@@theshortlist Tilta is coming with Lidar accessory, someone accidentally showed it. But AF work for solo operators who own the camers and the lenses, but focus puller more often come across have to only focus on one or few days projects and have zero prep time to calibrate. Then DJI focus pro your paying a lot for function not often have time to prep, but also DJI does not trigger many cameras and no cinema cams like arri or red, while Tilta can trigger many cinema cameras. For actual professional focus puller use I rather be using Tilta
I have nucleus M, but i want to pull focus from my sony g masters on dji rs4, so will the nano 2 motor will power up from type c from ronin rs4? because for nucleus m motor i had to attach 2nd grip handle and power it from there to Lemo cable, it messes up balancing, also can I use nano 2 motor with nucleus M device? 🤔
I saw somewhere that you can have focus scale on portkeys monitor with Tilta focus units. Do you have experience with it? Can’t find any information online
The Nano 2 offers many improvements over the original Nano, and may have undermined the value of the Nucleus M. The display on the Nano 2 hand control is nice and clear, although it is covered up by the hand when in use. I much prefer the hand grips for the Nucleus M system, as the Nano handgrips are ergonomically difficult and the miniscule OLED is nearly impossible to read in good light, and impossible to read in bright light. Fortunately, there is a way to get one of the Nucleus M handgrips to communicate with the Nano 2 motor, which comes in handy when I use the Nucleus M grip on my shoulder rig.
I have been using it for almost a whole year on professional film sets as can see in the video with cinema cameras like Arri Alexa Mini, Sony F55, Sony FX9 and more. All footage are me filming quick shots with my phone showing real BTS footage. M2 likely still a year away till you can buy it and Nano II base model only cost 299 bucks and also build uit with mods still gonna cost only fraction of M or M2.
@@chungdha Ok that sounds good. I dont like touch control and USB-C ports but maybe thats ok. I would somehow have to figure out how to make a Arri WCU 4 style Hand Grip for the Nano, because right now you mounted it to the monitor on the C-Stand. Do you pull from holding it in your hands with the monitor and how is that?
and compare with the DJI Focus pro ? the focus pro can also be used with the lidar... when af is Needed !

How did you 3d print that measuring thing
Hey, great video I agree with getting the Nano 2 rather than waiting.
What handle are you using to mount your follow station to C stands?
@@anikamillington6595 Here is detail video of my focus station using Nano ii ruclips.net/video/lqmBpwmB0RE/видео.htmlsi=4wTBCYwh7NTw_KMt
3:20 This problem have been solved, I managed to make both work together
Any how to do it? Because I try it kicks out one of the motor and need to relink.
great video, one question, do you have any tilta handle? Im asking to check compatibility around the old m motors and the new handle from n ii
I dont have the grip, honestly also don't need it as 1st AC often don't need to have 3 motor control nor need joystick to control a gimbal.
The M is a better choice for focus pulling, I use both and the M works somehow more responsive on slower movement.
Don't have such issue, also I am using my 3d knob which increase the size and able to do precise focussing also on slower movements.

Nano 2 motor will power up from USB-C on the Ronin RS
@chungdha and does nano 2 motor work with nucleus m device?
Can i put on a Tilta Nucleus-Nano to your 3d print arri WCU 4 style Hand Grip
And how about latency in nano ii,? for example smallrig magic fiz is faster but it has only 0,5 nm torque
Smallrig has an odd delay, it kinda need to be active to be quick otherwise it be will start up with a delay. Nano II has no delay
@@chungdha good to know, thank you!
