Crystal Mall Still Photographs (30 Jan 2024)

Here are around 94 photos taken inside the Crystal Mall in Waterford, CT. This mall opened in the fall of 1984 and was "the" mall in the area for several decades. However, like most malls in the country, traffic to it has greatly decreased. I'd estimate that only half the stores are open. It was a weekday around 1pm, but there were very few people in the mall. I do not see how this mall can remain viable in its current state. It is a beautiful facility, just turning 40 years old... the future of this facility is uncertain.

It's much bigger than Eastfield Mall... but unfortunately might suffer the same demise. Hardly any people in it compared to 20 years ago.

​@@RocketRobertsBrass mill Center in Waterbury is in rough shape too. Enfield Square is empty, I heard a rumor that they did not renew anyone's lease. Enfield Square has the only remaining Steiger's and G Fox buildings....

I have never been to Brass Mill Mall (too far from me). Have not been to Enfield Square in a long time either.
