  • A quick step by step on replacing rear shocks on a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle. This is a fairly straight forward process and applies to a lot of vehicles the same way. I hope you enjoy following along as I do the work and perhaps get some inspiration to tackle this yourself. Thanks for watching!

Do you need to do an alignment after replacing the rear shocks? Or is it only necessary if you replace the front struts?

If you do rear shocks, you definitely don’t need to get an alignment. If you get front struts done, I would recommend it. After things have been worn out so long, it’s always best to get an alignment with new components like that to ensure proper tire wear.
