    M.A.Sundaram;The list of songs;
    1.ekambareswara,karnataka suddha saveri, adi, MD
    2.Gurulekha, Gowrimanohari, Khanda chapu, Thyagaraja.
    3.RTP, hamsanandi, Adi, Kalpana swaras in natakurunji and shddha dhanyasi.
    Such performances must surely draw huge audiences to veena performances. What a command over the instrument! She has imbibed the best of the traditions of Balachander and Lalgudi Jayaraman.

      The first ragam is not revathi. revathi does not containdhaivatam.

      sundaram sastry The first ragam is 'Karnataka Shuddha Saveri' and not just 'Shuddha Saveri ', as the two are entirely different!

    My homage to such an excellent Veena player. There is so much peace, depth and beauty in the music. Also so nice to watch such graceful expressions on her face while playing.

    Very crisp playing - hallmark of Jayanthi K. All notes "spelt" out cleanly bringing out all the emotion spontaneously makes her music really divine.

    'ஜெயந்தி குமரேஷ்' அவர்களுடைய வீணை கச்சேரியை ரொம்பவே கேட்டுள்ளேன். அவர் அமைதியான வாசிப்பு நிச்சயம் அனைவரையும் ஈர்க்கும். அது உண்மை தான். அவர் பாடிய "ஏகாம்பரேஸ்வரா" க்ருதியை [கர்நாடகா சுத்த சாவேரி ராகத்தில்] கேட்கும்போது அந்த ""ஏகாம்பரேஸ்வரர் " கோயிலின் கோவில் முன் அமைந்த அந்த கோபுரத்தில் ...அவர் ஒவ்வொரு தளமாக ஏறுவது போல் எனக்குத் தோன்றுகிறது. அதாவது அவர் பாட்டில் இந்த எண்ணம் தொரியது என் மனசில். அடுத்த பாட்டில் அவர் குரு யார் என்ற கேள்வி எழுகிறது. நன்றி. "Manian"

    At 10:23 she inserted the melody of a famous cine song called "Paatum Naane" composed in the same raga she was performing an Alapana in - Gourimanohari. Isn't that wonderful? Just pure excitement and happiness when I heard that.

    This is my first time really staying up late and listening to veena music. So deep and subtle. It's omnipresence is really impossible to describe. It's not guitar, sitar, or like anything I've heard before. It's veena. Beautiful. A lovely rendering of Saramaina on veen brought me here. These tunes are called Kritis, is that correct? I"m new to Carnatic music. I love it very much.. Thank you.

    • @sarvanivakkalanka2293
      @sarvanivakkalanka2293 7 лет назад +1

      If you mean Saramaina maatalenno, then it is a Javali and not a kriti. Yes, Carnatic Music is incredibly beautiful.

    • @MusicLove1012
      @MusicLove1012 7 лет назад +2

      Yes! Veena :') The songs are generally called Kritis with 3 parts to it (usually) - The pallavi (introductory phrases), Anupallavi (Secondary phrases) and the Charanam (Paragraph). There are variants of the 'Kriti' though with additional notes called Swaras, and other improvisations based on the Raga such as Neraval (Improvisation of a single line). Glad you enjoy Carnatic Music! Welcome to the family :)

    • @avinashchalam
      @avinashchalam 6 лет назад +3

      The pièce de résistance is called Ragam Tanam Pallavi. Here she played Raga Hamsanandi in three version. An unstructured exploration of the notes and the feelings (Ragam), a rhythmic pattern of the same notes (Tanam) and a song (Pallavi). Then she mixed it up to play with the audiences' emotions by adding sweet natakurunji and dignified suddha dhanyasi ragas. Isn't she amazing?

      Avinash Sheshachalam No doubt she is amazing. So is your explanation!

    She's a super accomplished musician. But I much prefer an instrument well mic-ed instead of a wired pickup. At least in this recording, the subtle mellower aspects of the instrument seem lacking.

    Jayanthi Kumaresh's Veena recital is excellent & enchanting. But calling the lady rather any one as goddess/matha saraswathi is not correct. you can say she is blessed by goddess saraswathi.
