I just retired my Tab S2 and got a new s5e. I had 3 requirements: 10 inch, AMOLED, battery life. Hands down the only choice for me.

I use my S5e to read comic books/manga and images just look incredible on the AMOLED screen. So lightweight to hold with one hand too. The processor is old now and the 4gb ram can feel limiting compared to new tablets but for my usage, the S5e is perfect.

I can't stress enough how good this is for reading manga. I've got a Tab S (first generation) with a 2k resolution and a Super Amoled screen and it looks incredible. It's a shame that the cpu is pretty outdated nowadays and it's stuck on Android 6.

I have a Tab S5e. It's great. Much better resolution than Ipad 8th or 9 generation. Feels really premium for the price. Exceptional for watching videos.

I own a tab s5e, not too big, not too small, great image and even greater sound. For multimedia purposes an absolute top tablet. I don't even think about going bigger. I just love this one.

Its better than the S6 Lite which has an LCD screen.
Been 2years , got mine couple of months before the s7 launch. Legit this is the perfect machine for media consumption. Lightweight at 400g , SAMOLED which the s7 doesn't have its a TFT, BATTERY LIFE. Don't even need to upgrade abytime soon.
Will surely try a custom rom on it down the line.

Watching this on my Galaxy tab s5e..Had it for almost 2 years now, Can't recommend it enough, it's the best value for money in tablets.. the performance is not flagship but it gets the job done

Trust me you will be surprized by its performance.. I have realme X2 pro with SD 855 plus and The tab s5e is holding up pretty well

Thanks, many reviewers want that we buy the latest technology even when we have better technologies from other years. very few reviewers make videos of old but very usable technology today as this s5e
I also have the Galaxy Tab S5e and it seems like a very good tablet, however, the only flaw I see is its WiFi antenna and therefore its connectivity, because if you have the tablet in a horizontal position with the camera on the right, With your hand you cover the Wi-Fi antenna and you can see that the Wi-Fi power decreases significantly. Unfortunately there is no way to solve it through software, so we must use it vertically or on the other side.
Bought the 6GB/128GB at launch with all discounts for only 190 Euro (traded in an old broken tablet + extra discount). Chose the 6GB model just in case support ends and wanted to be sure I would be able to use LineageOS.
I work over nights 11 to 7 and I love this tablet. It's perfect for watching movies and playing games like sega dreamcast

This is a still good tablet. The Storage isnt high enough but good for using games/internet surfing (using an 128gb/6gb ram with android 9)

unfortunately i traded this one in on a galaxy tab s8, it was a great tablet but probably not getting many updates anymore.
had it since 2019 and I've noticed a degraded performance with the processor it's a bit choppy for games now it can usually run 30 FPS on high end games now It's pretty sad

I have one of these and it's great. I considered buying a Tab S8 but I don't see much advantage. Most of my serious work is now on Chromebooks, but this remains my portable machine because it's so light and easy to carry.

What can you say about s5e display? They say that AMOLED is harmful for eye - what is about your feelings?
And did you observe that image quality became worse long time later?
Who says it's harmful to your eyes? I actually think all screens are not good for your eyes. Working on a computer all day and mine are ready for sleep LOL

I just got the s7 and it's a bit too big and heavy, plus there's a ton of motion blur. Too bad the s5e tab is a bit underpowered and won't get newer updates
I brought it back to service after I watched it.
Mine stays at Android 9 due to rooted (L1 stays intact with Netflix)
Everything looks good and dandy

yep !i justt bought a bobj rubber cover for it and it has given new life to my 2019s5e! hoW? because now i can take it everywhere without the fear of slipping out of my hands. SuperAMOLED and a huge screen. I read a lot of pdf books downloaded from archive. its like carrying the book itself.
Still an amaaing deal in 2022, and until and unless the qndroid updates make it too slow in another 2,3 years.

Samsung mentioned OneUI 3.1 would come with the feature Second Screen to use the tablet as a display for another android or windows device. Could someone please check to see if this feature is available? I'd like to use it as a Dex display for my Galaxy phone, because it's extremely portable.

Yes it will.It's good for gaming but don't expect to play every game on ultra graphics and get 60 fps because u will get 60 fps on high,medium or low graphics depends on the game.

Own this tablet as well as tab s7+. It's great for video playback, games, emulation. Best part is how lightweight it is, Which makes it great for travel in a bag. Only real complaint is the internet browsing speed is meh on some websites when loading lots on screen due to mid processor. Not a deal breaker. Camera quality sucks too, like most tabs. I'd definitely recommend it though. Size can take getting used to.
Many thanks for your reviews and comparisons.! Needed a new tablet (A6 2016 haha) and was in the market for A8 or S6 Lite. I ended up with a good as new S5E 128/6 gb for €150,- and very happy with it. Not playing games so it should last for a while using media only. When using in horizontal mode I do see a major drop in network speed but that is due to a stupid design placing the WiFi antenna in the left corner. If network signal is low, just flip it the other way around and you got that issue fixed as well. Beautiful and fast tablet without breaking the bank.

mine doesn't have that issue so i can't really say if that's the case for all out there. You could also look at the Tab s6 which has super amoled and better performance plus an s pen

The only two missing parts is the 3.5mm jack but i believe can use some adapter and stoping the security updates.

yes it will only charge up to its highest capacity, so if it charges up to 20w it will only charge that much on a higher wattage

Great video. Updates are my main concern. I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition which has not received updates and now so much software is not supported. The tablet is working, but it is "obsolete".

This one is almost out of updates but they revised the Galaxy s6 lite (2022 edition) that I’m working on a video for now.
Just returned a Lenovo P11 Pro, Oled, 2k, 11", Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, 6gb ram, 128gb rom, because it has no Widevine L1 certification, so just 960×540p resolution on streaming plataforms, Netflix, HBO Max and Disney+, that was the main reason for me to buy a tablet in first place. I'm now considering a Samsung S5e, ok it as way less memory, older processor. But i just want to stream multimedia content.

Yes doesn't support sim card but from the settings you can connect to Samsung only Mobile and received and make calls and texts supports only on Samsung phone from s8 and later on mobiles I test it and works absolutely fantastic 😍

S6 Lite is being discounted right now. I just purchased one for $220 USD (I’m in Canada) but I’m expecting them to continue putting it out around that price to push them all out. I wish I could find a S5e but it’s still $500 USD here which is insane.

S5e has better screen resolutionthan S6lite. Plus, the S5e has a micro sd slot. Don't think the S6lite has one. S5e has thinner bezels too over the A8 and S6 lite. Basically, it's the best tablet out of the three

I had one. After 9 months occured issue of screen lifting up. Service centre informed me there is no stock of battery. So they offered me refund and I accepted.
In my opinion lack of pen support is a big drawback. There is no palm rejection.
It's very useful for media consumption and reading.
