand why it didn't get a lot of points as the performance was amazing! much love from the UK :)
Because Eurovision songs, especially recently are either won by Power ballad/Anthems or a memorable dance track that doesn't have a complex theme. I mean the audience were probably trying to work out what the 0.003 meant. Also being first in the running order probably didn't help. Last couple of years it's been a man at a piano or singing a slow ballad. Portugal and Netherlands for example.
Alles Gute!
This song is my new favorite, it's pure genius, it's a masterpiece! It's catchy, danceable and memorable. Both the song and Teya and Salena are very unique and have a lot of character and personality. Also the message behind the song is really important but sadly a lot of people don't recognize the deep meaning behind the lyrics. And the most important thing: They can sing this live, they have great voices!
This was the best song of 2023: campy, funny, catchy, and actually made a point. It's a lesson in why staging is important, because they didn't bring the video to life or include the same comedy, so it didn't do as well as it should've. But this will forever be one of my favorite Eurovision songs!
This is the first time I have ever heard of Edgar…And I’m not regretting, this song is an amazing way to know about him, great job Austria!!!!! POE POE POE POE POE EDGAR ALLEN POE!!!!!🇦🇹 And now I don’t know which I like more from Austria,Sacher-Torte or this song
"There’s a ghost in my body and he is a lyricist ... Don’t know how he possessed me, but I’m happy that he did ... Maybe I should call a doctor or an exorcist" 12 point for a song which is from top to bottom literally about demon possession. No smokes no mirrors, just possession. Pretty funny ... and I´m not surprised.

Rooting for Austria, big support from Zagreb. Croatia! One of my favourite places, so rich history, beautiful old towns, my favourite classical composers (being a piano teacher!)... Not to mention that once upon a time we were in the same country! Back to the point... This song has been stuck in my head for the past few days since I heard it. Great rhythm, interesting video and just a dose of grotesque and apsurdity... Just what I like to hear!
I don't want to say you are wrong but you are. Did you heard song from Czech Republic (Czechia) or Serbia? Did you listen to Moldovia or even Australia? In my opinion this year it was hard to give one big star of the show.

Interesting comment. Because many of these "energetic" songs, specially when they sound like millions of songs I've heard before....produce that exact effect on me...being bored to death.

@@pt4005 ? These lyrics are so well thought through. Kinda like Mata Hari. You don't expect it from the beginning but it is an actual story adjusted to modern history. Search for Edgar Allan Poe, who he was and what he did and then listen to the lyrics again. The song criticizes the music industry! "At least it pays to be funny" ironically.
Honestly Absolutely not, it's the worst song I've ever seen at esc or at any other music Platform or festival or music industry, but the both singers are good people, with another song, would be better choice because the both are good singers, and this song don't let them shine at all or give any good perspective to win I am afraid they would be the last place and the both derseve more because they are be able to do more.
This is brilliant. Clever, fun and catchy as hell while still managing to express a serious message about the music industry. I love it. This will do really well at eurovision if the staging and live performances are on point. A serious dark horse.

Thanks for shedding some light on this sad reality, Teya and Salena. Good luck in Liverpool, Austria! ❤🇵🇪🇦🇹😊
I love your song this year!! Blanca is amazing, i wish you good luck 🇦🇹❤️🇪🇸
@@xromyx Thx for supporting Blanca. I’m from Peru, but Ea Ea is one of my fave entries too. Here's hoping Spain and Austria smash it in May! ❤🤞🙂
A song about Edgar Allan Poe on Eurovision... The world is turning out to be a wonderful place.
Fr
Do not forget the rest of the meaning ...
So disappointed by the poor live performance but this was easily the best song and video last year. Love it.
Edgar is a lyrical genius Austria thank you for bringing the fun to Eurovision love from the UK 🇦🇹🇬🇧
This song is so addictive. I hope Austria gets to the top 5 at least. Good luck from Czechia 🇨🇿
Eej ďakujemee 🫶🎉
this and sister's crown for top two.
We need joy in this cruel world, Europe needs to party after 3 awful years of Pandemic. This song is so feel good very good vibes. 12 points from France to Austria
😍❤️❤️
THEY WERE SO UNDERATED THEY DESERVE TO BE IN TOP 10
I love this so much, it’s absolutely criminal this didn’t get at least top 10. It’s my winner without doubt. Brilliant tune, fun dance, talented women. Teya & Salena should be proud of themselves. Much love from the UK
Austria bringing the moment of the Eurovision 2023 season so far, this is fucking incredible.

Poland: Can we have a song critiquing music industry with an operatic element in ESC?
Poland: Nahhh
Austria: HELL YEAHHH
12 points from 🇵🇱! seriously congratulations, you have an amazing entry this year, and we envy you so much🥺❣️
I love Jann!! So sad he's not gonna go to eurovision :(
🇦🇹🇵🇱

@@xromyx I'm still upset to this day 😭. If he represented Poland that would've been my number 1 song for this year
So true 😅
There's smth that can heal our pain a little. Jann will perform on March 11 at the Melodifestivalen, don't miss it ^^
0:40 Angels are speaking to my ears. Such a good arrangement and voices through the song though

If you want a fun fact, you can see « Liverpool » on their plates, wich is this year’s host city. But also, the number is 1305 or 13/05 or May the 13th (in European date) wich is the day of the grand final.
I’m hoping you will make it, Salena and Teya ❤️💫
Really! I'd never notice that, ty for telling us
So is this a refrence that Austria will be back in the finals this year?
@@NoahLewis_Ayling this is a reference to Austria winning the semi final 😮💨
Austria will also perform the 13th in 2nd semi
@@mirgjendalipi5517 yes but when the clip was out, they didn’t know it so it’s not related
I am from the UK and as soon as I heard this I loved it, I genuinely think this should have won hands down!
Although the Live Performance wasn’t what I envisioned, this will forever be one of my favourite Eurovision Music Videos
this is so catchy and it's been stuck in my head. i don't understand why it didn't get a lot of points as the performance was amazing! much love from the UK :)
Alles Gute!
This is easily more memorable than the majority of songs. Utterly brilliant!
I don't know why but something tells me they actually enjoyed this. And so did I.
I can’t get enough of this. First song this year I’ve instantly put on repeat
such a hit!
Same. I can't stop listening to it. HELP.
Amazing! Austria is finally in the final again!
12 points from Israel 🇮🇱❤🇦🇹
This was the best song of 2023: campy, funny, catchy, and actually made a point. It's a lesson in why staging is important, because they didn't bring the video to life or include the same comedy, so it didn't do as well as it should've. But this will forever be one of my favorite Eurovision songs!
This is the first time I have ever heard of Edgar…And I’m not regretting, this song is an amazing way to know about him, great job Austria!!!!!
POE POE POE POE POE EDGAR ALLEN POE!!!!!🇦🇹
And now I don’t know which I like more from Austria,Sacher-Torte or this song
No smokes and mirrors; just a clean performance and they nailed it!!!!

"There’s a ghost in my body and he is a lyricist ...
Don’t know how he possessed me, but I’m happy that he did ...

The most chaotic bop of the year! 😍

Chaotic? You forgot Croatia...👀
Yes it's chaotic, a different type of chaotic, not like Croatia. People are just so limited, and think th to be chaotic u just have to be 1 thing, no there's million of different types of chaotic and this is one of them, FOR SURE! Open your horizons.
@@ApolloRR Come on Croatia is way more chaotic but in fact, i like both of them cause it's something new and i hope that Austria gets a good result in the final.
2023 was such an amazing Eurovision year tbh. There were like four or five great songs that could have won

Austria deserved more!! I'm totally obsessed with this song! Well done, from Italy
Just the best song ever 😭😭

I don't even watch Eurovision but somehow found this, I think it's going to win
I mean this song is in the weaker semi final I say it might actually do very well since it’s a 100% tele. But the the final had the chance to be a very strong final example of strong players Sweden, Norway, Finland, and France. I say they might end maybe 15-10
This is my absolute #1 song of Eurovision 2023, though I think that Sweden, France, or Finland have greater odds at winning. Regardless, my vote is going to Austria lol.
I should listen the Sweden song then
as someone who’s been watching eurovision since i learned to walk, this song is great and has an amazing message behind it but it’s unfortunately not going to win. hopefully top 10 though
This is a great song for musicians or people that has a certain cultural luggage ...Top five would be great.

In English.. these lyrics have absolutely no meaning. It’s gibberish
Honestly Absolutely not, it's the worst song I've ever seen at esc or at any other music Platform or festival or music industry, but the both singers are good people, with another song, would be better choice because the both are good singers, and this song don't let them shine at all or give any
good perspective to win
I am afraid they would be the last place and the both derseve more because they are be able to do more.
This is brilliant. Clever, fun and catchy as hell while still managing to express a serious message about the music industry. I love it. This will do really well at eurovision if the staging and live performances are on point. A serious dark horse.
I am watching ESC for 20 years now. I have never supported Austria like I am doing this year!
