    Throwing the chords up like you do
    right on the screen is EXCELLENT,
    vs; ''this little finger
    goes on fret number 6 and yer' big finger
    goes over there to the number 4 fret on
    there' 5th strang' which is C# and then.... 😄😄
    -------------
    The big channels that have a million plus
    subs don't do that, they waste so much
    of our time, and we can't tell if a finger is
    on a note or just hanging around, they
    don't even bother to lift the unused fingers
    out of the way or try to. Thanks, great format here.

    Another outstanding job on how to play a song. And finally someone telling how to use the harmony with this pedal. That's the main reason I bought it. Hitchin a ride, my favorite Boston song. Is one of the top 100 songs with the greatest solo.

    Nice lesson, great song. Yes , the harmonizer is soooo good. I think he was one if not the first to take that effect mainstream Tom was actually very underrated but very much one of the greats of all time. Just listen to Boston and tell me if I'm wrong. That first album was EPIC for sure. He was also a mastermind with electronics hence Rockman stereo echo, my fav all time delay, Rockman stereo chorus lush and beautiful. I have had the echo for years now and will never sell it. Peace!

    Talking about pedals. Way back about 1992 I was on one of the very early on line guitar chat forums and I wanted to know if anyone knew about making effect pedals. At that time I wanted one that would change the guitar tuning without me having to do it. Or drop D tuning and things like that. EVERYONE on line just said I was stupid to think anyone would do that and it couldn't possibly be done. I just wanted more than fuzz and chorus pedals

    12 FOOT CHAIN, Tom Scholz uses Modulations, key changes, sus chords, it would be nice if you made a video lesson just showing which boston songs how they key change and modulate and using Sus chords to pivot. The scales he uses are major scales and minor scale but the Themes are a Note group Pitchset because he will play the melody theme then shift the note of the theme to start on a different scale degree and restate the theme starting on a different scale degree of the theme. I think this is called pitchset and pitch area in classical music but you should get a bunch of boston themes that do this and make a video lesson about it.

  • @yactabay
    @yactabay Год назад

    I had wanted to do my own video teaching this song but life just gets in the way. How do you guys find the time? Couple of things aren’t exactly like on the song but if I’d make a video it would probably turn out I have a couple of things not exact either. Boston and Kansas are my two favorite bands and this is my favorite Boston song. Get a multi-effect floor unit that has an intelligent harmonizer and then you can use its acoustic guitar modeler as well as the octaves that works to get you close to what it does at the end of the song between harmony parts. That part is octaves with a bit of harmony. Hard to explain it.
