I don’t know anything about coding, so I don’t know how hard this would be, but possibly adding a 変体仮名 option would be even more useful for reading cursive. Either way, this is a fantastic tool and I’m excited to use it!
Can't say how many people would start this journey. Way more than advanced and targeted to specialists ending up in excessive offer. Maybe semi cursive would have found higher interest as more pratically used by most of Japanese people nowadays.
Interesting ways for learners in order to, well "dealing" with Cursive Kanji that you've shown. But as someone who has a quite big addiction towards writing kanji by hand on paper, I have to say, this cursive script looks ugly as heck. I would probably like never get enough motivation to adjust my so far quite sensitively learned understanding and ability of recalling even the more uncommonly used 'normal looking' radicals/graphemes just for turning them into such a mishmash where half of the stuff written plainly looks the same. For me, writing the Japanese script is more an art form than an actual 'useful' way of communication or expression. So yes I agree, unless you wanna get that nitpicky skill of being able to read old handwritten stories or flexing a bit on others about your skills, I highly doubt there's any real use beyond that and I'm actually really glad it is this way cuz the script just looks like griffonage ("Sauklaue" in German) to me, similar to what you've shown on one of these two sheets.
we've reached insane levels of features for this addon, what's next? Is it going to learn japanese instead of me?
Yep
This video made cursive japanese a little bit less scary but it still haunts me

I knew 鬱 was coming.
When I saw this, I thought it was 言, and hot so cocky for a sec how the HELL is that 歯😂😭
So cursive kanji are an entirely new set that basically have nothing to do with the ones you already learned.
This is seriously amazing.
My left ear liked the ending 🙃
🙃 Mine too.
I seen the kanji for 星 hoshi in an anime called barakamon and i was like WTf
This doesn't look like 星 at all
I didn't know these kanji existed

Chinese is the same so many characters look the same but are used and sound differently 还 for example

Loved the part when you were reading it
Good stuff. Is the kouzanC font up for download anywhere, so that it can be used on Anki cards for instance?
Isn`t the japanese cursive deck in any possible way usable if one`s learning mandarin chinese?
I think the way Chinese and Japanese write might be different. I'm just guessing though
Yes, it's different.
"Depression" is so whacky, it's actually one of the kanji I've just memorised through brute force 😂
i only learned that one from seeing 「涼宮ハルヒの憂鬱」written out a lot lol
Memorize through brute force. I love that term lol ima start saying it from now on. Thanks for the input man
@@user-qh7rw5gy5i lol. It seemed to describe my way of having to learn it fairly well.
Funny! Thanks for making these!
the twitter posts with the premiere links trigger me, I get blueballed every time

Is it me or does Yoga’s hair look like Matt? XD
Japanese and Chinese cursive is still easier to read than Russian cursive 😂😂😂
