At the World Cup, all of Japan was really excited. But the world will be like this in the next few months. Considering now, I am very grateful that the Rugby World Cup was held safely. In such a situation, sports cannot be performed satisfactorily. There are many Japanese people who think that the Tokyo Olympics should be canceled in the current situation. I don't know when it will happen, but I am waiting for the day when everyone around the world can share smiles and excitement through sports. New Zealander here - the ABs **really** screwed it up in the semi vs England. Credit to England though - how they didn't put **40** points on us that day I'll never know. They were *that* good. 7 minutes. That's all it took for them to get the points that won the game. It was always going to be a tough one and we could not afford to go to sleep, but we did for 7 minutes. I’ve watched this game so many times. South Africa had a good game against England in the final to win the World Cup. England beat the All Blacks but we beat England. Cheslin Kolbe No.14 such a great finisher and defender. No11 Maphimpi unfortunately missed so many tackles that caused NZ to score.

South africa was stronger in the opening minutes but started making silly mistakes. Plus they figured out our defense, we strong but slow lol best way to get past south african defense is the wing. South africa were expecting a arm wrestle here, all blacks played it smart
I honestly think they tried out a different strategy here in their opening game, with Erasmus assuming that they'd meet the all blacks in the final if they were to make it.
Yeh the ABs are really good at using the opponent’s mistakes and using the space they have
7 minutes. That's all it took for them to get the points that won the game. It was always going to be a tough one and we could not afford to go to sleep, but we did for 7 minutes. The rest of the game we pretty much had under control.
Doesn't really matter though, we have 'Bill" in our trophy cabinet.... XD

Strange thing is that, in the modern professional era, not many rugby players get the career ending injuries that soccer players and boxers seem to still get. Lot of protection rules. Very strict, the IRB, on these rules. A lengthy ban is not unheard of, for dangerous play.

Usually when you drop your elbow to the ground in a scrum its, because you can't withstand the pressure coming from the opposition, dropping the elbow effectively stops the opposition from pushing you back, or makes it very very difficult.
